If you guys have any artworks you have done because of Dust in general, post them here. It doesn't matter if they are stick figures or a master piece, as long as it's Dust fan art or simply inspired by Dust, post them!
Right now I am working on a illustration of a group of mercenaries charging in. Going for a letter I guess? lol It's in WIP stages, more details will be put on canvas. Color wise, Im still working on it. I decided to have the helmets open because I wanted to show the emotions from the mercenaries. I think it sells the painting. Still a WIP though.

Added more details and fixed proportion issues. Inspired by Pokey's Concord dropsuit model. It would be bad ass to actually be Concord in Dust IMO.

From another thread, rough view of a Minmatar 'Wolverine' 9mm Binary Assault Rifle (ie: uses two chemical compounds that are stable by themselves, but explode violently when mixed, as the propellant for the rounds) will do 3d view later as i have time.

Caldari Banshee Class, will have to change the name of it to fit naming conventions- originally a drawing for something else but i made it with EVE influences, would work as a cruiser class or an MCC I think.

also from another thread, originally had it listed as a minmatar ship, but design is more caldari, so point taken in that it is caldari, probably cruiser class as well. was made with eve influences as well, lol.

Will do some tanks and stuff later, but I do most of my sketches on whatever scratch paper i can find fairly quickly, so yeah I suck, lol. |

Since we have seen so much progress in the development of Eve Online and Dust 514, I figured it would be appropriate to post my inspired works here for you guys to see.
The drawing style will vary a little on some of the older drawings as I was in the learning phase of my artistic hobby. But later on, I developed a particular style which you will have noticed by now on the first two links and stuck with that. Every artist has a unique drawing style that enables viewers to identify the artist from all the other artists.
At the moment, I use an 11" x 17" comic book paper and scan them in using my old Epson flat bed scanner. On top of that, I use Photoshop Elements 8 with an Wacom Intuos 4 tablet for digital artworks.
The "End The War" piece was inspired by the "Immortal" trailer for Dust 514 when Empress Jamyl Sarum made her announcement to the Amarr Empire. The "Intaki 5 - Moon 14" piece is based on what I read on the Dust514Base fansite about what 514 possibly meant. The two renditions of the "Dust Bunnies 514" are inspired by the Eve Online community's view on Dust mercs. Wear those ears with pride, mercs. |

Have any trouble with stalkers? Cause I would kill for you to do one like that of a scout crouching with a charge rifle.

I'm thinking about that. The trick is finding a good enough pose for the drawing. Sometimes I use a camera and take photos of myself at various angles to see how the body settles in a certain position and use that as a basis for my drawings.

I'm thinking about that. The trick is finding a good enough pose for the drawing. Sometimes I use a camera and take photos of myself at various angles to see how the body settles in a certain position and use that as a basis for my drawings. Anyways, thanks for the compliment.
Just put her on top of a hill, make it a side view with her looking down the scope.

Caldari Submanchine Gun
Basically it's a mix between a TDI Vector, a Tavor, a Scar-H and several other guns. In my mind it is made by the Kaalakiota corporation as a specialist short ranged weapon for urban combat and room clearance.
Fluffwise, the small size of the weapon forced the designers to use ETC technology in order to accelerate the rounds it fires. This was done because the batteries it would need in order to power a more traditional coilgun design would make it too unwieldy to use effectively.
That said, it fires a 15 gram Tungsten Carbide bullet at over 1200m/s by converting 6 grams of compressed metallic hydrogen into plasma via a 6000 degree electrical arc. Yay science. |

No it doesn't. For one thing the Halo "SMG" is more like a machine pistol than an SMG. anther thing is that everything down to the basic design is different as well. The only thing that it shares with the Halo SMG is the bullpup design and many other guns use that. |

The line between machine pistol and SMG is pretty vague when you look at similarly sized weapons in both categories. But once you start looking at the longer weapons it becomes clear whether something is an SMG or machine pistol.
However, I should have been clearer in my earlier post. When I say that my SMG and the Halo one are completely different I mean in terms of looks. There's also the fact that the Halo SMG is a compact submachine gun at best and a large machine pistol at worst. My gun however is verging on being a carbine due to its length though I think that it is still classified as an SMGas it fires pistol rounds. |

Okay so this is a suck little sketch I did at work on a post it note while thinking about the background my two characters.
Hopefully I'll turn it into a real drawing or digital painting at some point.
Anyway my main is Taja Grox and she is a true Amarr, she's the one sitting in her chair, enjoying some wine and grabbing the butt of her one, nameless female Ni-Kunni slave.
Taja is an amateur sculptor and if I turn this thing into an actual drawing I'll prolly put more effort in the relief in the background.
Taja is unaware but her nameless slave is also an sniper/assasin and secretly joins Taja on the battlefield hiding and sniping foes that are about to blind side Taja, in order to help her mistress self esteem, and to help her gain further glory.
I'm new to the EVE universe so I hope that works, but any suggestions would be welcome. ; )

I had an Idea for a new type of droan, one that can come out of space and carry out strikes in dust. I decided it would have to look considerably more sleek and aerodynamic than the current space faring drones (which, for the benefit of our dust-only friends, look pretty ugly), and also have wings. I also decided that because the Gallente are the race that best uses drones, it should follow the Gallente aesthetic. here is a crappy side view of one I drew earlier. I call it the 'Kingfisher', and gave it a kingfisher-like nose. now who can guess why I called it the kingfisher?

This is immense, I love it. I want this as an oversize wall poster. It is now my desktop background. The fog is very atmospheric and the light and scale are beautifully composed. In fact I believe you've crossed the line from Fan Art to 'Art'.
If you'd painted this in oils on a 5m wide canvas it would be called 'fine art' and displayed in national galleries!
What resolution is the original? =]

am in the process of doing some work for our corp, but have a question regarding how CCP handles copyright on images. To clarify, this is for non-commercial purposes only.
Seems on the Eve side of things they have had an ambiguous stand, at least that's my impression from reading blogs.
Anyone have a clear reference (preferably in non-lawyer lingo) post or statements explaining the Yay/Nay's of what CCP is allowing and future ownership?
Especially in the sometimes murky understanding of 'Fair Use' artwork? Meaning the use of CCPs own original DUST514 work as starting points for digital painting and photoshop work.
Clarification would greatly be appreciated

I recently had a good friend commission a piece to make a patch for my soldier. She was nice enough to make the drawing and afterwards I added the patch background and softened the picture up a bit.
Now the world will know when they are fighting with Galm "Pixy" Fae, State Peacekeepers Infantry Battalion!
