Could the new militia Forge Gun mean the death of all vehicles when combined with the BPO Heavy suit, especiallyif it gets a BPO of its own?
Or would it just make it easier to try out without spending huge sums of SP?
What will happen? |

I'm asking about what might happen with the ability for anyone near a supply depot to pull out a free forge gun fit like they do with swarms today.
Right now forge gunners are fairly rare. In the future hat may change dramatically. Even if the militia version is weak, it may make finding the guy running proto more difficult. I'm not saying what will happen, I'm asking. |

I like that forge guns are rare, and I'm not looking forward to a flood of forge guns. Hopefully the militia one is pretty terrible. |

I welcome the extra help as tanks will soon be harder to kill. Although, i'm guessing that unless they already do a lot of av work and have sp put into heavy sharpshooting and forgegun, they will just end up as cannon fodder. Atleast, it will be cheapish cannon fodder and they can experiment with it. |

I took reduced activation time as the a reduced cooldown and active duration as the time its actually on. Maybe it was more than one person writing the notes so they didn't use the same wording and i'm just thinking about it all wrong. |

Saw this coming from a mile away with the Plasma Cannon addition but - seriously a militia forge gun? I find joy in the incoming threadnaughts about how it should be removed xD
However, to be completely serious, I think the ISK reward increases will show us a new boost in the amount of tankers we see on a daily basis. We'll have to wait and see. |

Either means that they fine-tuned it to work whenever you trigger it or they reduced the time between the pulses. |

I think it'll be interesting for the first few days then die down, people will experiment then stop after getting killed alot, forge guns are cool but more often than not you'll get gunned down before you can accurately hit a player with one. Splash does a fair deal of damage but unless you hit dead on you won't kill anyone in 1 hit along with the fact they have no zoom to them making distant objects even harder to hit, just keep vehicles away from them, send in the infantry first then you'll be all good. |

Militia ARs and SMGs also have smaller magazines than the Standard versions. With Swarm Launchers, there's a solid precedent to do the same to Forge Guns. Also, they could have even longer charge times.
And that's without mentioning that you can only get a "free" Swarm fitting using the Starter Fit, there's no Militia Swarm Launcher blueprint. It's possible Forge Guns won't have a blueprint version either. |

We have milita swarms which are annoying because all swarms are broken against HAVs and are godlike no matter what lvl they are
So anyone can pull out milita swarm as it is and do enough to annoy you and run reppers
Now the same has happened to the forge gun which im not suprised tbh
Either way its means that ppl now have a choice of what AV to use and possibly dont even have to skill it up if they dont want even tho they only have to skill up to assault forge to take on a tank anyways
We will see and yes all supply depots must die straight away |

I'm in somewhat of agreement here, militia just means there's no need to roll forge as everyone can join together to take out a tank.

Or it is active for a shorter time duration due to having fewer pulses. This could be a buff OR a nerf. Too vague to say. |

I'll have to disagree there on malitia AV gear I've seen tanks steamroll so many AV infantry, had a guy go 28/1 in a freaking Soma his tanking skills were just insane and he knew when to retreat, he'd kill you in 2 seconds flat and used cover well to avoid swarms for the most art unless you got too close to him at which point you'd already be dead from his blaster. Tanks are bloody hard to kill unless the entire or majority of the team is hunting the 1 tank, avoiding infantry, LAV's trying to run us over and the tank's guns themselves against a really strong tank build malitia gear deals so very little damage unless once again in large groups, in which case if you're trying to take them all alone you're an idiot, call in the reinforcements

They still look like they're all Assaults to me.
If they plan to keep it that way, we're probably NOT getting a free Forge. They might not even give us a blueprint version - they haven't got one for Swarm Launchers.
So it probably won't be "free" even if you're throwing money at CCP to try and get one. |
