Just as the title entertains -- what are you playing during the downtime?
I am hoping this thread will also help to foster a sense of community here. While we do not have "grouping", or even basic corporation functionality yet in Dust514, other games do. Hopefully we may even be able to get together, and play games we may share or have in common.
I find myself on Steam sometimes, or playing games such as --
SOCOM: ConfrontationWarhawkStarhawkTeam Fortress2 Or even playing older games all whenever I find some time to play. I just listed some of the few "online" multiplayer.
Also anyone else try out SLENDER? Fantastic. Even incomplete. I really hope to see Valve pick up this title and put it on Steam. Would be nice. Anyone who does not know SLENDER is an upcoming indie title about Slender Man and the mythos surrounding him. It would be cool to see some Marble Hornet fans. I never hardcore into following everything, but have been watching it as they come out when I can. Also cannot wait to hear more about Counter Strike: Global Offensive. I used to play a lot of KILLZONE2, and other various multiplayer titles. Ha-ha. Well anyway.
Ps. You do not have to list only multiplayer titles. Just try to keep it civil in here everyone. I hope this does not get locked infact. |

I really thought Red Dead Redemption's online zombie mode was pretty well done. I also enjoyed playing what I did of it. The ending was amazing though. As for MAG I loved MAG, but the numbers are bad unless you play sabotage. Personally if you have about eight dollars to spare go pick it up again at GameStop.
Infact what are the numbers like anymore on MAG? Last time I was on they were bad enough sadly. |

Hm. I'd play sabo, but acquisition was my favorite always.
I wish I could afford to play EVE Online not enough luxury funds to know if I could afford the subscription every month sadly, but I really doubt I would have the time I wanted to play.
How is Counter Strike: Global Offensive? I played the first Tribes game and enjoyed it. I may pick it up on Steam seeing how it is free. Not sure yet though, and I would love to play some DayZ! I love zombie games, but even when ARMAII was discounted I missed it at the seventeen dollar price. I would gladly have taken a hit for that. I'm waiting for the Dawngaurd expansion DLC to come out before I pour more hours into The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I managed (somehow) to put three hundred in on just my main file. Mostly over the holidays, and release. I remember when The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind came out. Man! I had time to play back then. I think I thrust in a thousand plus hours over a several years on just one file alone. The days before a job. Ha-ha. I miss them.
Battlefield3 would have loved to get in on that, but ElectronicArts has upset me too much in the past couple years. Also they already announced Battlefield4 slated for late next year and access to the [beta] (demo!) if you pre-order the Medal of Honor: Warfighter game. So yeah. That is sad and lame. I feel bad for the series. EA is determined to ruin it.
Awsome to see whatevery is playing though. I'm surprised to see no SOCOM vets besides myself? Also I really could use my Dust fix. XD |

I don't know why they don't just call them BF 2012 or CoD 2012 at this point since they seem to release one a year now. Battlefield 3 is commercialized, not that great, and very flashy... But that does not speak for the rest of the Battlefield franchise. BFBC2 was a phenomenal game, I loved every minute spent on that. Battlefield 3 is just annoying because it was hyped up so much, everyone was so excited, and EA went "Oh yeah, this game is completely broken... Can we have $60 for it and another $20 every time we come out with a couple new maps?".
That actually sums up what I usually hear about Battlefield3 from most Battlefield veterans. I have not played since Battlefield2 to be honest. I wish I had gotten into atleast Battlefield: Bad Company2. I do hear nothing, but remarkable things though. |

