It's ok it's beta, in fact during this weeks guest players as read in the sticky we should troll the hell out of them so CCP can't ignore the issue. GOGOGO OBs!

Well, assuming you wanted to troll them in game, knowing who they are and recognizing their names on the team list allows you to plan to do just that from the get go as opposed to having to figure it out in game (assuming you didn't already know). Or it lets you quit game because you don't want to play with boosters who will hang you out to dry with 2 to 1 odds in the field where you could actually use their help?

i dont boost , but i don't really care about OB there is always going to be a way to boost no matter what, but with all these OBs the game becomes more of a thinking game...

I disagree, I dont see how figuring out how to hide from OB spam so you dont run out of clones is more thoughtful than squad based tactical objective capturing.

EDIT: Before anyone asks why - I have posted up their names (and will be adding onto this list) for corporations to know who they are recruiting. If you don't want Boosters in your corporation, consider this is a way to knowing who they are.

Could add System Overload to the list too.

While I'm all for pointing out the worst offenders (those who do it exclusively to the detriment of their team mates) this shouldn't be a witch hunt where anyone and everyone who so muchs as dings their own LAV gets labeled. It is still a beta. However, find an exploit, report it, move on, don't sit in the corner abusing it all day every day. Not saying you have System, rather this post is in part defensive of you to a certain degree.

Thats what I'm trying to say. Whose to say they arnt doing it to show CCP how broken the mechanic is?

I know those guys, but I don't play with them regularly. It's a shame I didn't know they were doing that, I will talk to them, Aeon Amadi.

Its boosting there's no need for an intervention, they aren't crackheads.

The problem is not some much the boosting, but the OS spam that comes with it. If someone is boosting on their own in a corner somewhere is one thing, but to do it and be rewarded w/ something that changes the outcome of a match is different.

It's also important to note that the OBs will not always be in our hands, if I am interpreting CCP correctly. Down the line, OBs will be called in by Dusters who are communicating to the EvE corp who contracted them. They will be launched from ships in orbit over the planet. The real question in that event is how many orbitals can those ships launch, how frequently, and can more than one ship launch them at a time?

Indeed. They did test the OB dust/eve interaction on Buckingham recently. So, my guess is that will be coming in sooner than later. I do believe Orbitals will be far more rare when that happens. Right now the orbitals are annoying so people QQ about it. That should be the least of their concerns though and it will be when all of these boosters are running protogear nonstop and spamming high end vehicles.

agreed system, its anoying now but it will be downright game breaking later on when these players are non stop proto spaming and tanked marauders spamming all game every game.

Agreed. It's extremely obvious to see who is abusing it and who is not. Yet this numbnuts chose to call me out. I've got plenty of opinions on the topic with various points and counter-points but it's just not worth debating. I don't even really need to defend my actions, most people know what i'm about. It's just ridiculous that with the hours I put in and play legitimately and fairly, a guy I've never heard of before picks me out of the herd to point a finger at. There are far worse criminals than I to be worried about.

It's amusing to me that yesterday was the first time i spent any considerable amount of time on this and yet I've already earned a spot on this list. I was already capped beforehand and wasn't gaining any advantage. Check my rankings on the leaderboards and compare my stats to any of the actual boosters and you'll see a huge difference between someone that actually plays and someone that doesn't.

For the record though, those that have played with me know I do play the game 90% of the time. Unfortunately, I now hit the new SP cap very quickly from actual gameplay, so yes, you may see me goofing off in various ways boosting, bug hunting, exploring the map, etc.. If a game consists of an entire team of mentally challenged blue dots without mics, yep, i'll probably wander off and screw around to save myself the frustration.

I don't particularly care a for ignorant people, so throw your judgements around recklessly if you wish. I'll just and . Next time you see me doing something unusual, send me a game mail and ask what i'm up to. Join me, even. Find out why i'm actually doing it before passing your ill-informed judgement.

i'm guessing people who are trying the beta in Russia and end up in games with half the team farming in the red zone must be thriiiiiiilled about the game....

I just had a game where oliver oakes and jack the r1pper were boosting. I got my lav and ruined their set up. instead of going out and shooting red dots, jack the r1pper got in his lav and started team killing our entire team. here is my list so far

Arent there boosters in most fps games? 2 or more characters in a corner playing with each other ! dude we are here to test this this to its limits. Even the corner huggers need love, just like the tankers needed love last build. we see them ccp sees them..... The SP cap thats what we should be talking about, i just dont like it get rid of it please... slows ppl down when they have the time to spend here. I dont wanna be in a match for 934sp just not fun thats all..Fun and Entertainment is what we have ps3s for yes or no?

the last game I played today your corps had 8 ppl in lobby 3 I sall that were boosting in the end the top 3 guy were all above 7500 wp and 1 was 9400 with 0kills and 0 deaths the only 1 in that group had kills

anyone who's played MAG knows this is an easy fix. If CCP choose to let it play this way, fine by me.

This is why posts like these are not really useful. They cause more hate/trolls/arguments then solve anything meaningful.
