This bug is easy to avoid. Whenever you make a change to loadout that includes new ANYTHING you must give the server time to catch up with the changes. The invalid suit bug only happens right after you make changes in game. Since I learned this I havent seen that bug in days. Hope that helps. |

I got the bug right after getting patched for the new round (haven't played in a few weeks due to work). I was able to play in one round, then I caught another round right near the end of it, then tried to join again. I got the "server full" message, then got in and the invalid fitting thing started. I didn't make any changes that I was aware of (I had changed my PTT settings before the first match, still don't think I'm doing it right, do you HAVE to have Aurum to voicechat?) Other than that, I didn't make any changes other than my first skill changes. So I'm not real sure if the cause is making changes and the server not being able to catch up in time. |

It would be really nice if they would acknowledge some of these game breaking bugs, at least let us know that they are working on them. Also, the invalid fitting thing has happened to me when I launched the game and directly tried to start a match, so that work around isn't necessarily true. |

The invalid suit bug is mostly random. The above fix may or may not help, but it is not a solution for every case or a cause. It seems to take place during any number of instances where the client and server are communicating/authenticating the character's assets. It generally happens in the merc quarters, either when logging in or when leaving a battle. I have never had an instance where my fittings were valid in the MQ but then invalid when joining a match. Since this started happening last build, I have checked nearly every time before/after a round to see if my assets are there.
This has little to do with the fits themselves, and has everything to do with the assets of a character as a whole. |

I can also say that the above doesn't work in all situations.
Is he playing as a single player or in a group? Did anyone buy anything? How long is a base time to wait for it to catch up...
Are you being invited to a group that has played a round and then asked you to join after you have played a round or two?
What happens when the server doesn't end my clients team chat....even though I didn't use it. Same thing with that system, flip it and for the love of all things sane.... stop making it a squad in the merc quarters make it a group, or are there really 6 SL's able to set a frago for a ambush match?
Backing out of a Battle Initiliazing because one person was left behind in the merc quarters, if you leave the queue to try to pick them back up, nope you freeze because now the server doesn't know where the client is. If you then rejoin the group without remaking the whole thing you got a 70-30 chance that 1 person at least will get in-valid drop suit glitch.
I'd love to be able to stay restocked up to 50, I just don't have the 15 mil isk it would take this time around. How much militia gear can I test before it becomes boring?
If you end a game and the Team Channel or multiple team channels are in the select button area, chances are 60-40 that you will freeze or get the drop suit glitch.
Can it possibly have something to do with the fact that order the dropsuits are supposed to be in gets messed up. Meaning I have paid suits mixed in between my [starter fits], and on top of that my created ones are in no particular order and are not in the order to which I created them. Oh sure sometimes they reset back to the order they were created in, and then that usually results in the drop suits going invalid shortly.
I have also gotten invalid on the first game in the merc quarters when I re-added a friend to the group without remaking the whole group.
It has occcured because we have switched Squad leaders, but then again I have the same friend with 2 different accounts with the same NAME....so there is a laundry list that keeps going around; how about put up a sticky and move all posts about the issue to one thread and keep us appraised of which one of them are actually not the reason and are just coincidence? |

I never really change my fits around, and I still get it occasionally. In fact, I don't edit fits unless I'm unlocking a new tank piece to replace something already equipped. It has never followed changing fits for me, and from my experience, it happens more often when entering a skirmish match after a string of ambushes. That could just be noticing it more, because the people I play with like to play skirmish, so it's an upset when it happens, and we don't care about having to back out of ambush. |

I got this error on the first match. I made no changes and went straight to the instant battle. It usually happens to me after about 3 matches. Communications displays two or three teams and it will not load the mercs names in squad or team tabs. |

I've found the solution to the suits being out of order is to create a new fitting, this alone 're-orders the fittings back to how they should be, you can immediately delete it without even having to add any modules, just creating it sorts it. |

Invalid bug :
no fittings changed : getting invalid bug showing
server full message : this is a major cause, invalid fittings come if you see this message, you can open fitting window, it will show everthing as ok. suits fittings etc etc all are ok if you open any window, the game crashes. If you start a new battle the PS3 dies, it freezes the game stops and a hard reboot is needed.
i have had it where even holding the PS3 button on controller does nothing a full total lock out.
change my fittings:
still invalid bug , eaxclty the same as above even if fittings changed, evenif i wait 25 mins. yes i even waited 25mins after fitting change just to see if server was hanging or a tad slow, picking up my suits changes. it still crashes !!

