Two or three guys with tier two or three assault rifles (especially breaches) can take down a tank, or for that matter ANY vehicle, in a matter of a few seconds. This was impossible in the prior build, so I'm not sure why it's in now.
Seriously hoping that this is a legitimate bug or mistake in the code, and not intentional.
Edit: I've even tested this myself. It's frequently more reliable than grabbing a weapon actually intended for anti-vehicle combat. |

Unlike the previous Build, alll these tanks you see on the field are Militia Tanks......thus they are squishy, but I'm sure some tankers out there have the shiny ones too. Dare ya to try killing it with a Creodrone lol. |

lol yes knowing most of these tanks are real easy to kill I jump on top and start firing away makes it real hard to kill me with the nice big gun that can't aim at it's self. MU HA HA HA HA HA. Next step is remote explosives so I can jump on top plant jump off run detonate and watch the fireworks. |

I've had to struggle to get my armour repairer activated in time when a couple of enemies attack with assault riffles. Even the Heavy machine guns does less damage to me. And I'm not talking about the Militia tanks either, as while they are squishy, they are not that much worse off.
I'd say there ought to be a lower damage limit on vehicles, below which the damage applies diminishes dramatically.
For instance (will look weird, as certain characters are not allowed)
if dmg lessThan dmgThreshold { dmg = dmg * (dmg/dmgThreshold) }
This will mean that if for example the dmgThreshold is 200, and dmg is 100, only 50 will be applied. if dmg is 199, then 198 dmg will be applied.be. Full damage is applied at 200 and above. |

This is getting ridiculous!
2-3 guys with breach and militia assault riffles from the sound of it, easily eats up my shield and then fairly easily my tank armour.
Realistically they should not be able to even touch the armour, but it's a game, so some allowances for this may be in order. However, a Surya, with even just passive armour tank should not be this concerned by those "AV" assault rifles. |

honestly, mixed feelings about this
most shooters have it so that small arms don't even touch a tank. but the way i look at it is imagine a frigate shooting a titan.
can hit it well, but isn't gonna do much damage.
i think that a concentrated assault by several dudes with small arms against an undefended tank could really be something to be taken seriously. or at least make the driver think twice.
i don't have an upgraded tank myself, so i can't attest to if its a problem with those, but this is just my .02 |

I like that assault rifles can harm vehicles, especially with the availability of militia vehicles that are supposed to be weak anyway. I do agree assault rifles should do less damage to vehicles of higher grades. |

Last patch, the vehicles took 20% damage from small arms natively, except in a weak spot where they took 200% damage. CCP seems to have accidentally removed this feature and now weapons do 100% damage everywhere. So if you are shooting for the weak spot things got harder. If you are just shooting from any angle, things got significantly more powerful.
Some weapons have a higher AV multiplier by design, but I haven't tested to confirm how this works and where you need to aim them in this build. |

Assault Rifles can kill MILITIA tanks, which are effectively made out of cardboard. No really, they are.
And real tank will laugh at people shooting them with small arms and quickly vaporize them instantly. Its hilarious watching people with ARs and SMGs chase around my Marauder shooting at it, as my passive shields still recharge faster than than they can hurt me.
Assume that militia vehicles are designed to give people a little taste of vehicular combat, but trying to use them in a legitimate firefight will end badly every single time. |

The heavy machine gun was never designed to go against tanks, its specifically anti-infantry.
The Forge Gun however is designed to fight tanks, and trust me, it works very well even in this build.
And if you're complaining about the heavy's weak armor, upgrade to standard, the Militia specifically got its armor nerfed. |

It's nothing to worry about. I take more damage from accidentally clipping a wall at low speeds than ARs do. If I'm ever running away from your AR/SMG, it's not you, it's because something bigger shot me. If that something bigger isn't present, I'm going to sit there and railgun you in return, or let my passengers send missiles at your face.
Anti-infantry grenades are negligible too. I ignore them when I see them bounce across my tank. |

This is false. I have been spawning Gunlogies for a while now and have been killed by militia assult rifles many times. I have a very expensive fit on my tank and forge guns dont hurt me to much. But, When someone attacks me with a rifle my 4k shields dissapear almost instantley.. I dont think this is right seeing my tank costs 200k.. And if this happens with my sage which i will be in very soon, I will have confirmed that its not just militia.. |

i dont drive a tank but use a heavy dropsuit and i'm getting pretty damned tired of insta-dying to militia assault rifles, it should take over 30 direct hits to take me out but i go down in about 6! That rifle needs sorting out! |

Dont use militia tanks. I chuckle everytime infantry run at my sagaris shooting it with an AR only to die in a fire to missiles or a railgun blast as i sit and shrug of their puny rounds.
Any of the other tanks apart from Militia should take multiple hits from swarms/forge guns to take down, and be completly able to shrug of small arms fire. |

People die in other tanks because you cannot tell them a part as it is, so only way to test if it's easily killable militia or the real deal is to shoot it. Hell. I've killed some militia tanks even with my sniper rifle and SMG, militia stuff dies surprisingly fast with a charge rifle and good skills. Speaking of vehicles, nothing more satisfying then getting a head shot on a gunner in LAV. |

Well no offense, but expensive does not mean its actually good. I've never had an issue with small arm fire, either with Standard HAVs or Marauders. What sort of fit do you have? Because you should be able to turn and laugh and people shooting you with ARs even with the glitch in the small arm damage. |
