It'd be cool if we could get some of the Dust crowd over to MAG, you can get the full client free on the PSN Store, just caps out at level 8. Perhaps all these people trying to start Corps pre-release could get some tactical practice in before we get grouping in Dust? Just a thought.
I would love to see MAG have some activity again, even if only for a few days. |

I really thought Red Dead Redemption's online zombie mode was pretty well done. I also enjoyed playing what I did of it. The ending was amazing though. As for MAG I loved MAG, but the numbers are bad unless you play sabotage. Personally if you have about eight dollars to spare go pick it up again at GameStop.
Infact what are the numbers like anymore on MAG? Last time I was on they were bad enough sadly.
They aren't great but Sabotage and Suppression queue up in 2-3 minutes, once in a while a game of Acquisition will launch. Actually, a couple weeks ago there was a game of Domination going on between SVER and Raven (Clan battle maybe?), Valor is pretty small now compared to SVER and Raven. The client is free on PSN if you don't mind being capped out at level 8, which really isn't a big deal, in a game of Dom there are enough dead bodies to take a decent gun from.
Pezz IsDank wrote:Probably nothing, still got MAG in mint condition but no will to play it. I have MAG, would love to play if we could gather up a group.
Edit: If I start up a thread for us Dust Bunnies to gather in MAG, will anybody gather on it? I can set up a list of PSN user names / Dust names of players that would like to get together and play MAG. I would check it and update the list as new people listed themselves. Worth it? |

Battlefield 3 is commercialized, not that great, and very flashy... But that does not speak for the rest of the Battlefield franchise. BFBC2 was a phenomenal game, I loved every minute spent on that. Battlefield 3 is just annoying because it was hyped up so much, everyone was so excited, and EA went "Oh yeah, this game is completely broken... Can we have $60 for it and another $20 every time we come out with a couple new maps?". |

I have not played since Battlefield2 to be honest. I wish I had gotten into atleast Battlefield: Bad Company2. I do hear nothing, but remarkable things though.
Oh it was wonderful! The Sauga spamming, oh man! I'm so sorry you never got to experience it :'( |

I am starting a list to keep track of Dust Bunnies that would like to gather in MAG during the downtime, maybe we can get a sizable community started? However, I cannot insert a link to the thread I started... I copied the address from the address bar, then tried to paste it here. Upon trying to post it said "Post cannot contain HTML" so unfortunately I cannot link you guys to it.. |

Pezz IsDank wrote:BF3 was a huge let down imo, I'm sure on PC it was great but after 100 hours of the console version it wore off quickly. Would have been so much better if consoles could support having as many people playing those maps as they were designed for. CS:GO looks excellent, can't wait for that. Wish more developers would basically remake some of the great older games, just give them better graphics but leave the excellent core gameplay that made them great.
Had some good times with old COD and socom, would be excellent to see them remade and not ruined. BF3 wouldn't have been that bad without all the severe issues at launch, not to mention the fact that they never fixed 90% of them. And on top of that they made a bunch of stupid gameplay changes to make it easier. They even reduced fall damage to cater to the CoD players that didn't jumping off a 3 story building with 100lb's of kit should kill them, or even break their legs - as if the fall damage was lenient enough already. |

The PC version is alright, and I cannot comment on the Xbox 360 version as I've never played it, but it is down right awful on PS3. |

Sorry for not being to post. I was in chat, and playing SLENDER! Lord of gaming do I love that game! I love being scared, and I love horror. That game is a must for anyone wanting something unique! Also FREE! Mm. Free...
Anyway I want to ask -- What are the numbers like for Battlefield: Bad Company2? I may try to pick it up for PlayStation3, or whatever. Maybe. (><)
I think it still has about 5,000 players, but that might be an old number. I had it for Xbox 360 and I haven't had Xbox Live in a couple years. If anyone can find out if it still has a decent player base, I might drop the $20 on it. |

My input lag is so bad it's like trying to aim from inside a jello cube. Honesty, I see somebody walking out in the open and I'm like "oh, I would like to aim at them" and the game is like "sorry, what was that? I wasn't listening". Seriously, the game is unplayable. Dust and CoD respond perfectly (dead zones in Dust are annoying but w/e), even the BF3 beta response was flawless. But then I got the full game and... well... I played it probably less than 10 hours. I outright gave up. The controls are so sluggish I can hardly even get kills with a shot gun. I was very, very disappointed. |

mini rehak wrote:what kind of t.v and video cables are you using. the first time i played on the ps3 i was using it with VGI cables and on an analog T.V (don't ask why) and i had horrible input lag, but i switched to a 1080p tv with a HDMI cable and i play flawlessly and they did have patches that took away input lag for some players
1080p Vizio 120hz HDMI. The game only runs at 720p 60z, and I have the most disgusting input lag I have ever experienced. My TV has a "Game Mode" that turns off certain post processing functions to increase response time (I believe it is a 5ms response) and with that on, the lag is atrocious - you wouldn't believe it without that on. Even in Game Mode, it has more lag than if i turn off Game Mode in other games. Truly is a let down.
As it turns out I have similar lag on other games (Mirrors Edge, Uncharted 2, Red Dead Redemption) but it isn't such a game breaker in those games because the don't require twitchy reactions, or quite as much target tracking.
It could be that my processor is damaged (not 100% sure about this, but download games tend to have very... random frame rates. Someone at GameStop suggested that this might be the issue) but I don't think thats the cause as TONS of other players are experiencing the same lag. |

Pezz IsDank wrote:Just to add to it... 1. Now that people own servers the game is even more irritating, when I group up with my cousin and we join a clan server and we do well one of us almost always gets banned from the server out of nowhere. Great, giving people the ability to kick any challenge that comes so they can always be on the winning team and pad their stats. 2. It's a PC game ported to console, it was made with PC in mind, those maps were made for a bigger number of players than consoles can support. So with a lower player cap the game becomes even more extremely vehicle heavy. I can't imagine it being as bad on PC with higher player counts, that's a lot of potential engineers focusing on the same amount of tanks. I would expect it to be more focused on infantry play which is good imo. I like vehicles in my shooters but I like the bulk of it to be infantry based, kind of like MAG.. it had some vehicles but it wasn't super vehicle heavy. A good mix. 3. The graphics are horrible imo, I don't understand why some people think it's amazing.. it's just blurry and gives me a headache. Every time I start the game I feel like I'm going to have a seizure. Oh and lol at how long it took them to fix comms on PS3, by the time they finally did that I was burnt out on it. What developer screws up on comms and takes that long to fix after having so much hype? Such fail. I expect bad company 3 (assuming they make it) will be much better than BF3 was.
The graphics are below par because the PS3 cannot handle the beautiful antialiasing that can be enabled on PC. Both of my brothers have it on PC and it looks great, it just isn't incredibly fun. |

I have the 160GB Slim, got it February 2011. Not sure exactly what the model number is, but it definitely isn't a phat. I've downloaded the latest 2 patches, still have atrocious lag. |

Still. I have it sitting next to me as a sign of what Sony used to mean before it started to suck balls. I paid the full retail price, and ended up spending seven hundred on release. Took me a half a year to save up for that baby. Lasted me almost two years in, and when it died I managed to get a nice eighty gig from K-Mart. Which I still have actually. George Forman grills > Reboot PS3. I'm actually looking foward to the "true slim's" release though. They have sixteen gig model that is suppose to (by rumor) break the hundred dollar entry fee level!
