Shouldn't they also see how the patch is before giving it such praise? New patch is progress, and also highlights fixes. Being negative about something you have yet to experience is completely different than being excited to try out new toys.
**** the new toys fix the gameplay first. This games release date needs to be pushed back to next year around this time! |

Funny to see that those who have never played what they call a "slow FPS" claim that it somehow takes less skill to be good in those games. In slow games you die a lot if you camp you get a vote kick and ban from a server unless it's a public server of c. though in most games you just simply get a nade in camping hole and die. |

The webifiers create some kind of energy web that tangles the target up. The fluff would let it work on infantry, it would make a scout move heavy speed if using eve's reduction. I heard they will be a grenade, so small area of effect to sprint 1/2 speed out of if they do affect dropsuits. I'm not worried to much, and I run mainly scouts. Seem to be a counter to scout circle strafe and to slow escape of vehicles from forge/swarm, nothing that game changing. Webs were very short ranged in eve, same here I'd guess. |

Webs that affect infantry speed will likely cause many a player to rage vomit all over their consoles. It's so horrible....
Needless to say, I don't like the idea. It affecting vehicles is great because as you said it'll help taking down vehicles, but on infantry? Way too iffy. |

the only other game to use this (so far as i know) was gears of war, and they implemented it to counteract the banzai shotgun charge. (most would prolly think chainsaw was the OP cqc weapon, but it wouldn't work if you'd been shot recently)
modern warfare 2 would have also benefited greatly from a system like this. commando. need i say more.
but do you all see the difference? where's the op "CHARGE!!!" CQC weapon for this to counter HERE?
of course the other side of the coin for those that say "more speed = harder to aim = more skill" is "more speed = easier to dodge bullets = less skill" so, as long as we're all playing by the same rules it's probably a wash.
i'm willing to wait and see, but i don't see the NEED for it. |

Dust is a bit more complex than that tho with objectives and a higher base requirement of teamwork. I feel those matter a lot more than in most games and having a good team with comms will have a very profound effect on who is considered good. Im speaking of meta game and skirmish here. Ambush and the arena are outside of my points. You can have the greatest communication in the world, but if you can't shoot **** you lose it's been proven time and time again. Further more there is nothing complex about objective based game modes where you press "O" to hack a point and wait for it to turn to your favor.
I haven't played dust that much, waiting for M&KB update, but regarding the fast movement etc, sure, go play quake if you want speed, accept dust for what it is.
Regarding the slow down when shot thing, maybe there's a skillbook for it? upgrade armor etc. |

I would think it would be like a gun of sorts

I'm not even sure how you'd get webs to affect people anyway. well, if they end up only affecting vehicles youll be happy then. simple fact of the matter is webifiers are an integral part of EW, which is an integral part of what CCp is trying to do.
EWAR isn't any more integral than back stabbing. It's an option but isn't integral. Often it's the best option, but in an FPS EWAR will only get you so far. I agree, my 10 ISK is on web nades, and that they should only effect vehicles. Lurch can you link to info on capacitors for tanks? I don't think they're comming... |

I am really starting to see some people are just very hypocritical in this forum! |