Is this invalid suite just for one particular Dropsuite loadout, or for when you launch and all dropsuites are invalid? |

Thanks CCP Frame for dropping by, nice to be in communication at frustrating times, especially with all the new(and old hehe) fodder thats about that i could be killing whilst i am unable to get into a battle.
Ok, the not changing any fittings workaround doesnt seem to work, although i did see more stability in the client when i gave it a moment after changing a fit etc.
Tonight i've had to hardboot my PS3 more times than i probably have done in the last year, all errors brought up in this thread i have experienced, and it seems the longer i play, the worse they get, and i crash starting games more and more often after joining a lobby, or get stuck on the controller loading screen causing me to have to hardboot sometimes.
Having looked for some pattern, all the d/c and errors along with the amount of reboots i have to make, i can say that it just seems random. There is not one thing i am doing consistently except using the instant battle button. And i still crash in all the ways Mr. Tamiacowboy pointed out.
I have loads of fun in matches as well, i hope this can be fixed soon, cmon CCP we got faith! |

I had the worst luck earlier got invalid bug reset dust and instantly got another invalid. I reset game again and got the bug again then reset ps3 to finally get to play. So far the best work around me and my corp have come up with for the most efficient use of our time is 2 part.
1 only restock after joining a match either in war barge or before spawning 2 if any of the squad gets the bug everyone resets dust
These seem to work the best for us. |

Since falling victim to this bug a number of times, i have made it a point to do absolutely nothing when i begin a Dust session. i run all militia gear therefore i never have a reason to restock anything. I don't even use skill points or purchase anything from the market, intentionally to try to avoid this bug since the trigger is still unknown. Unfortunately, i still experienced the invalid fitting bug tonight. The previous occurrences were during solo battles, and where i was indeed making changes in between games. Tonight, i made absolutely no changes to anything in my assets or fittings in order to avoid the bug. i was however in a squad with one other person this time. As far as i know, i did nothing to cause it, and it still happened. I would love to be able to point the finger at a particular trigger for the issue, but i can't because i did nothing to trigger it, yet it still occurred which leads me to believe it's not a specific thing we are doing in game to cause it, it's just a random bug or server issue. It would be nice if CCP could give us any feedback on whether it is a legitimate user triggered issue even if the specific cause is unknown, or if it could potentially just be a random issue caused by something on their end unaffected by what we do. Since i have attempted to narrow it down by doing nearly nothing, and it still happened, i'm leaning towards the fact that there is no particular user action trigger and we may all be doing unnecessary 'rituals' to lower our likelihood of experiencing this problem, when in fact, they may not influence experiencing the issue at all. |

I'll try to help the dev as much as possible, but it sems this bug is still random. I may have found a connection, but I'm not sure. I've quit and logged back on a number of times today, being that the Instant Battle will drop me into a battle and I may forget something, and almost every time, it freezes without bringing up the Searching For Battle status box. If it doesn't, there is ussually a battle in progress that it joins automtically, and all suit configs become Invalid. After I quit that battle, and try to go into instant Battle, it always freezes. I've done this tonight maybe 7 or 8 times, and tried the workaround after three or so, but in every instance I discribed above, the workaround didn't help, as I haven't changed my suit or vehical loadouts today exept once, and then I had to restart as well. Good luck finding the bug, Dev, I hope that helps. |

Thanks didn't want to comment in a thread that was on a different bug.
That said, I'm also experiencing it. Where as the event might occur for some after making some changes, I've had it happen just going from one match to the next one. Granted yes, it is possible what is being updated in the background might be inventory from items gained in the last match, I'm not actively going into market or updating dropsuites. I have found that I can wait it out and it will eventually catch up. Haven't found a minimum time to wait yet. I tried for 15 minutes, as suggested in another post, but it ended up being a hour. Will try again later, as I'm sure it will crop up when I play today. |
