Works perfectly for me. In fact, I'm in an armor tank and rarely lose my shield. And even when I do, I can repair the armor with the armor repairer. 3000 shield, 8000 armor + repairer, and an advanced missile launcher for the main cannon. |

Back to topic, it does seem a little silly that railguns from tanks fire somewhat quickly now yet forge cannons take 5 to 10 seconds to fire one round. I normally die while trying to power up one shot with a forge. Swarms also have a delay as they have to lock on. Not to mention tanks have rediculous range (been shot through stuff several times in the last week) and there are 3 guns spewing fire with unlimited ammo. Wouldn't be quite so bad if range hadn't also appeared to of been nerfed on the forge cannon where firing from a decent distance causes no damage. The way I see it, there is not even a point in trying to go AV against a tank any more as all I have done is lost ISK when trying to do so. All I do now is avoid the tanks and take objectives elsewhere. I think most have gone to doing this as there is not a point in going AV. |

Yes? But with the shield extenders rather than the damage resists, I get a much higher shield. |

We all know the skill it takes to drive a tank. It's the skill NOT to drive into the red zone. After sniping the driver before he could get into his ship I jumped into his gunloggi with 5k+ shields and another guy from the random suqad jumped at the controls while I got the blaster in front (yay!). well we continued to roll through enemy tanks and AV nades and swarm launchers until my random buddy decided to run the tank into red zone and suicide us all. Well apart from putting expensive stuff into your tank the actual driving and shooting didn't seem to be that difficult. |

Yes, I have but that doesn't explain the severe mismatch between both. The way the forge cannon has been nerfed, there's no way to take out the higher end tank even with several allies using them. There are those that say to use grenades (mostly tank drivers I suspect) but most tanks do not ever get within grenade range. Therefore, infantry have nothing currently to counter tanks which I think makes tanks slightly broken; not OP but no way to counter them. Right now, one higher end tank slightly overpowers a match and with two or more, there's no reason to even stay in the match, allied or friendly as the tanks will be taking all of the kills. You can outmaneuver tanks in Skirmish but when you get into a fire fight in Ambush, the tanks roll in for an easy kill. Forge guns need to go back to the way they were to properly counter tanks. |
