Nice picture, it's missing the pod goo everywhere though. However, remember that CCP has yet to make any real money off of Dust. When it comes down to it, they're going to be very, very careful how they go about making this affect EVE. |

Um... I don't think that was supposed to be a pilot's capsule, just the core where maintenance crew usually hangs out fixing stuff.

Yeah, this would be awesome... Imagine fighting aboard an abandoned Terran Titan and recovering invaluable technology for your corporation! I seriously dread they'd implement it someday. |

Well, terrans didn't have titans, but the early colonists had some big ships. If they did a map for a titan they'd have to limit it. The smallest titan is 14km in length. Biggest comes in at 18km. That's the current ones. The predecessors in lore are bigger then that. The one the amarr has that was built for Emperor Heidaran is the biggest ship in existence still. They stripped a nice vacationy planet bare to the bones and made it over a two decade period. Going through a ship that size could take days or even weeks. |

Fun fact: Lore wise if you kill a capsuleer outside of their pod they can't download to a new clone.
That said, no, you'll never be able to board player ships and take them over from the inside. Think about the idea for a little while and realize how broken it would be for the capsuleers and how boring it would be for you. |

You do realize that titans have extreme amounts of built in defenses? I mean a walk though the hanger bay has probably got to be the deadliest march you can imagine.
I mean currently the titan and dreadnoughts are the current Warbarges in function when conducting planetary operations.
They have entire tank divisions and armies in their holds hangers large enough to fit a carrier physically inside of it. Additionally they have over 145,000 people just manning the ship alone and they're all highly trained crew folk.
The ship can self destruct much faster than it takes to queue a team in and when compromised and don't bother hacking, if a rogue drone can't hack a capsuleer what make you think you could?
Also economics are concerned, if I wanted a titan dead its extremly more cost efficient to blow it to smitherines. |

Fun fact, that clone tech is years old and no longer used. New scan stuff can make a slow backup when unplugging from a pod. Also fun fact, Eggers are also upgrading to sleeper grade clones now to start interfacing with Tech 3 ships. |

There is much insight to this. Also, hostile stations to disrupt enemy infrastructure, if you can smuggle the clones in. |

Cool but way down the line. Or even impossible for player-owned ships. Would probably work better for stations once they become actual social areas. Then dusters could be a way to shut down the station temporarily and assassinate capsuleers hanging around.
How cool would it be to have two dusters teams facing each other and capsuleers running around searching for cover |

The big issue is that you'd be forcing Eve players into a situation where they literally have no ability to defend themselves and their losses are exorbitantly larger than anything you will ever lose.
Your prototype suit and a full load gear might cost a couple of hundred thousand isk but that ship that you're wanting to board and kill the pilot of is worth billions, not to mention takes an entire corporation worth of players all working together to gather materials for a project that takes literally weeks.
You can't just say, "Screw Eve players" because you're ******* with their investment and when you literally force them to buy a $250 peripheral and invest their own time and effort into actually trying to defend themselves on another console - that's entirely ******. It's the same as allowing Eve players FREELY (without requesting it first after gaining enough war points) fire down on the planet you're on without any way of firing back.
So, yeah, I'd be game for it if I don't have to wait for someone to request an orbital strike and you can't fire back. Past that, you're just asking for a way to grief Eve players who's combined losses would be thousands of times what you would ever lose. |

I like the overall idea of fighting in some abondoned (NPC) terran facilities like spacestations or wrecks of old ships. There could be some pretty dangerous drones in there as guard and the fight could be for rare salvage. I think this could make good PVE missions. |

You do realize we are mercs? That means that just like someone can hire mercs to board and take over a Titan, the Titan owner can hire mercs to defend it.

Okay, so a pre-determined match in which I could hire mercenaries...
Why the hell would I do that, exactly? Why not just repackage the ship or put in a corporate hanger where you can't access it? Better yet, why not just sell it to someone else or at the very least -GIVE- them the ship? Hell, why not give it to one of your friends so you're basically killing him instead? Why not just eject from the ship and leave it hanging out in space where I could just have my fleet destroy it if you're so hell-bent on taking it?
There's a thousand different variables you're not taking into account. Either way it all adds up to the fact that you're going to be directly influencing me into something that I barely have any control over and absolutely no way to perform direct intervention. Sure, I could hire some mercs but then I'm just risking them taking my ISK and disregarding the match entirely. Then I'm really in a situation because not only have I been scammed, I've got no-one to guard my ship and no way of preventing you from taking it.
Just saying you want to/can do something is ridiculous. Why should you be allowed to directly affect something I've worked years for when the only option for prevention/intervention is hiring some nobodies who may or may not be able to defeat you? |

According to Templar One, Terrans, when they came through the wormhole, were more advanced than capsuleers are even now. They certainly had more superior weapons, which Empress Sarum used to annihilate the Minmatar invasion. That's why I believe they had Titans and maybe even more. On the Titan length's note, here could be the solution: break the derelict ships down into sections, just like planets are broken down into districts: Hangar Bay, Core, Command Bridge, etc.
P.S. Moreover, if by early colonists you mean people who stayed here right after the EVE Gate collapsed, then those didn't really have anything. They were plunged into the Dark Ages and had to relearn and rebuild everything from scratch. |

lolno Bad for both gameplay and the always present lag issue. Trying to host an FPS battle inside a ship that's part of a fleet battle in EVE. And synchronizing all that network data? Not on your life. EVE doesn't need more lag from bad gameplay ideas. |

Seeing how Titans have the best trained crew available, and have about 70,000 - 145,000 (Sauce) of them on board, together with automated defense systems, I don't think this is a feasible undertaking. |
