Then i accessed the depo which showed me my fittings, i tried a few different fittings but they would not equip, each time i remained without guns and equipment.

I also could bring up the vehicle menu with dpad right, i selected to bring in the free fit LAV. However, on selecting it, nothing happened, no request was made.

That's about all i managed to test.. i also tried suiciding a few times from the Neocom to respawn and each time i was black screened again.

I have not had this problem previously, nor have i got this problem on other games or media on the ps3. This is soley down to Dust 514, due to the patch today.

This is what you posted today reguarding the patch:

"Dear players,

Today DUST 514 will go offline for an extended period of time starting from 11:00 GMT. Server is expected to come back up at 12:30 GMT. Today's hotfix will eliminate the bug that caused some players to disconnect after selecting their fitting in battle.

Thank you for your patience and understanding."

It sounds to me like you actually introduced the bug while trying to fix the fittings problem.

EDIT: Also, my PS3 is the original 60GB model with the various sdcard ports etc.. on the front. I'm also using HDMI as a connection with a Samsung UE26EH4000 26in HD Ready TV

You load into the match, select your suit and when you spawn you get a black screen. If you hit start you can bring up the map. You can set squad orders from the map but as soon as you exit you get black screen again. Chat still works. Committing suicide doesn't fix it. The only fix we have found is a PS3 reset. This happened to me first as a squad leader, again to the squad leader after me in the next game, and then twice more in further games to people who weren't squad leaders. The player with the black screen appears on the field to all other players with no weapon and hands by their side. The player can be killed by others but is unable to move at all. Hope this info helps. edit i didn't see anyone move so assumed they couldn't. I didn't test it though.

Additions to this report, it is not mode specific. I have had it occur in all 3 modes today, all day. Restarting my PS3 seems to help temporarily. It returns to it later. However, it is not permanent once it occurs. I played one match with the black screen, then another match directly after with it perfectly fine. As a squad leader, you can still make squad orders from the map and you do receive commission points. Getting killed appears to count toward your deaths and clones, it does not, however, use up a fitting (so don't worry too much if this is happening to you. You don't lose your ISK) I think that's all the extra I've noticed so far.

Ive not had this issue with any other games. Its not my hardware.

Able to get out of the map by pressing down arrow for map and then exiting the battle. If i do get into the map it wont give me any gun and inability to refit to get a gun. So game is unplayable for me atm with this happening 2/3 matches. I can show you a video of this bug if needed

I could move around and hear the battle and squad chat. I reset the game and everything worked as well as normal for several matches. When it happened another squad member had the same experience but the other two were fine.

Screen went black and then TV said no signal input.

It is a different issue to the majority of posts in this thread, but noob45, your right.. you have the same issue as the OP. It's all of us who assumed this was about the black screen when loading into a map who are in the wrong.. we've all jumped in here and changed the actual problem. So to clarify: (Problem 1): there's 2 posters in here complaining about a loss of TV signal when 'launching the Dust 514 game', those posters being the OP and noob45. To you two, i appologise for having jumped on the bandwagon and commented on a similar but unrelated issue. (Problem 2): The majority of posts in this thread are about the blackscreen which happens when 'spawning in a 'battle' Which seems related to the patch we received on 15/03/2013, and has been detailed by many of us in here. Admins if you need more details, please recheck post #31 on Page 2 of this thread for as much information as i could collate on this. Post #33 also on page 2 adds further information, and Post #12 and Post #47 both mention they have recorded footage if required.

Actually the original poster did say loss of TV signal. You are right that these are 2 different black screen problems, but they may also be the same kind of problem. The op described a black screen with "no signal" on the TV, and everyone else is describing a normal black screen. Svandy Roozy wrote: So Dust 514 was working fine for a few days. If you get into a any type of vehicle you'll be able to get your screen back, however you won't be able to use your weapon.

He tried to spawn in as his raven assault suit again and again had the black screen. He was able to press start and the start menu appeared again and suicided his character. He then spawned in as a HEAVY suit and again had a black screen. He is restarting the game now and we shall continue to test from here.

I only asking this because i recently re-installed Dust 514 trying to fix the "No Stats" bug, and i haven't have this problem in 4 hours of solid play. Maybe some one could try re-installing, and see what happens ?
