CCP nothin said it had a moderate amount of splash, too, so you might be able to kill infantry with it as well.

It'll be interesting to see how well this baby performs. I'm also really hoping this can be used to kill infantry, like say one-shotting a heavy with a direct shot to the face.

Who knows, with the next build some of the hotfix balancing may be removed to have an idea about how to rebalance the system again. And then again. With each build the refinement process is more complete and as the whole begins to appear with the placement of each new segment the foundation for a smooth game is solidified. YOu don't want everything to be OP or UP right up until the last build before launch and then try and balance it all at once, and you don't want to constantly balance every new thing as soon as it comes out and before any of its counters are in, because then you end up with Starhawk.

I kill infantry with forge quite often (3m splash ftw) so if plasma canon has more splash....even better

The plasma cannon should be the same damage type but shorter range. EM anti-vehicle will have to wait for the amarr. I guess the plasma will be an anti-tank light or heavy with less range but more damage then forge. I am hoping for an anti-tank shotgun for ambush attacks in close quarters. The cut and paste of swarm description and shoulder firing style make it seem like it may be a light weapon though, a gallente swarm in the way a laser rifle is a amarr ar.
