What about a Nanite injector shot for the sniper rifle. So you can reach out and touch someone with a healing hand!! It would have to be a one shot deal as reviving a whole squad from afar could be a bit silly. Thoughts?? |

As a logibro I would have my own sniper shoot me with malpractice and just rage on the battlefield - good plan, a HULK logibro. i approve |

Spawn lock -
any target that dies while under effect of the program has a delay before being able to respawn - higher levels means more time added.
could really turn the course of a battle if you remove the right merc. |

Shock Grenade: Grenades that specifically target the shield modules of dropsuits and disrupts them with a shock wave of energy. It's a good AV weapon and it's also perfect for defending or assaulting against a massive force of infantry.
Infantry Chaffs: Portable chaffs that disrupt enemy radars to the point where even if you're looking at someone they will not show up on your teams radar.
That's all I got for now...

1. Flux Grenades are already this.
2. By the definition set out in the OP, ANY form of direct damage - including shield damage - isn't what the thread is about. |

Not bad...
DUST Bean Bag Gun: Bean bag shotgun that depending on armor type, sends you variable distances backwards. Would be good on the edges of cliffs or buildings.
Purple Haze: A dart pistol that injects psilocybins, LSD, and crushed monkey testicle into targets bloodstream. The effect? Severe hallucinations and dysfunction.
Magnet Mine: A super-magnetic field that has an extremely local but intense range. An equipment that will lock HAV's, and LAV's in place over it should they drive over it, and severely hinder or bring down a dropship.

Foam Bomb: This device already exists in EVE lore. What it does is essentially create a block of foam as hard as concrete, wherever you throw it. If a player is in the detonation, they become encased for a short time before their dropsuits shatter it - a good opportunity for a buddy sniper to hit the head! If it doesn't hit a player, it acts as deployable cover!
Spoke Bomb: This device also exists in EVE lore. Designed for breaching, this sticky grenade has a core made out of pure Tritanium, which is arranged into bicycle-like spokes. When the grenade exposes the core to air, the Tritanium explosively re-arranges its structure into a large circle of more benign metal, framing a hole made in whatever material was unfortunate enough to next to the bomb. Not exactly non-lethal, but it's not intended to be used on a human anyway (*wink* *nod*). |

Thruster Cannon - aka 'The Bouncer' An antique piece of zero-g mining/salvage equipment that received a Minmatar makeover. The thrusters were originally used to move large rocks/chunks of wreckage; simply attach to the object and activate the thruster. Refuel and repeat. Not very efficient, but cheap. Mordern technology has rendered them obsolete for their intended use, but an inventive Minmatar found a way it could be weaponized. The thrusters have been given the same homing capabilities of AV grenades and are dumbfired from a modified mass driver (slightly larger, with three large chambers). Once they attach to a surface the thrusters ignite. They are strong enough to change the direction a vehicle is traveling, either making them lose control or even bringing them to a stop. They have also been used to forcibly remove infantry, which is how it earned it's nickname. An incindent involving a merc irritated with redzone snipers on his team has lead to experiments in using the cannon to quickly move friendly infantry and vehicles across the battlefield. But while inertial dampeners can be activated during 'flight', there is still a serious risk of collision damage with obstructions, so progress has been slow. |

Repulse Cannon:
A focusing and miniaturization of forcefield technologies that protect everything from starbases to dropsuits, the Repulse Cannon was intially designed for non-lethal riot control.
When fired it generates a force field wave across its horizontally wide muzzle and fires that wave from its muzzle in a cone pattern that loses cohesion with distance. Although relatively short ranged the wave can knock rioters off their feet from the sudden impact. The system must then recharge and generate a new force waveform before firing again.
Note: Don't be standing on something tall, like a building, if you are hit by a Repulse - the knockback effect taking you off your feet, and off the building, can be quite ugly for the unprepared. |

Sounds like a perfect weapon for the trolls!
"Therapist" insanity simulator gun: As any refugee will tell you, the Blood Raiders are masters of torture. They have taken the Amarrian art and perfected it, all in the name of extracting blood for their twisted rituals. That is why they were pleased to no end by this most recent invention.
This "weapon" is nothing more than a simple "sound-laser" speaker, that is only audible to the person it's aimed at. Harmless, right? Wrong. The audio recording is designed to sound like frenzied voices in the victim's head, driving the unfortunate soul crazy - and reducing their combat effectiveness. Of course, the weapon is sufficiently long-range that the transmitting device isn't visible to the victim either. Most maddening of all? The voices come in as audio chat to the player, driving them insane too! That's right, you may need a therapist after being on the receiving end of this weapon, hence the nickname.
Now I just need a lengthy monologue to give just before I kill the good guy, and I will have fully turned to the Dark Side. |
