LOL you guys have no room to complain. Us EVE players only have passive SP and if you have your attributes mapped for say gunnery you will get about 1.5mil SP a month MAX.
Of course remapping yourself for gunnery means your training for mechanics will slow down to only 500k SP a month.
Oh and did I mention you can only remap once a year in EVE?
You still earn SP faster than we do and your skills cost the exact same amount of SP as ours do.
You know that x1 skill that took you a few hours to get the SP for? Yeah it took us EVE players 3-5 days for the same amount of SP.
Short point, stop bitching. |

Are you gonna cry for when they introduce more skills and it feels even longer?
I'm more worried about the expirence on the field and payment.
Just cause people had specialized into guns first mostly means they'll be gank before those that go for tank, and they'll be better survivors faster.
I don't have to big of a problem thinking about it , but it doesn't get you excited to spend SP. But we'll find out when we can get SP again and spend it on what we need. |

My problem with the SP cap so low is that the game needs a good player base to be successful imo, having the cap set so low really discourages people from playing the game, particularly the most dedicated players.
Having a cap is fine, and I agree that it is a nice way of keeping ppl from accruing ridiculous amounts of SP and dominating newer players. That said, if ppl are getting close to the cap after 2 days of playing, I would say that the cap is too low. |

I think they meant 500k sp for a whole week ^^" which they already reach in two days.
I myself having play only for a night is now at 700k sp. I don't have problem with sp cap yet but it sound like we could use a higher sp cap. |

I am playing Skirmish maps (doing anything between 8/8 and 19/8, depending on my current form and technical limitations due to latency) and I make between 10k and 25k SP per match. Have played yesterday quite a bit, too. Currently at 270k earned SP total (no booster). It is probably less than you have earned this week...
Last match: number 1 on my team with 8/8 and 800 WP (we lost due to clone depletion...damn Precision Strike spammers) and got 17k SP. I think the number of SP you get is not only determined by the absolute WP count, but also by the ratio of your WP vs total WP (on your team). So if you are 5th with 1500 WP you might get less than when you're first with 1300 WP. There might even be that the WP earned by the opposing team has some impact, so when you do good compared to your teammates, but the enemy has substantially more WPs earned, you get even more WP (because you were pitted against a 'superior' team). But unless CCP shines some light on it, we will probably never know how SP gain per match is calculated. |

The only reason it feels like it is taking for ever is because you are you were playing the last build. For new players coming into the game on this build or if they were they would feel this to be the norm and just accept it.
The individual who related it back to EVE was right on the money for this. It is also a nice way to make sure people don't grind to fast to the top. It is also a way to give the game more longevity between expansions and builds. |

is this cap per a character or over the account, if its per a character try leveling one of the other 2 character you can have when you reach cap with 1 this way you will have 3 diffrent skill sets to play with depending on your mood/what your corp needs |

Being a long time EVE player i'm torn on the issue, I see what CCP is doing and i do agree with it, slowing down the speed that it takes to get to top tier items increases longevity of the build. Right now there isn't all the modules and no where near the amount of skills the final product will launch with i would assume.
Hitting the cap doesnt bother me too much because if i spent my skill points wisely and met the cap then i should still be better than someone who didnt reach the cap or didnt spend his points wisely. Instead of me beating someone in a tier 2 suit and a GEK with my tier 3 items i'm simply beeting a militia fit with tier 2 items. Its the same thing.
New players coming into the game will adapt to the system at hand and i doubt that the current state of what we have will be the final outcome. This system will change because getting no sp simply doesnt make sense. I might suggest having a maximum of 1k sp once you reach a certain amount, allowing for advancement just at a slow pace.
Stay vocal and contribute to a discussion with ccp on a better fix to the system. We can come up with a balance that will keep CCP happy with not allowing players to max out in a month and keeping us players interested in coming back to play the game day after day. |

Even a new player who wasnt used to sp rewards in builds 2 and 3 will take issue with this.
initially they will see huge gains and despite good preformance there rewards will get progressively worse and worse. This will be an incentive not to play until the day the sp cap resets.
Im not entirely sure if CCP wants to attempt to bank off of a game that encourages people to only play it one day a week.
I understand what there trying to do but there has to be a better way then decentivizing play all together. I personally dont care about isk and dont care about loot. My character is getting stomped in alot of one on ones because I have **** skills. The only thing that fixes that is sp. If regardless of my performance im going to end up getting less and less rewards for my efforts, that gives me a reason not to play.
Also think about this. If the SP cap resets on sunday or when ever, The servers will be a complete and total clusterfuck that day. |

Love these types of posts. Trust me guyz nobody will want to play this game because I'm the expert on what console people like. Maybe the audience will be different since oh I don't know the game is different.
If you want skillpoint gain where you max out your character fast go somewhere else. That never was and never will be the point of eve.
Lack of active skilling means you should play how you want to that way you have fun playing or something weird like that. The game is meant to be played for fun and to have an impact on something that sticks around. That second part isn't really a thing yet but it certainly will be. |
