lol. Sure, add me to this list. I don't mind the notoriety! It's amusing to me that yesterday was the first time i spent any considerable amount of time on this and yet I've already earned a spot on this list. I was already capped beforehand and wasn't gaining any advantage. Check my rankings on the leaderboards and compare my stats to any of the actual boosters and you'll see a huge difference between someone that actually plays and someone that doesn't.
For the record though, those that have played with me know I do play the game 90% of the time. Unfortunately, I now hit the new SP cap very quickly from actual gameplay, so yes, you may see me goofing off in various ways boosting, bug hunting, exploring the map, etc.. If a game consists of an entire team of mentally challenged blue dots without mics, yep, i'll probably wander off and screw around to save myself the frustration.
I don't particularly care a for ignorant people, so throw your judgements around recklessly if you wish. I'll just and . Next time you see me doing something unusual, send me a game mail and ask what i'm up to. Join me, even. Find out why i'm actually doing it before passing your ill-informed judgement.
This is all.
Note: It's not slander if you get your facts straight. If you falsely accuse someone of foul-play without an actual understanding of their actions, that is indeed slander. |

It is still a beta. However, find an exploit, report it, move on, don't sit in the corner abusing it all day every day. Not saying you have System, rather this post is in part defensive of you to a certain degree.
Agreed. It's extremely obvious to see who is abusing it and who is not. Yet this numbnuts chose to call me out. I've got plenty of opinions on the topic with various points and counter-points but it's just not worth debating. I don't even really need to defend my actions, most people know what i'm about. It's just ridiculous that with the hours I put in and play legitimately and fairly, a guy I've never heard of before picks me out of the herd to point a finger at. There are far worse criminals than I to be worried about. |

RHYTHMIK Designs wrote:The problem is not some much the boosting, but the OS spam that comes with it. If someone is boosting on their own in a corner somewhere is one thing, but to do it and be rewarded w/ something that changes the outcome of a match is different.
That's a valid thought and OB's can indeed affect a game. But the large majority of the time when people are boosting, that team loses. I can guarantee if you were on the other side you'd much rather 4 competent players screwing around somewhere instead of being on the battlefield in your face. Even if they called in Orbitals, you still wouldn't be as hindered as you would if they were playing. They would affect the battle far more on the battlefield than any number of Orbitals could. The orbitals are annoying, but keep in mind, it's not hard to obtain a large amount of Orbitals through actual gameplay. I have many times be leader of a squad that obtained Orbitals every 2-3 minutes legitimately playing the game. That is on par with some boosters. The Orbitals need balancing in general , not just because they are a byproduct of boosting and rewarding cheaters.
Sorry to get off topic and go off into left field about Orbitals. What were we discussing here?
Oh yea...
BURN THE BOOSTERS!!!
To better aid in the witch hunt, here's a proven method of identifying those witches....or....boosters. |

Furthermore, you should be far more concerned with the concept that the boosters are hitting their new SP cap immediately, which allows them to skill up before everyone and potentially kill you more for the duration of the week until the cap is reset, and they again hit the cap immediately, skill up immediately, and kill you even more. Over time, some player may not hit their cap every week for lack of time to play. The boosters *always* hit theirs every week. They are also banking millions of ISK since they are not spending any on suits per game. In the beginning (now) the affects are negligible. In the long term, however, they will absolutely be ahead of everyone else in SP and have an unfair advantage. They will have far higher skill levels and have an absurd amount of expendable ISK. Most people are so focused on the Orbitals or these people being ranked highly on the leaderboards, or causing their team to lose,or pointing out their lame W/L ratio, but secretly they are laughing at you because they ARE gaining a huge advantage in the long run and that is what everyone should be concerned about here. Open your eyes to the bigger picture, folks. |

Foldenfly wrote:It's also important to note that the OBs will not always be in our hands, if I am interpreting CCP correctly. Down the line, OBs will be called in by Dusters who are communicating to the EvE corp who contracted them. They will be launched from ships in orbit over the planet. The real question in that event is how many orbitals can those ships launch, how frequently, and can more than one ship launch them at a time?
Indeed. They did test the OB dust/eve interaction on Buckingham recently. So, my guess is that will be coming in sooner than later. I do believe Orbitals will be far more rare when that happens. Right now the orbitals are annoying so people QQ about it. That should be the least of their concerns though and it will be when all of these boosters are running protogear nonstop and spamming high end vehicles. |
