Hey I was just curious how those from closed beta, other than myself, feel about it being in open, now that it has been for a while. I personally like seeing all the new faces but then again the game feels like its gotten a bit easier due to newberries. Also I'm not so sure that it was ready to face an onslaught of console gamers who are used to highly polished games. I think alot might try it and decide it sucks based on Beta gameplay. (as made clear by spike of people hating on this game on forum) |

Berserker007 wrote:there are positives and negatives about the open beta.
Positives:
-new players
Negative:
- didn't give a new build -haven't fixes bugs that have been around for 6 months -have went on vacation 2x in last month, so problems still persist -still dont listen to the community (in regards to bugs) -STILL no dev-blogs -information is essentially non-existent (where look at PS2, they give their players A LOT of info on whats to come) - corp battles still 8v8 (even though tourny was 16v16) -still no new content
so yeah, lots of negatives, but these have been persistent since E3. so essentially only good thing is the new players, as it allows us vets to really stat pad :P true on alot of this however about the ps2 thing you have to remember that game is already released maybe that has an effect on the info they release? |

Unless you intentionally gimp yourself the game doesn't feel easier, it is easier. With the vets having their skills leveled up and running around with Duvolle's and Boundless HMG's; us newberries get cut down like wheat by a sickle. I think you underestimate the amount personal skill can change the battle. I am trained for the high level stuff and use it when i want to, but mostly when im grinding for sp and isk i just run militia and still finish on top on the score boards with an easy 2.00 k/d. Use of specific tactics for specific suits can go a long way |

Use of specific tactics for specific suits can go a long way Your leveled up skills don't magically go back to 1 when you start using militia gear so you still have an advantage over new players. I'm not underestimating personal skill, I know it's possible for someone that's good at the game to outplay others regardless of of leveled skills and equipment; doesn't change the fact that vets do have an advantage over new players simply because their leveled skills are better and they have access to better equipment. I'm not complaining about the facts. Playing on an unequal level is just how the game goes for new players. Personally I find it to be a good thing because it forces you to play better if you don't want to get slaughtered. Oh I know vets have an advantage but I was just saying that even usuing militia you can do good. Yes you need to skill up to do very good but when you start you are just throwing marshmellows at the enemy |

But ARs and skills game guns about twice they pwer they are today
BRING BACK MY BREACH AR CCP. Haters The game back then was too hard for PVE players. lol no joke, the first build was awesome. I seriously, and no hate to the AR, but feel this is more of an AR game now. Hell I even skilled into AR after going proto LR, because the AR can be used at the same range as my LR AND up close. Kills basically just as fast as well. I'd like to see them restructure the AR's because currently there isn't enough difference between the AR types. Between militia and Proto theres what? 5 damage difference? pffff. I was using exile for the longest time. I updates to the gek and believe me there is a HUGE difference between those levels at least |
