Also, it says you get 2000 Aur wich doesnt make any sense with yesterday's inflation on AUR. So, maybe this promotional code won't be usable until a set date. I think you guys at CCP should communicate sooner than later about this.

The side of the box very clearly mentions "Guristas Saga", which is a Faction LAV.

My guess, is that because EVE effectively advertises itself, they don't know how to advertise Dust, because they haven't had the proper experience. I mean, if I look up an EVE fleet battle at school to show to one friend, next thing I know there are 10-15 people gathered around saying "Dude thats epic!" and all of a sudden there are 10-15 people that have been subject to free advertising. Where as with Dust, there really isn't very much thats epic about it right now....

O top of half of the games features being ready to launch with no announcement any day now all we can do is sit around and wonder why there wasn't a single story out of TGS, what the crap CCP. Just tell us the build is behind or something :/

And my point is that a lot of interest has already been generated. These forums are more active than those of many launched games. There are corps already forming up. Clans from other games are showing a strong interest and looking to start corps. The game was a big hit at E3, TGS, and gamescon. They have a pretty good presence on facebook, youtube, and twitter, and are featured pretty frequently on the main Playstation blog as well as other mainstream gaming sites. What more can you suggest that they do at this point from a marketing perspective? And of course they are being quiet. The game is still in development. We have a general idea of what to expect in the next patch, but not much specific beyond that. Why? Because the development roadmap - in specific terms - is based off of that next patch. So yes, all we know are generalities, because that's all that is certain. It's not like CCP has a finished launch-ready version of the game with complete features, graphics, items, etc. and is just stringing us along with incremental updates...

Just as with any other game before launch. CoD didn't provide anything more than information in the form of trailers, discussions, and articles before they launched. DUST is actually doing more in that they are allowing for a very player-driven beta experience to drive development.

Just so people know there was not an update today and corporations have not been added. This was pretty much what I expected because there were no NEW patch notes about it other than a dev blog that didn't give a date. There will ALWAYS be patch notes before updates and they always have a date. Don't say something unless you know for a fact it's going to happen. Way to spread the rumors guys good job.

You do realize that they decoded over the weekend to change the currency, and that the marketing for the new PS3 was decided weeks ago I hope. Marketing can't be changed over night in the corporate world. Also, CCP has asked no speculation and everyone here wants CCP to address speculation about a build release date that CCP hasn't announced, and whose release date is documented nowhere, and is the result of rampant rumor. Everyone gets this right? If so, Carey on.

The video was of the current build. Actually, if what IRC is saying is correct, it was of footage from a build newer than precursor, but not the TGS build. Still - a newer build than current, showing progress.

So why did people believe the build was last week? Because of the con in Japan. Why did people think the build was today? Because of the new PS3 dropping. No one at CCP has ever said it was coming and until I see CCP announce in writing then its not coming.
