For all dropsuits Thanks didn't want to comment in a thread that was on a different bug. That said, I'm also experiencing it. Where as the event might occur for some after making some changes, I've had it happen just going from one match to the next one. Granted yes, it is possible what is being updated in the background might be inventory from items gained in the last match, I'm not actively going into market or updating dropsuites. I have found that I can wait it out and it will eventually catch up. Haven't found a minimum time to wait yet. I tried for 15 minutes, as suggested in another post, but it ended up being a hour. Will try again later, as I'm sure it will crop up when I play today.
Same here. Hit me couple days ago after one match. I started up another and and all my militia fittings (the only ones I have) are Invalid. Started the game up again today, checked my fittings were good to go. Started a match, Invalid.
I do notice that it has ONLY hit me since the servers went away and I was forced to use Instant Battle. When are the servers coming back, btw? I dislike Ambush. |

Update: (I got 12 games in a row with a group of 2 that was only stopped by a random joining into our squad during a match more on this later) [& many sessions of 7 or more before more people joined unexpectly, in match.]
Question: How are you making your groups? Are you selecting the first open slot right under your name and loading up 2-3 names from your contact list and sending out a bunched group invite? Has anyone taken the tediously long time to invite each person to an open slot?
General Information about the problem, it is generally associated / linked with the mechanics that control the Marketplace as you have 0 gear even for militia stuff in your assests and the market is normally not accessible, you will not be able to save any changes to vehicle and dropsuit fittings as they won't be saved upon restart, you are no longer properly connected to the server.
Before joining into a group, there can be no previous group, the whole group has to be remade (meaning that if you have 2, and a 3rd wants in, you both have to leave and also if you have 3 and want a 4th).... I need to test this more when we go to get into 3's & 4's in the group more) If you do get the invalid glitch because of an extra team text/voice channel, everyone must restart the game only, not the entire ps3, unless it freezes going back to the xmb.
Also before joining a group Step 1: IF your dropsuits are out of order, do the trick where you get them to line up the right way.
Step 2: Then once you are in group waiting to launch an instant battle, only the squad leader can go into the neocom (start button menus), and only to select instant battle at this point. Do not look at anything while waiting for people to arrive, you just have to sit there and do nothing. Also avoid going anywhere near the Local channel (select button menu) as that trying to load names while hang many a system and only displays the written conversation.
If someone gets left behind in the merc quarters while the battle initializing menu is on the screen, do not back out until you are in the warbarge or the choose spawn location option is available. You can sometimes back out, but once the team chat channel is created you have to ride it out until the match launches - if already in progress or be in the warbarge with more than 20 seconds on the clock before start. If anyone has the extra team channel, you should remake the whole group.
For whatever reason, the marketplace seems linked at least in some way to the host or squad leader before you get in the war barge (this is just a rudimentary guess at best and I know it has been mentioned by others already about not doing anything until in game).
Once you get into the warbarge the system seem to stop thinking of you as a group or squad and links your account to the battle, for score and kills/deaths, sp and isk. It is at this time or in match that you should be able to access the menu and restock or adjust. |

I seem to get the bug more often if I am in a player-made squad. Same seems true for my friends who play in my squads. |

4x reboots in a row. yup broken my personal best of 2 reboots.
it is broken, i am unhappy,
no changes at all, no squads made all auto gen from server/client.
invalid fitting, either from a server full message. or a borked player waiting screen. but now a new bug has turned up with the invalid fitting.
when i get an invalid fitting i also noticed a squad chat running, infact 3x squad chat running. i was able to activate chat on all three chanels one by one. was able to navigate menus, but crashed when i went to instabattle again.
i turned of for the night after that, was pointless after 4 reboots an hour, and only three matches played. so i logged into eve and found i had got 110m sp :). sometimes invalid bug is good bug lol |

nope i waited 5 minutes after wards, and then waited 15 and it still did it. It didnt always happen after making changes either, sumtimes it would just randomly happen. |

Needless Sacermendor wrote:Wakko03 wrote:Can it possibly have something to do with the fact that order the dropsuits are supposed to be in gets messed up. Meaning I have paid suits mixed in between my [starter fits], and on top of that my created ones are in no particular order and are not in the order to which I created them. Oh sure sometimes they reset back to the order they were created in, and then that usually results in the drop suits going invalid shortly. I've found the solution to the suits being out of order is to create a new fitting, this alone 're-orders the fittings back to how they should be, you can immediately delete it without even having to add any modules, just creating it sorts it.
My friend and I have both had this happen today as usual, and seeing this post we thought it may help but we both have blank lines when we open a new fitting. So this doesn't work for everyone unless you can elaborate a little, did you try this from in you quarters i guess as we both did .?
As far as we can see this is just random, I had changed nothing for sometime and a few battles in, all suits are invalid.

