32 players in a match, and I counted 17 of them. Seriously. Something needs to be done. Not fun getting killed by an AR. CCP, please nerf them. They take no skill. It's point and click. You aim at somebody and shoot. How is skill involved?
Also, please nerf everything else whiners complain about. Thank you. |

Nope. I shouldn't have to change how I play, or think outside of the box. I should be able to complain, and CCP should nerf it. AR's are ruining this game (my game), so it needs to be nerfed. |

Well at least your not smart enough to place this in "Feedback/Requests" and kept it in General Discussion :p I like my AR ;) But to be honest, I get killed by shotguns alot... dropships and tanks get me.. and those darn HMG when i turn the wrong corner. So honestly the game is balanced... do remember this game is going to take teams of mercs.. all working TOGETHER to win the match. If your not in a corp working as a team you fail.
If anything we need more WP for things other then kills. I feel bad for say the laser guy that helps melt shields but doesnt get a kill.. or the Forge gunner that takes out tanks and dropships but only get 300wp in a match and goes 2/10 because of his efforts. |

Assault rifles are the most widely used weapon the world over for a good reason. Because they are accurate and deadly. AR's don't need a nerf, you just need to get better. Use cover more wisely and pick your fights better, stop running through open ground and expecting not to get shot. |

Im usually sympathetic to people complaints but i cant agree on this one. In dust it takes like a clip and a half to put someone down in a row. If there is the slightest of breaks even to reload your assault rifle, your opponents shields regenerate to 100 percent. Im all for recoil for guns and used to shooting in burst from playing fps`s for years but you cant have recoil on a weapon that needs to be used like a laser to kill.
Also all the starter kits seem to be assault kits if your starter fits are like mine. Maybe you see a lot of AR kills because starter kits usually contain a assault rifle except the anti armor & sniper.
So my question ,what are you doing or firing with that couldn't break to cover in a fire fight between being shot 30 times in a row? |

Surprised people are taking it seriously. Good times. Anyone who's actually struggling against ARs, use ANY other gun at your weapon's preferred range. Long-range sniping outmatches ARs. Short-range Shotguns and SMGs horribly outmatch ARs. |

I agree for all except your SMG comment. militia SMG looses to militia AR at any range, Proto SMG looses to Proto AR at any range. Same level close quarters weapons should top same level all range weapons when in optimal range. |

The sarcasm is heavy and pretty funny in the OP and the fishing after... Still though I think it would be wrong to assume this even if it seems that way sometimes. It's usually just the loudest crybabies that figure *the game* means *their game*. We have seen it with tanks, dropships, snipers, HMGs, missiles, and even a few serious whines on ARs.

I agree with OP, but I'd go even further. Almost all guns in this game are overpowered. If CCP really wanted this game to be about player skill and not play-to-win they'd get rid of this stupid "ranged weapon" business entirely. Swords are the only weapon that truely brings out player skill. Maybe there is a place for long range cannons or something, but they should take 2 or 3 minutes to reload so they don't become an "I win" button. Also, please please please can we get rid of those ridiculous "LAV" things and replace them with horses like they have in all the top tier games? |
