I am making this thread because from the little i have played, sniping so far has been the hardest role to fill in this game. The purpose of this thread is a place where tips and tricks can be talked about and things can be picked up by new guys like me Tips can range from tips on how to play better, to fittings used on the different armors, anything really that you think would help someone else.

one thing that would help most of my targets(counter sniper speaking) is that if you hear what sounds like something whizzing right by your head, RUN. that means the other sniper has you in his sights and just missed you by inches. don't sit there and look for him. get behind something, keep moving to something else, keep as much of the battlefield behind something as you can to obscure their shot, move slowly to a new point to keep off their radar(if you're like me, already plan on someone finding you and plan at least 2 covers down the road.)
never think that because they aren't shooting back, the enemy wont find you, because that just means someone is lining up their shot.
in short, be flighty and paranoid. |

I too am new and I like to snipe on a forum post i learned that if you crouch while sniping you have a steadied rifle because of this I went on a killing spree with a militia sniper rifle. |

Be careful of friendly fire when they turn that on (Hey, I have to test if it's working, right?)
;-)
It's also really easy to fill... Godly shotgun players? +£ber mass kittening driver players? Top killer logibros? These are hard spots to fill. Not to ruin your Cheerios or anything... However a godly sniper IS hard to find. But you will simply know if you are one or not. And so will we. ANDJ3H where did you go :(
Top tip? Cover the hack point. |

Never stay in one spot for long. Lead moving targets. Skill up dropsuit command. Ignore haters, they are prolly just upset you sniped them before they could get into their tank. Make sure you reload whenever you have a chance. Do not park yourself somewhere obvious. Try and be useful by covering objectives. Always watch for dropships. Always watch for RDV because its so fun to kill someone before they can get into their vehicle. |

dude the shots r not always instant and when they r running u need to otherwise u will fire at where they were not at where they are at. so lead them if they are traveling left or right so you can hit them. |

Snipe near an objective, keep an eye on it. It's usually safe to stay somewhere for 2-3 mins, but pay attention to who you kill - some people come looking for revenge. If you want a laugh, use type 2, remote explosives and nano. Start with a RE on an objective and use it if it's necessary. When you have annoyed enough people for them to come rushing you, drop an re on your spot and leg it somewhere else. 99% of the time the guy looking for you will stand where you were. Boom. Hehehe |

Nah, this isn't accurate. Don't you notice that the people you shoot take damage instantly whether they're at 50 m or 500 m?
Jin Robot wrote:Dude, you most definitely have to lead a moving target. You are the one spreading false info. Maybe you only shoot at stationary
No, I have no trouble hitting targets running around. I'm actually pretty surprised that people think you need to lead targets. Maybe this is why most snipers have such low kill counts. As I said to the other guy, have you never shot someone at 500+ m? Don't you notice that they take damage immediately? That there isn't a delay? |

yes but they r staying still I am saying that if they r moving side to side relative to you you need to "shoot in front of them" that way they are where the shot is in stead of missing u hit them |

Oh and upgrade from militia ASAP. There is such a big difference between that and standard. My personal preference is tactical snipers, but you should experiment with each type to see what you like. |
