Greetings,
Let me preface my request by saying that I don't use, nor do I plan to use, heavy suits. My reaction speeds are simply too slow to make them useful.
I was just looking at a thread that showed all of the slot layouts for different suits and I saw what I consider a balance issue with the heavy suits. Heavy suits should not have a sidearm slot. Instead they should have a heavy weapon slot and a light weapon slot. Yes, they would be capable of using a sidearm in the light slot, but they could opt to go with an AR instead.
CPU / PG would have to be adjusted just a bit to compensate, but this change would make the heavy suit far more versatile without impacting any other suit.

Ditch the sidearm and replace it with equipment slot. |

i think i would be in favor of this, obviously would need to be tested...
however, I think the PG & CPU should stay at their current level and force the heavy to skill up PG & CPU in order to use a light weapon. This would give more balance as not all heavies would have the CPU & PG to get an light weapon as some may choose to skill up other things.

I'm a heavy user of the heavy dropsuit (no pun intended) and this seems like a really bad idea to me. If you can get good with them, the heavy suits are lethal. The HMGS are underpowered but the suit itself isn't, if you give me a second AR then God have mercy on your souls. |

I'd rather trade a high slot for another low slot to give me extra armour plates. There's nothing wrong with having a forge/smg combo. If you let me run around with a forge and an assault rifle, then that's a bit overpowered as it gives me great anti-vehicle and anti-infantry in one fitting. |

I would swap the grenade slot for an equipment slot on a Heavy Suit - It would enable me to carry nanohives and thereby reload my heavy weapon without need to get to a suppy station after only a few bursts of fire on targets |

An AR is not the way to go. By the time we overheat or run out of ammo an SMG is the perfect finishing tool! Aww the sound of that greatful plus 50 pop. |