I am going to be further testing my theory in a little while, however it might all be do to the fact that some of our salvage items are not in the market place at all and can not be restocked, when you do try to restock them it says item not found in market (or something close to that).
Listen, this is just like the First Batman movie with micheal keaton, and jack nickolson.....you can't use deodorant while also using hairspray and toothpaste type of thing. Since it is still an ongoing problem, I felt the need to just spitball with everyone about the limited success I have had. I did game yesterday for about 8 hours, with about 6-7 random in-valids hitting the squad leader mostly (who was playing in the menus and restocking while in the merc quart), while I had 2-3 random in-valids hit only when I also did something by hitting a button either select or start button menus, when I didn't do anything but turn my merc around to not look at the screens in my quarters.
I still have my 4 default starter fits in their original defaults, no changes to modules or anything within them. I have my loadout's names customized (renamed) all 14 of them +the original 4 starter fits.
Can you please share how you are making your groups?
I don't know about the rest of you, but my local chat channel is so huge it never loads, don't even bother to look at it as it seems to want to keep trying to load for a good 5 minutes or more sometimes. |

Yea, got the invalid bug. Restarted the game, didn't open a single window when i got in, but clicked circle to enter instant que, got invalid bug again after 3 consecutive "server full" errors. going to look into the posibility of using the instant que button instead of the console in your room to activate it. |

I was not having the best of luck either last night, I ended up only able to get 8 games in before a 5pt skirmish bricked on the controller out to the merc quarters.
Rolling as a single player was a nightmare, when the invalid glitch didn't hit the comm channel would lock on to the team channel... requiring a lot of restarts of the game. i got pulled into so many groups, to just explain things; like how the squad up works and the chat channels, even how to make a militia dropsuit.....so much mail came in to my ps3, let me just say it is a pain for me to type with the move so text messaging was a pain in the tuckus. I am forced to hip fire everything, and can't use most of the stuff but that is okay.....magically they will get that working perfectly for launch with no input from anyone actually using it; but again that is another issue.
You can only hide behind the "it is a beta, for so long".............wish we could get a pity post of some sort or response from someone in ccp with something other than we are not really concerned with this, we are working on the new stuff.
Well, I just want to know, are you going to let this go until the next build (because it is not an issue in that one; which will be eluded to for a long time before we actually get to play it), and could you give us a ballpark figure on if that will be in the end of september or the beginning of october.
You at ccp don't want me wasting your time, please take the same consideration for mine....how much feedback can we give when the only thing we are talking about is, how are your suits, hey they are okay.....mine are invalid, okay restart and make the group....see you in 6 minutes.
I mean something to take the stink off the past 11 days of this nonsense.
I wonder how many new players are giving up because of this and deciding to get a different game. |

I've noticed i tend to get this bug right at the start of my gaming session if i log into Dust and edit my fittings or restock them before entering a match.
Every single time i've logged in for the last few days i've used this method to test it and it seems that every single time i've gone into fittings before doing anything else in game that i get the invalid bug or the game won't connect to a match and i have to restart.
Hope that helps. |

at the other hand, i never had to do a hard reboot of the PS, invalid fittings? yes, mostly after my character has been standing idle due to waiting for friends to come back online after restarting the game, or after looking arround in the market to plan my skill-ups.
tried before to just run arround in my quarters for 15 minutes, and then i didn't got an invalid fitting, tried that several times, never had invalid fittings.
then i tried several times leaving my character and not moving it an inch, i had invalid every time i went into battle after that. Cannot be coincedense after testing that a few times.
would be nice if some1 else would be willing to put that to the test. |

I've noticed it mostly when I get a server full message or I leave my toon idle for awhile. Mostly idle but always when I get a server full message. I also noted that the more it happens the worse it gets. If I get 2 or 3 invalid fits in a day I'm done because it will start happening almost every match. (I start getting more server full messages as well. Seems like any bug creates another bug soon after.) I try to grind for as long as I can and then dink around with skill/fitting, go outside for a smoke, ect. It seems to help. I'm no computer wiz but I'm guessing some sort of memory leak.. |

Yes I've noticed this too. Go away for 15mins or so and idle in your MQ and if you come back, usually have Server Full / Connection has been Lost etc etc. and have to restart.
I rebooted twice in a row last night due to invalid fittings, I didn't do anything but log in and the first two matches I was in I received Invalid Fittings. I rebooted my PS3 13 times last night, was close to the record...

That's entirely false. I've had the invalid bug pop at random times and it doesn't seem to be related to change in fitting.
This time it happened right after I created two new characters (I had only one up to now).
I'll log into one of these new characters and let you know if I can play that.
