Okay, people cry about tanks. You raise the price of tanks to cut back on tanks. People cry some more about tanks. You make them not as effective while making AV more effective. Now my question is when do the prices on AV go up being its better? When will the prices of tanks go back down being they are worse? I mean I don't have to use a tank to have fun in this game. As well I am not going to be buying things that aren't effective. Such as a rail gun that costs 400k and only does 120 splash. I mean grenades do more splash damage than a missile turret! I mean really A FREAKIN MISSILE THAT DOES LESS SPLASH THAN A GRENADE? That makes not one bit of since to me. Really stop giving in to all the babies. I lose tanks to AV squads and they have to work together but yeah it's a squad. They are supposed to work together! Might as well just take the tank out of the game. My grenades are more effective now. SMH at CCP |

As much as I find this hilarious to read immediately after a tank nerf, I actually kind of agree with you. It wasn't the strength of tanks that I hated, was the amount of them showing up in battles at once compared to the amount of players per game. It was just ridiculous and in my opinion they tweaked the wrong thing by nerfing them. |

Let's be fair. Tanks were nerfed, but only AFTER they had been buffed. AV was buffed, but only AFTER it had been nerfed.
Of course you'll complain, you're a tank user. However, I do have to say, tanks have been a bit over-nerfed. I'm sure CCP will rebalance soon enough. (hopefully not too much, as they should def NOT go back to how they were) |

Ya know I said the same thing after the other tank nerfs when people were still crying. People are complaining when everything isn't in place. CCP has a plan and when they bring other things into the game a tank will really be useless. Either way I will just go AR now. I really enjoy what STB can do with or without tanks. I used my tank to back up my squad. I'm sure you have all been in rounds when I only get 6 kills with a tank. It is simply because I like to win. I used my tank in a way that benefits the entire squad. If we didn't have a letter I would roll on over and help my squad take that letter. Never would I sit in my spawn and try to snipe other tanks or infantry. I do not play in that style of play. I used it to defend or help my team out. I mean either way I don't care how many people post in here saying anything about STB being a tank corp, or we will be nothing without tanks. Once we can man a 16 man platoon what we do on the field will show people we are here to win. I'm not saying we will be unbeatable or being egotistical(i probably butchered that word). I am simply saying that we will be a worthy opponent for most if not all corps. I look forward to being able to play a 16 vs 16 or whatever vs whatever. Only then will people really see what STB possesses. Thanks for reading and thanks for commenting in any negative way to keep this post on the top. I'm sorry - a squad has to work to kill you (and only you!?) A tank - REALISTICALLY - needs AN ENTIRE SQUAD to run it - if you want to get technical - quit the bit chin! It's just a test - really! |

I'm only doing what every other player in the beta did. I didn't see anyone calling them out. From most of the posts I read, 80% were backing them up. Only seems right that I of all players get hated on my threads. It's ok though I like seeing that I have ruined everyones day. LOL |

These are efforts to test. If they don't work, please provide constructive feedback. And yes, this is not just a single change - these are a series of changes meant to balance. They will get there, but we need to know how they actually work in the game, not just on paper. Try them for more than a match or two. Learn tactics. When they work, great, when they don't, provide ways to fix. Don't just complain. I'll offer cheese. |

Oh yeah, my skills are just as expensive as yours - as well as the suits and equipment I have to buy. Ratio to Ratio - you have saved a lot more money than I have. (and it's not cause I sux - CCP is trying to make it even - but every one will bit ch when they get "wronged")  |

I honestly sympathize a little with you Ted.
As an AV guy myself, I only ever asked for a bit of a buff when it came to the AV stuff, not a tank nerf. It seems silly to penalize the tanks. They're friggin tanks! They're suppose to be monsters, that's the point. The previous strength of the tank forced squads to work together, WHICH IS THE WHOLE DAMN POINT OF THE GAME. A fellow TCD member and I teamed up against a few of your guys' tanks in a more recent match (a few nights ago) and we stood our own against them, we just had to think a little more about it than the usual "charge head first into tank, die" method.

The majority of the current player base is not mature enough to provide constructive feedback, or use tactics. Asking them not to complain is a waist of your precious time. What isn't a waist of time is finding the people who don't waist time complaining, and spend time winning.
When corp battles come out, corps will form and have core groups of players who will be forced to think in terms of countering instead of posting on forums.

You're completely right, I totally forgot that nano hives and depots moved with you and wrapped you in a huge HP buffer. Damn man, can you point me to these patch notes, I'm missing all sorts of stuff >_< |

Again, separate driver and gunner positions. The main gun can be operated completely independently of driving the tank, allowing it to be more maneuverable and it's main gun to be more effective, and it would now require no less than two people to operate an HAV, just as it takes more than one person to kill one. Everyone wins. |
