So Dust 514 was working fine for a few days. Today I go to start the game up, and my tv loses signal from my PS3 and never gets it back. When I am in my PS home menu, everything works just fine, but when I start D514, I get the black screen of death.
For a little bit of background, my PS3 is quite old and I have been getting random flicker and cut outs. I switched to a new HDMI cable which seems to have reduced that significantly. When I would start up D514 the last two days I would lose signal for one moment, then it would return and the game would run great. Now the signal just doesn't return.
Is this a problem with Dust or my PS3? |

Do you experience this problem with any other game? Or with any other HDMI equipment attached to your TV? If so, then I would guess it's a problem with your hardware.
If it's only a DUST problem, do you see any of the game at all? Do you get past the MOVE warning screens?
If you do not see the startup videos, try logging out from PSN before starting the game. When you then start the game, do you get asked to sign in again? (The problem is unrelated to PSN, this test just helps me understand better if the program gets stuck somewhere really early)
Finally, what resolution is your TV using?

Me and two friends started playing today after the patch, one of them for the first time.
He got into game just fine, but me and the other friend both got black screens. The map and chat still work but everything else is just black and I can't fire my weapon or do anything. My friends can see me in game and my character walks like we do in the captains quarters without a weapon or any gear.
Me and the other friend then restarted our PS3s, it fixed his black screen issue, but not mine. |

Same here. Everything was fine in MQ and the warbarge then spawned onto map (Ambush) and everything went black. Could hear the shooting and got killed, revived, killed again without seeing a thing and then the overview map appeared that you spawn from after death. Chose to respawn and the moment I did the screen went black again.
1st 3 games of Ambush I played were normal. |

I have noticed in several games players spawning onto the map and just standing there with no gun in hand in a position of attention the way we look on the warbarge etc. |

Same here just had it happen to some poor guy and he just ran round like a headless unarmed chicken then in the next battle its happened to two different players. They dont seem to be able to see where they are going but can be killed can also be revived and repaired but nothing else. |

Same here, me and Nosteratou got the black screen spawning with our proto suits right on the first game, happened to Selrache 7 games later |

Ditto here, I did wait to see what would happen, I had a squad of three and 2 of us managed to finally get a game screen and spawn to game but, we had no weapons and even changing at a supply depot you were still left without a weapon.
Trying a hard reset now to see how many games I get before this happens again, I managed 5 before this first appeared today.

Out of curiosity what suit types were you using I have seen 5 players with this bug now and coincidentally all 5 were assault so either when this bug happens you spawn in the default assault suit (from warbarge and merc quarters if you have no favourite set.) Or it only happens to assaulters.

6 games as normal but in 5 others got the black screen on all 4 maps and 'only' when you actually deploy onto the battlefield. Especially annoying when it is right next to a red and you hear them kill you before you force a quit out of dust. |

Ok its not just happening to assaulters I have spoken to a scout with the same difficulties but everyone who I have seen has been walking like they were in the warbarge/merc quarters and wearing an assault suit.
I know if you have no favourite suit set you wander warbarge/MQ as an assault guy so to people this has happened to have you got a favourite suit set?

Got in a match ,spawned and the screen went all black. I could still hear gunshots but there was nothing I could do. I restarted the game and this bug didn't occur in the next 3-4 matches. first time happening right after the patch. |

Same here - 1st game of the day after the update.
Black screen in game, sound ok, can fire weapon, squad mates see me moving on the map.
Can access menus, screen comes up. Goes black again on exit.
On death, death animation comes up on screen.
Respawned with starter fit, screen ok but no weapons - empty hands!
Never seen this before today. |

same issue as above... spawn in black screen w/ charecter control and access to ps menu. Has happened a couple game in a row for me.
*edit* issue has happened to 2 of my corp mates each being affected multiple times now. This issue is apperantly widespread and a common problem. |

same, happened to my whole squad in the beginning of a game, think it also happened to other teammates.
When i smashed some buttons i suddenly got my view back, i had no weapons and my suit had like 190 shields and 140 armor while none of my fits have that. |

Suit makes no difference as it just happened on my Logi. And I have seen scouts zombified. |

@A'Real Thanks for that I had already confirmed scouts had this issue as well thanks for confirm on logi's as well do you have a favourite fitting set?
I ask because everyone who I have seen with this glitch is running around like they are in warbarge except faster and all have been in assault fittings, Which I know you get defaulted assault if you dont have a favourite set so I am wondering if that could be linked.
Edit - re-read your post you have seen scouts zombified? Do you mean you have seen scouts running wild and free as well or people who should be scouts, I mean were they wearing scout suits while bambi'ing the place up? |

Update most quit but atleast 8 on my team maybe 10 but they were in MCC quit before I spawned there so potentially 10 out of 16 in one battle map is well not sure what its called but scoreboard says Luminaire. Luminaire VII (caldari prime.) |

Same here...played 4 games of OMS and then loaded a game to black screen. Not a hardware issue because I can still "quit game" "turn off system" etc. PS button works.
I still can talk and hear everything. Even sounds like I git killed and was bleeding...just could see...not sure if I could shoot. |

This is happening to me and my corps mate as well. It seems to be completely random and just happens to all of us, a few of us, or even just 1 of us. Please roll-back that hot-fix my game never crashed before then when changing fits or selecting suits. |

happens as soon as you spawn for the first time into battle. The screen is black and there is no sound for shooting or anything. If you press start, you can enter the map and your neocom. |

Had the black screen happen to me. Voice chat worked fine, but no NeoCom or text windows. PSN button worked as it should, brought up the menus but Dust was black. Also audio seemed to be unaffected. When the game started the overhead map was visible, but when I selected a drop suit, that is when the screen went black. My squad mate reported I was walking around with no gear |
