Dev Hercules with all due respect you are missing the point. Look at the forums since the new build there are a ton with complaints about people SP farming, cheating, to get strikes they didn't earn through normal game play which is a violation of the EULA. Rather than tell players to work better as a team or equip better modules how about banning the cheaters who are disregarding the rules they agree to each time they launch Dust. If this is not fixed by banning the SP farmers you will have a great game that nobody wants to play. These cheaters found this exploit last build and the SP cap you implemented did nothing to deter them. They are no longer doing this to help the game by finding exploits they are doing it to grief others and should be stopped not with another warning or tweak to the code but with a ban. Make an example here for the good of the future of Dust and send the message CCP will not allow people to disregard the EULA while laughing at you for not holding them accountable. |

Thread in the feedback section regarding this issue.
I've seen several threads on this in both general and feedback with (collectively) the following summery.
1. Increase WP needed to earn a OB/PS ~2700 seems about right (or roughly double the current rate) 2. Do not count WP gained by use of a OB/PS toward the acquisition of another. 3. Change WP awards for use of an OB/PS such that all squad members earn assists from kills made via the OB/PS (as opposed to current system where squad leaders are awarded kills and others are given nothing)
The following three changes should resolve any further issues with regards to this imbalance. |

i got a triple kill on a tank via Orbital strike 1. no time to get away and 2. u can get them like every 20-30 secs |

Game Developers time is very limited so the first thing is to see if there is a problem on an elongated front that impacts a significant playerbase number.
With all due respect but before creating a request thread the proper problem solution protocol is to VERIFY if others are also seeing the problem and thus a general talk/discusion thus follows.
THEN when the problem has been identified to be WIDESPREAD then a request thread is done to provide possible player generated solutions to be included in said request thread pending eventual final and evolving fixes generated by the Game Developers that may or may not include player generated solutions to the aforementioned problem.

I agree, the OB is getting very very old very very fast. there are at least 10 to 20 per match. i could see that if we had 120 players on the field, but man what a joke. |

I think they mean how OBs one shot a tank. So it won't matter what you fit or how high you train
Agreed! It makes wasting millions of sp to train tanks pointless.

actually I was doing turret for a tank driver and never died once all we did was watch for the blue lazor of death and make sure the driver was aware of incoming bombardments so he could

Sadly true and it makes tanks and dropships pointless. But even worse is the absent thrill of the hunt of the lone forge gunner engageing and killing a heavy marauder sagaris tank That fun is gone from this build.
It also makes training any kind of AV specialty also pointless since basic or even militia swarms easily kill the LAvs that everyones using.

Yes, but the problem with precision strikes remain. There is the need of a cooldown timer. During fanfest you said that orbital strikes would have had a timer so that you couldn't just spam Battleship Rounds on the ground, why didn't you limit the precision strike too? |

If vehicle repairing doesn't generate WPs for a Logi, kills shouldn't generate WPs for Assault, Scout, or Heavy. Seeing as how you are basically kneecapping the class and taking away there best and fastest way to earn WP and SP |

Damage needs to be tracked "By Enemy" and "Total HP". Repairing the enemy damage should award WP, repairing 'other' damage should not. Problem solved.
Of course, then they have to write a routing to track the damage seperately, which sucks, and it's probably not going to be done that way.

I watched a dude get his Gunnlogi with missile turrets get popped by a Precision Strike. That has to suck, had to be at least a half mil in mods lost to guys washing a car back at base.
I've found that if you keep moving and don't sit still, you can easily dodge the Precision Strike in a tank. Those new speed boost mods help too. The trick is to get them to shoot at you when you're in a sub-par place next to a good place. They call in the lightning, you just move 10 yards away (meters for you metric guys) and resume shelling the enemy while the strike goes on. Seems they can't call in two at the same time, so you're golden. |

I don't think a lot of dust players understand the risk and coordination it will take in the future. Putting and eve battleship in orbit, while possibly other corp is coming to kill it, and gun based anti ship defenses to worry about...these strikes will not be as numerous nor a simple "it just happens cuz we repair things" occurrence.
But this precision strike bit....definitely needs to be adjusted. |

If you honestly don't see that OB's/OS's are an issue Hercules get yourself on the live server and actually play the game. It's horrendous.
You can farm them without even farming SP if you know how. My squad leader went 49-3 in one match as our squad was pretty much earning them constantly. |
