Just as the title entertains -- what are you playing during the downtime?
I am hoping this thread will also help to foster a sense of community here. While we do not have "grouping", or even basic corporation functionality yet in Dust514, other games do. Hopefully we may even be able to get together, and play games we may share or have in common.
I find myself on Steam sometimes, or playing games such as --
SOCOM: ConfrontationWarhawkStarhawkTeam Fortress2 Or even playing older games all whenever I find some time to play. I just listed some of the few "online" multiplayer.
Also anyone else try out SLENDER? Fantastic. Even incomplete. I really hope to see Valve pick up this title and put it on Steam. Would be nice. Anyone who does not know SLENDER is an upcoming indie title about Slender Man and the mythos surrounding him. It would be cool to see some Marble Hornet fans. I never hardcore into following everything, but have been watching it as they come out when I can. Also cannot wait to hear more about Counter Strike: Global Offensive. I used to play a lot of KILLZONE2, and other various multiplayer titles. Ha-ha. Well anyway.
Ps. You do not have to list only multiplayer titles. Just try to keep it civil in here everyone. I hope this does not get locked infact. |

It'd be cool if we could get some of the Dust crowd over to MAG, you can get the full client free on the PSN Store, just caps out at level 8. Perhaps all these people trying to start Corps pre-release could get some tactical practice in before we get grouping in Dust? Just a thought.
I would love to see MAG have some activity again, even if only for a few days. |

I really thought Red Dead Redemption's online zombie mode was pretty well done. I also enjoyed playing what I did of it. The ending was amazing though. As for MAG I loved MAG, but the numbers are bad unless you play sabotage. Personally if you have about eight dollars to spare go pick it up again at GameStop.
Infact what are the numbers like anymore on MAG? Last time I was on they were bad enough sadly. |

On PS3: - Dark Souls - lil bit of Lara Croft (free PS+) - lil bit of first Sly Cooper remake (free PS+) - lil bit of MK ( $20 off PS+)
On PC: - BF3 - Skyrim - CS:GO - lil bit of F2Ps
Mainly on these forums though cause I have an itch and the only thing that will cure it is more DUST!
Edit: Haven't put MAG in for a minute but a lot of people have been trying to get teamwork worked out over there. |

Played about 5 matches earlier today. All of the bigger modes are still empty. Only sabo and supression have the numbers. That...and in every game, there will at least be 3 pre-teens in your squad. Pretty annoying really... |

They aren't great but Sabotage and Suppression queue up in 2-3 minutes, once in a while a game of Acquisition will launch. Actually, a couple weeks ago there was a game of Domination going on between SVER and Raven (Clan battle maybe?), Valor is pretty small now compared to SVER and Raven. The client is free on PSN if you don't mind being capped out at level 8, which really isn't a big deal, in a game of Dom there are enough dead bodies to take a decent gun from.
Pezz IsDank wrote:Probably nothing, still got MAG in mint condition but no will to play it. I have MAG, would love to play if we could gather up a group.
Edit: If I start up a thread for us Dust Bunnies to gather in MAG, will anybody gather on it? I can set up a list of PSN user names / Dust names of players that would like to get together and play MAG. I would check it and update the list as new people listed themselves. Worth it? |

Hm. I'd play sabo, but acquisition was my favorite always.
I wish I could afford to play EVE Online not enough luxury funds to know if I could afford the subscription every month sadly, but I really doubt I would have the time I wanted to play.
How is Counter Strike: Global Offensive? I played the first Tribes game and enjoyed it. I may pick it up on Steam seeing how it is free. Not sure yet though, and I would love to play some DayZ! I love zombie games, but even when ARMAII was discounted I missed it at the seventeen dollar price. I would gladly have taken a hit for that. I'm waiting for the Dawngaurd expansion DLC to come out before I pour more hours into The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I managed (somehow) to put three hundred in on just my main file. Mostly over the holidays, and release. I remember when The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind came out. Man! I had time to play back then. I think I thrust in a thousand plus hours over a several years on just one file alone. The days before a job. Ha-ha. I miss them.
Battlefield3 would have loved to get in on that, but ElectronicArts has upset me too much in the past couple years. Also they already announced Battlefield4 slated for late next year and access to the [beta] (demo!) if you pre-order the Medal of Honor: Warfighter game. So yeah. That is sad and lame. I feel bad for the series. EA is determined to ruin it.
Awsome to see whatevery is playing though. I'm surprised to see no SOCOM vets besides myself? Also I really could use my Dust fix. XD |

