I'm trying to figure out how calling someone a monkey is racism. Wouldn't that be speciesism? :p

I realize the emote indicates both the first and second sentence are rhetorical in nature, but I'll chime in just 'cause. Monkey is not an inherently racist slur. With certain prefixes attached it can be, but to infer that it's racist in the context used says more about the offended than the supposed "offender."

It's 2013 calling somebody a monkey can be implied racism. Not only is it racist to call somebody a monkey it's also in poor taste to call somebody a monkey. I joke about my ban from time to time, but in this instance i'm using it as a teachable to help a wayward member of our community that seems to pop in in ex-MAG players threads.

I was banned for posting something tasteless, and the community reacted and read way too far into the situation. I'm simply using my experience to help somebody else from getting banned off of the game.

Now rather than following me into my threads you should focus on getting better at the game, because running around as a heavy with an AR and still going negative is just hilarious.

Morale of the story watch what you say to people, because you never know how people might respond.

His response confused me as well as you were clearly trying to defend the notion that "monkey" is racially charged. Your illustration, however, was addressed by my mentioning prefixes having the potential to making it racist. I take it that's why you emoted, as it wasn't meant as an entirely serious defense?

Past careing the games a chore to play and when released others will see this, spawn problem has been getting fixed since day one but still remains the same.

A major issue thats still not sorted, yes use uplinks and get camped, better off going for random spawn at least thers a 20% chance you may actually spawn safe before turning around and getting killed by the blob of red

It will really say something about how out of touch CCP is with FPS gamers.

Update: Possibly casued by shorter combat range on maps. More testing planned on optimizing spawn points to counter this.

At least Black Ops is good at being a generic arcade shooter. Dust can't even pull that off right.