BF3 has kinda lost its pzazz for me but fun to jump in and blow stuff up. And ya number 4 next year WTF is this COD??? DUST best not mess their game up, doing pretty good so far.
ARMA III on STEAM does look tasty, especially with DayZ.
Agreed. Especially on the ARMAII bundle so you can play DayZ.
As for Battlefield? Well the argument can be made that they do tend to release some form of Battlefield title every couple of years, but the downtime between Battlefield2, and Battlefield3 was a long span of time over seven years infact. However the release of Battlefield4 is just too soon. I'm personally done with Call of Duty until they release the proper sucessor Call of Duty5. It's been five years going on six now since the release of Call of Duty4. Too bad the hacking, and cheating has killed what left of Call of Duty there is. I'm sort of tired of the fresh coat of paint aspect. I loved Call of Duty: World at War. Best title in my opinion, and only did everything right (minus tanks.) Cheaters killed that title too. |

Sorry for not being to post. I was in chat, and playing SLENDER! Lord of gaming do I love that game! I love being scared, and I love horror. That game is a must for anyone wanting something unique! Also FREE! Mm. Free...
Anyway I want to ask -- What are the numbers like for Battlefield: Bad Company2? I may try to pick it up for PlayStation3, or whatever. Maybe. (><) |

Have you tried to go into your controller options and see if their is a "deadzone" feature? SOCOM: Confrontation actually allows you to adjust it yourself if you want. |

Well to be fair the only vehicles in MAG you can opperate are essentially APC (Armored Personel Carrier) and the helicopters, gunner position. Which honestly I do not really believe many people minded. MAG did it right, and it worked. I still say what hurt MAG was Sony and Zipper. The community just hindered it with it's bickering. Zipper choosing to listen and nerfing things without really testing them for falsehood, and falsified information was just a rookie mistake on their part.

Actually I still have my original week one phatty! Sixty gig. Unfortunetly! Sony used a cheap thermal paste and my processor burned up.
- BROOKLYN RAGE! -
Still. I have it sitting next to me as a sign of what Sony used to mean before it started to suck balls. I paid the full retail price, and ended up spending seven hundred on release. Took me a half a year to save up for that baby. Lasted me almost two years in, and when it died I managed to get a nice eighty gig from K-Mart. Which I still have actually. George Forman grills > Reboot PS3. I'm actually looking foward to the "true slim's" release though. They have sixteen gig model that is suppose to (by rumor) break the hundred dollar entry fee level! |

I absolutly love Final Fantasy. Only title I really did not enjoy the most (atleast compared to all of them)? Final Fantasy V. It was not a bad game at all. Just compared to IV, or VI? It's lack luster. Infact it is probably one of the most toned down Final Fantasy titles ever produced. Again. Not a bad game. I just found it to be a bit sub-dued? Bart, tried though. Both original Tactics, and the remake were fantastic though! Epic to the end, and the remake only got better.
Mass Effect? Well lets just say the first was fantastic, the second was good, and the third? Let us just forget it exsists. |

Yeah. I remember when you could install linux. Infact a friend of mine used to have one of the few PS2 linux consoles with official keyboard and mouse. Was pretty sweet, and he made a couple games too. I do not know what happened to it though. Years ago (now) we were devastated in my area by hurricane Charlie. So I am unsure if he lost it, sold it or has it hidden away some where in storage. Man I can remember a good time when Sony used to encourage homebrew. PlayStationX black console, PS2Linux, and the PlayStation3 OS installer all great. I wish I had the skill to make my own games sometime. Alas while I am very creative, and an above average writter (being realistic and I hope to actually go to school for it) I just have not been able to find time to dabble in anything since the old HTLM days. (o.o)
Some people are great at it. I'm unsure how I would fair to be honest. I have a better business sense though then I do with actual code writing. XD Oh the irony. |

Hey! While you are here can I ask you a question or three? Any word on your variant of Slay ever coming to EVE Online, DUST or say even Steam? PlayStation Home sucks, and the people for the most part are what some call sexual predators. Surfice to say I dislike the atmosphere. Too immature, and annoying. Also any parting tid-bits you can spare on the upcoming build? Like say when during august? |

Hm. I have not played board games in a while. Usually if I get time to see my friends and we get together we play Magic: The Gathering online or paper, or we really get into a good game of Biohazard: Deck Building Game. Still. Nice list of games. |
