Not really. If the game mechanics allow it and CCP is not stopping you for it, then it's ok. It's been like this since the VERY FIRST BUILD which was many moons ago and everyone and their grandma was running mercs over with LAVs. CCP didn't say sh**. |

It's a low-skill method of getting kills. Disproportionately effective for the amount it demands of you in either ISK or skill. Not cheating, but it shouldn't be as effective as it is. |

You have to decide who the bigger scrub is. The guy playing Carmageddon514, or the fools who don't have AV nades/Swarmer.
A lack of AV is punishable by repeated crushing. |

It's funny when I do it but totally cheating when someone gets me...
But seriously the only thing I really dislike about it is that the LAVs seem to be almost silent and have no profile on radar (the built in one on the suit). The only chance to spot one is if a teammate happens to see it in his LOS and even then it disappears quickly due to its speed to get out of said LOS. Also when it is clear I can't jump out of the way (in Heavy suit) or too far away from cover and I happen to have AVs it really sucks that playing chicken with tossing them straight at the rammer always almost kills me as the grenades bounce back in my face. It was really funny the time it launched me off the entire terrain and into a low deteriorating orbit.
I look right, I look left. I go across and get a bumper up my rear that was attached to a silent engine made of stealth metal. Makes me sad. |

Yeah man totally, unless you're hiding amongst buildings/rocks at spawn you deserve to be killed, anyone dumb enough to move between objectives on foot or otherwise be on any piece of land a LAV can traverse deserves to be killed by a LAV. The problem isn't free LAVs instantly killing anyone they hit, the problem is these dumb nublar scrublords and their inability to play the game properly, right? |

For some reason, I was the first person in an ambush that ended up only having 2 players on each team (first 2v2 match ever on dust?)
I spawned an LAV, and my teammate got in the gunner seat. I was the only person to get any kills (got 3)- 2 of them were from running people over while my gunner repeatedly missed, while the last was (after my LAV got blown up, after we bailed since my gunner couldn't hit the guy with the swarm) killing a guy trying to sneak up on my oblivious ex-gunner. |

i love blowing up LAVs, but if the vehicle is too close the missiles will be dumb as hell and do something stupid. as for vehicles running down trying to get to another point one lock they all die.
assuming the missiles don't do anything stupid. |

I don't mind LAVs running people over.
I DO mind when I see them miss and the person still dies. Especially when the person was me.
As in literally watch the LAV shoot past about 2m from me, then freeze in place, screen fogs over with a red tint, and a message pops up (crushed).

Dafuc? how dose a car change the fact that you where killed before you could move. anything could do that.

The damage to the Dropsuit is based on the mass of the LAV. Large mass + high speed = splat. Damage to LAV should be calculated similarly, based on mass of Dropsuit you're hitting with it. Hit a Scout, and they're barely more than a speedbump. Hit a Heavy, and you'll be hurting too. And the faster you move, the more damage the LAV takes as well as the more it deals. |
