The dropsuit skills unlocked with the 'Dropsuit Command' skill increase stats and unlock module usage:
One increases max stamina & allows access to max stam modules; another increases stamina regen and allow access to stam regen modules; and finally 'Mobility' allows access to sprint modules.
Why does the 'Mobility' skill not increase movement speed, along with unlocking module access for sprint speed? Increasing basic move/juke speed with this skill, or even modules, would be yet another vein of specialization for frontline fighters.

I could swear at one point it did exactly what you mention. I could be wrong, maybe I just assumed since it makes perfect sense.
I completely support your request, and will fight an orphan on his birthday with you to see that this gets implemented into the fame. |

agreed...and I support your initial argument in that it would be great if they had both a skill that increase based movement speed as well and a module that could be added on at a cost to CPU/PG |

I was extremely surprised to notice that the mobility skill didn't give a bonus to speed, it looks rather strange right now, you would think that a better understanding of movement would help you to move faster. |

Greetings,

That has always bothered me as well, though I suspect CCP has done it this way for a reason... Not sure what that reason is, but when you look at the speeds you can run while hopped up on complex, i have a suspicion... L5 mobility and 3x complex kinetics could make you a speed tank / capture daemon from hell.

The base movement speed should at least be affected by skill- I can see if adjusted with modules it possibly getting out of hand. |

Disagree, speed and quickness isn't something you can train. Improving the technology (modules) on the dropsuit to be faster sure but training won't improve speed. Training to improve endurance now that makes sense. |

I agree but the skill should only provide so much of a boost. Nothing crazy but enough to feel it.
Perhaps two skills: An Athletics skill for general movement and a Sprinting skill for adds to sprint speed. |

Dear lord,
Please give me more mobility so I can dodge every damn bullet and bunnyhop like a demigod...
-> more speed will make this game seem like everyone is The Flash. I have enough trouble trying to kill you speed monsters. |

I would tend to say that it would only make sense to get a movement speed bonus from this skill. BUT, it would allow heavies to compensate their speed and this could be scary lol.
In fact, this movement speed bonus should provided by the skill "Scout dropsuit". Something like +3% per level that would apply only when using the scout suit |

IF they implement something like this (and they probably will), I hope the movement speed buffs are small enough not to imbalance the different suit types.
1 - 3% at most, please. |

Definitely needs to happen. It won't upset the different dropsuit types because it's available for all 3.
If you want to dump SP into making your fat man jog a little faster, then go for it. My scout can too.
1-2% per level, 5-10% total would be acceptable.
I'm not a fan of skills that don't do any stat boosting and just unlock stuff. |

I know Protoman would LOVE for this to be implemented. Honestly, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to do this. It makes sense that such a skill should allow you to increase your agility. I guess you could kind of think of it like the Evasive Maneuvering skill in EVE, except it actually lets you do that, rather than just giving a turning speed bonus to all your ships. |

anyway, you're exactly right. why do we want to make the guys who are already fast, even faster? there are even some heavies i've seen juking around like assualt suits, idk how. but the same, i dont want it. some people can already dodge every bullet you shoot at them, somehow, i dont want to make them even more "unkillable"
edit: not saying i wouldn't like to be faster or dont like this idea. i do, however, the game in its current state, would make more people unkillable |

I'm not necessarily advocating a walk speed module- just that the skill follows the pattern of increasing a base ability as well as unlocking modules. Seems to be natural skill aspect compared to its peers- if extra speed is game breaking at 5%/lvl reduce to 3% or 2%/lvl |

Tennis players are more agile because they train to be more agile.

Exactly- don't have to increase 'move' speed and 'sprint' speed with same skill or module- they are very different from either 'lore' or realism standpoint and gameplay based aspects are different as well between sprinting and moving fast. I just posit we allow either a skill or a module to affect move speed for further depth. It's all about options. |

Scout + general movement speed module = frustration for everyone else.
What they need to be doing is finding any reason at all for the stamina biotics. Does anyone ever use them? I've never had any kind of combat stamina problem. |

Stamina Recharge is useful for Scouts who are focused on high mobility. It's useful if you want to make yourself a hard target against another Scout or an Assault, but it's particularly good to keep up high speed when you're moving from one objective to the next. |

More options are always better- People find unique and new 'Fad' fits in eve even when no new modules are released. People come up with new viable combinations of fits that work as fleets. I am always in favor of more options- with caution towards game-breaking ones. |

So if we narrow it down to sprint speed with modules only, move speed with skill only- can we avoid gamebreaking-ness? |
