You do realize that titans have extreme amounts of built in defenses? I mean a walk though the hanger bay has probably got to be the deadliest march you can imagine.
I mean currently the titan and dreadnoughts are the current Warbarges in function when conducting planetary operations.
They have entire tank divisions and armies in their holds hangers large enough to fit a carrier physically inside of it. Additionally they have over 145,000 people just manning the ship alone and they're all highly trained crew folk.
The ship can self destruct much faster than it takes to queue a team in and when compromised and don't bother hacking, if a rogue drone can't hack a capsuleer what make you think you could?
Also economics are concerned, if I wanted a titan dead its extremly more cost efficient to blow it to smitherines. |

That said, no, you'll never be able to board player ships and take them over from the inside. Think about the idea for a little while and realize how broken it would be for the capsuleers and how boring it would be for you.
Fun fact, that clone tech is years old and no longer used. New scan stuff can make a slow backup when unplugging from a pod. Also fun fact, Eggers are also upgrading to sleeper grade clones now to start interfacing with Tech 3 ships. |

Stations I can see being an economical choice in using dust mercenaries instead of laying siege on the damn thing for a week. |

The jovians fell apart twice already. I've still got money that one day we'll be able to go to Jove Space and run level 10 missions and level 20 complexes.
I actually have a counter argument to this.... let me go find it.

Especially in the 5 minutes of firing on a titan from both hostile and friendly fleets and the pilot decides to turn off tanking.
We're getting much closer to instagibbing a titan, we got pretty close at 1 minutes time because the idiot fit cargo expanders and miners to his. |

Also effort costs of taking a cap ship with mercs vs the reward/failure isnt even.
also this here is a to scale titan in a fps game
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPeb547pis0
A station take over is just as big, they're not capsuleer controlled, have plenty of roaming room inside them for full scale army conflicts interanlly. Can host multiple matches without 'dissappearing' all of a sudden. A station cannot troll, cannot bait, cannot self destruct. Drastically lowers the chances of getting scammed out if you accept that contract. Is not effected by time dilation mechanics and not a thrown match caused by the pilot him/herself
And it takes about a week or two of seige a station to take it over form space.
I file ship boarding an eve ship near equivalently a just as bad of an idea as manned space fighters trying to kill eve pilots.
Boarding an MCC to destroy it I can see doable provided the rest of the interior is designed proper. |
