To everyone that rolls with the Heavy suit: your animals! With your thick ass armour and HMG's, I honestly can't kill you. I try to run everytime I see one,(range is my advantage over you!) But when there filling me up with bullets, I die real quick. Does anyone know how to get rid of em?? Post your heavy kills here! |

Like you said, just engage them from range. They can't do anything then. |

I've killed plenty of hevies this build. Both with militia AR and with S Missle launchers. These being my fav weapons, I have killed them with rail guns and RE's, nades and L blaster turrets, Sniper rifles and Laser rifles. They go down just as easy as a fitted Assult suit but you are correct in that you need distance to win. Those HMG's tear me apart. |

They're still pathetic compared to the golden days. They used to be gods. 4 immortals would struggle to bring these titans down. And much ISK was spent in their name. 4.0m splash Forgegun was so, so cool. |

It was nice when the Scout suit was able to close range and take them up close... I really miss that strafe speed allowing me to dance with the heavies. |

Fire a laser gun away from them for 4 seconds, fire at them for 1 second. Dead. The laser guns once charged up are very deadly. |

If I am using a militia AR and a heavy has something other than the basic setup in terms of armor/shields, I am nearly 100% unable to take them out. However if I am rolling with my GEK and 10% damage mod, they go down pretty quick, regardless of their setup.
But since the ISK payouts this build are so pathetic, I have to roll with the starter kits most of the time just so I can enjoy a few matches using mediocre 60k suits. So in most matches I am out gunned by pretty much everybody unless I get a major drop on them.
It probably wouldn't be so hard if it wasn't for all the lag. I find that if I am having a really smooth and lag free match, the game becomes a cakewalk and I effortlessly go on killing sprees. But that is incredibly rare, as most matches have lag spikes every few seconds and/or severe frame-rate issues. |

A small skill point investment in Mechanincs>>Armor Upgrades will get you at least an extra 65HP for low ISK. That extra HP beefs you up as an Assault and the movement penalty is negligible. Roll with a buddy and keep your distance . |

You did a pretty good job this morning mate.

Don't, seriously. I can take down HMG players no issue at all.
You're the only heavy i avoid and it's because of your build and the weapons you use. I'd do it myself if it was practical from a corp point of view, it would make an excellent troll build though. |

Tell me about it! I don't think I've killed him once. And that damn AR gives him the range too. Every time he kills me now I respawn at the furthest possible point on the map so I can avoid him, even if it's a poor tactical choice. Even then, more often than not, he still finds me... |

Some of them still are. I don't remember this guy's name but I felt like a chump having to run away from him when I saw him coming at me close quarters. His shield/armor was the thickest I have ever seen.
What I do with heavies, is shoot them from a distance or pop them from a flanked position. If its close quarters, you better strafe & hit all shots to the dome if you want to stand a chance. If they're a poor shot, then you have a good chance.
The thing that's amazing is that I hear some want to buff the turning speed on the heavies and keep the other suits strafe speed slow. And I'm thinking, its a heavy suit for a reason. You can't don on a total of 800hp armor and still want to turn like an assault guy. Everything has its tradeoffs |
