This is the amount I have earned with no boosters except the passive.
I still have games of about 230 so so maybe could squeeze out another few thousand Sp who knows
First day saw huge 25-30,000 match payouts ever since been under 5,000 and quickly to under 1,000
Never saw what I could perceive as a daily cap feels more weekly still.
Anyone track their sP with the booster this week? To see if it is a hard cap or a soft cap which would allow 1.5% more total SP.

there is no such thing as a daily cap. Nice to see that you realised it after everybody else. |

@dark cloud thank you for your comment you are so right. Even though commander Wang has said many time that we have indeed gone to a daily cap.
My post is to puts some facts to this, but thank you so much for your help. |

Just to clarify, you aren't using a booster, and need to know how much someone WITH a booster gets, right? |

I've been running with no active booster for two weeks now, prior to this I used two 30 day active boosters and I am also making around 450k without the active booster compaired to 550k a week with active boosters. So in effect I get about 100k less a week with no active booster. |

I finally got a booster starting this week, and yeah I'm at about 550k or so (maybe a little more) including the passive that's accrued throughout the week. I don't have specifics, but it's definitely more than the 465k. I'm down to getting about 300 base SP from an average game too. |

Interesting so without booster say 460,000 with active booster 550,000 only 100,000 sp extra not the 1.5. That makes some sense since the passive sp would not count. which is approximitely 120,000 for five days.
So if you get 80% of your Sp the first day there is no reason to have a booster on for more than a day.
And actually the passive booster for 7 days will give you approx 100,000 sp
So with active booster and standard passive, plus passive 1.5 gain booster.
The Max total a merc could get is approximetly 700,000 to 750,000 Sp per week.
Without approximately 500,000 |

I've been wondering about with out boosters, because I notice my sp comes to a slow halt after about 400k.
That actually makes sense. It's better to have a single day boosters rather then monthly or weekly if that is the case. |

CCP needs to change the SP system to a daily limit that transfers excess SP up to a maximum daily limit.
Let's say the daily limit you can earn in a day is set at 100k SP. But the maximum daily limit is set at 500k SP.
So if each day you get 100k, it's simple enough. But if you'd only get 50k most days of the week, by weekend your daily SP available would actually be 350k, so you could use those days to go all out on your gaming session.
Effectively, each player would have a personal SP pool. Heavy daily players would be limited and casual players with more time for the weekends could use that time to get the SP they didn't get during the week. And because it would cap, no one would gain an obvious advantage. |

Rolling universal SP cap is the best solution. Around 3 or 4x passive. Active boosters can give additional SP, over and above the cap.
There. 3 sentences. S P troubles fixed.
Can we get behind this simple plan? Or does someone see a problem with this idea? |

Simple solution. New players can grind up and every one can go at their own pace. Everyday or just weekends.
Seems like it would be the easiest to code as well but who knows. |

I love how all these threads have to have at least 6-10 posts about CCP lying to us. You ever figure that they expect things to work the way they tried to set them up, and things just go wrong? |

I love how there are always posts with nothing useful to add, when someone presents the most obvious and "fair" way to solve something most of the community is discontent with. |

A rolling sp cap HAS to be implemented otherwise new people will NOT play...they need the "chance " to catch up..ccp is trying to make the gear mean less and less which is good for new people but offers nothing to really advance to...hardcore players need goals to work towards...makes it feel good to get that proto gear...right now it is basically eh'. Things will change when the competition is raised due to district and planet control. Still so many things to add on. But yeah boosters and SP really aren't needed that much because SP has much less meaning. |

Booster here, booster there... ;) One day is the best, no 3-days...
Hmmm... But maybe you miss one thing.
You can jump over cap.
Not much but always ;) When? When you reach 0 sp from battle (full lenght, most wp). I do soemtimes this in 4-5 days. Rest days left and passive sp gain go over cap.
So.. you will use boosters or no? |

Where my sp??? This is bad sp system. And i dont now why i play other days??? i may play 1 day in the week and all, grab sp, and other days in the week i may play other games. May be drop 500-700k sp every player in the week an all? Why i need booster? whay i need play and fight? this is boooooring!

The simple answer to this problem is to have a floating Hard SP cap that increases each week so the game has a set SP pace.
Every one who gets in the game can grind till they hit the Hard SP cap, giving the new players an incentive to catch up, while allowing the hard core gamers to even take a week off here and there and grind back to the hard SP cap.
I think this would be an easy way to solve this crazy problem. I don't see to many drawbacks. The game can stay on your 7-10 year SP pace to Max skills, while allowing a carrot for new players that if they do well a chance to catch up.
At the current system you miss a week of SP you can never get it back separating the have from the have nots even more.
Here is. The thread on it.

It means the cap rises every few seconds. If it was set around 3-4x the passive gain, you could get around 1000 SP a game. Basically, it means if you don't play for 30 minutes, there'll be 30 mins worth of SP to gain. New players could join, and they'll have 6 months grinding to do. But if they play lots, they can catch the people who are constantly at the cap (which increases every second).
Think of a rolling cap as a pool of experience, that will constantly grow, but has the same amount available for every player. |

Yes it means if 400k is a cap for one week if u miss that week your new cap is 800 k. The cap is constantly increasing, it is a cumulative effect. |

Also, it's real time. So it's rising every minute. That's why you'd be able to earn around 1000 SP per game. (important from a psychological point). |

Yeah I suppose that is true. But playing shouldn't be about sp but it is a big motivating factor. Once we get districts and such there will be much more to play for. |