Yeah the BF and CoD series are pretty much shovelware at this point. I don't know why they don't just call them BF 2012 or CoD 2012 at this point since they seem to release one a year now. |

Battlefield 3 is commercialized, not that great, and very flashy... But that does not speak for the rest of the Battlefield franchise. BFBC2 was a phenomenal game, I loved every minute spent on that. Battlefield 3 is just annoying because it was hyped up so much, everyone was so excited, and EA went "Oh yeah, this game is completely broken... Can we have $60 for it and another $20 every time we come out with a couple new maps?". |

CS:GO is sooooo nostalgic! Has better graphics, little different routes made in classic maps, new gear (moltov cocktail) and tracers. Funny the forums are kind of like these with people wanting things one way others wanting them another and a lot of bickering. Talk about strict gun game, good game and cant wait for PSN release!
BF3 has kinda lost its pzazz for me but fun to jump in and blow stuff up. And ya number 4 next year WTF is this COD??? DUST best not mess their game up, doing pretty good so far.
ARMA III on STEAM does look tasty, especially with DayZ. |

That actually sums up what I usually hear about Battlefield3 from most Battlefield veterans. I have not played since Battlefield2 to be honest. I wish I had gotten into atleast Battlefield: Bad Company2. I do hear nothing, but remarkable things though. |

Agreed. Especially on the ARMAII bundle so you can play DayZ.
As for Battlefield? Well the argument can be made that they do tend to release some form of Battlefield title every couple of years, but the downtime between Battlefield2, and Battlefield3 was a long span of time over seven years infact. However the release of Battlefield4 is just too soon. I'm personally done with Call of Duty until they release the proper sucessor Call of Duty5. It's been five years going on six now since the release of Call of Duty4. Too bad the hacking, and cheating has killed what left of Call of Duty there is. I'm sort of tired of the fresh coat of paint aspect. I loved Call of Duty: World at War. Best title in my opinion, and only did everything right (minus tanks.) Cheaters killed that title too. |

I am starting a list to keep track of Dust Bunnies that would like to gather in MAG during the downtime, maybe we can get a sizable community started? However, I cannot insert a link to the thread I started... I copied the address from the address bar, then tried to paste it here. Upon trying to post it said "Post cannot contain HTML" so unfortunately I cannot link you guys to it.. |

BF3 was a huge let down imo, I'm sure on PC it was great but after 100 hours of the console version it wore off quickly. Would have been so much better if consoles could support having as many people playing those maps as they were designed for. CS:GO looks excellent, can't wait for that. Wish more developers would basically remake some of the great older games, just give them better graphics but leave the excellent core gameplay that made them great.
Had some good times with old COD and socom, would be excellent to see them remade and not ruined. |

Had some good times with old COD and socom, would be excellent to see them remade and not ruined. BF3 wouldn't have been that bad without all the severe issues at launch, not to mention the fact that they never fixed 90% of them. And on top of that they made a bunch of stupid gameplay changes to make it easier. They even reduced fall damage to cater to the CoD players that didn't jumping off a 3 story building with 100lb's of kit should kill them, or even break their legs - as if the fall damage was lenient enough already. |

I picked up Fable 3 on PC during the sale the other day, since I'm selling my Xbox and Fable doesn't work on PS3.. but I have Skyrim and Diablo 3 to beat, along with some other stuff.. so I don't know when I'll ever beat it.. it was just the only Xbox game I would miss.
I may fire up EVE again.. if only to get my skills going and to pull the scraps of my eve-ly posessions I was able to salvage back to hisec after my old corp imploding, leaving me little of what I brought into the wormhole.
I debated a good while about getting the game for Day Z though. I |
