IS the AV grenade working as intended?
Currently, if the there are no vehicles around, it works as a land mine, waiting for the next vehicile to drive over it. |

doubt this is as intended (some people saying they stay even after death although ive not seen this myself).... they should explode or just fizzle away if nothing to blow up like in previous builds,,, this is a new to codex issue (in terms of them staying forever,, previously they would for a couple seconds)....
the proximity mines are obviously intended to function like this..... interestingly i saw devs were considering removing the prox mines (from an irc chat) but I wonder if this is mainly as a result of the issue you've pointed out with the grenades... they are littering the battlefield.. I play AV, and i feel bad for anyone in vehicles these days,,, its got really easy to blow them up (actually felt skillful causing damage in first half of last build)
In the meantime until they get round to sorting it....... BOMBS AWAY!!!! |

I thought they were going to be taken care of today after the hotfix was applied, but they're still working as a better proximity mines. I was driving an LAV and saw at least 10 av grenades laying on the ground waiting to home on any vehicle that move close by. I step out of LAV and had to walk the rest of the way, as there was no way to shoot them. Proximity mines are useless now, they're easier to spot and they don't home like AV grenades. |

this is just insane ive lost a tank because the enemy team decided to stockpile like 20 of them on the road. |

Currently there's no ETA on it, it's still being looked into, as apparently there's a few contributing factors to them acting this way, and they're seeing how they can go about fixing it. It may or may not require a patch, depending on if one of the contributing pieces requires a change in the code or not, which means it may persist for a while if it has to wait for a full patch.
To the OP: No, it's not working as intended. |

I disagree , the AV 'nades seem to be a little bit OP to me. I don't know how but they seem to have an unending stockpile of them; I hate to see my 320,000 ISK Madrugar get blown up by a prick with 1000 ISK basic AV 'nades they should be used against jeeps NOT tanks! !!!PLEASE FIX IT CCP!!! |

its a problem but its nothing to complain about imo because last build the AV Nades sucked balls and got nerfed/tweaked to were they wasn't any good . and the proxy mines should work as intended and not show were they are thrown out at on map either that is a problem in itself . as far as problems goes i say they need to be working on fixing the dropships and tweaking them to slow em down or least give us weblifiers or what ever it is they promised us to start with to combat them . and tanks are fine the way they are we don't need more tank breeders on field like last build to make them way overpowered as before . but now its the dropships thats the problem now . and now the swarm launchers suck against dropships and don't do any good even if you got lvl 2-4 swarmers still don't work good against them . they need fix those issues before all else if you ask me .
. but i see thats probably why its a "issue" for many the problem with that is in nerfing them you get 10 LAVs running around like hahaha can't touch me i got LAV that type of thing which is already a issue in game with too many ppl running to many LAVs and can't handle run and gun all the time . i know you need it from point A to B but far as shooting all the time is pointless prove you got balls and run and gun . |

I asked this before and this is as intended for the most part. The grenades are probably persisting a little too long compared to last build but they're supposed to still home in on a target for as long as they remain active. |
