Raven: The cloth is all white but all the armor plates and helmet are black, with white LED lighting around the sides of the faceplate.
SVER: The cloth is brown on the legs with a slightly lighter brown on the torso. The piping around the armor and down the sides of the legs is a bright orange. The strapping over shoulder and across the chest is white. The mask is brown with a glowing orange eye. Honestly it looks a little goofy, I think the orange is a little bright for my taste, but some people may like it.
The suits are BPOs so they're unlimited and have the same stats as the Type-I variants. Oh also the Sever suit gets a x10 damage multiplier and built in MP3 player that plays Apocalyptica when you get a kill streak (Kidding of course)
how awesome the sever suit would be...
i hope the valor suit comes with smoke grenades |

so long as it's low end gear it's fairly harmless.
though i suppose a MORE harmless way to do it would have been to make them equal to the MILITIA tier suits instead of equal to the standard tier.
those of us who bought them really bought them for nostalgia and looks, so we woulda bought them even if they were just reskinned militia suits. but we are also getting potential utility in the fact that it IS a bpo and it IS better than militia.
then again, so is the dragonfly suit? and the toxin smg? and nobody lost their **** over that? so how bad is this REALLY? |

I think one of the reasons the Dragonfly and other AU gear don't cause an uprising is because there are plenty of equivalent for ISK. I was using a few AU items a while back and while it gave me some small advantages, I just decided that I didn't want to keep wasting the AU.
I kinda hope they offer skins for dropsuits and vehicles as BPO, that can be applied to a fitting so even proto gear can look the same.

Well the only advantage to the BPO's in question at the moment is that they are BPO's, but they are not over powered, or broken. They just happen to be BPO's, but the trade off is you ended up paying for them with real legal government certified tender. If you chose to do so then I suppose that is on "us", or those whom do. This however is not the whole picture. Which a few of has have brought up and pointed out -- myself included. |
