Somehow, a recent thread made me wonder who was the most hated CPM of all time.
So who do you think the most hated CPM of all time is? Of course at this point, it really doesn't matter but I saw an opportunity for discussion that I had to take.
I have my thoughts but I will wait for a few replies.

Really now, the CPM were instrumental players in the former game known as Dust. I'm glad we had a moderators liaison between the creators. I don't recall all specifics or names, but I do think they overall did a bang up job for us. Was always a bit jelly of their workload lol excuse and inside dev knowledge they had access to.
If I have anything against CPM members I would say I didn't see them on the battlefield much. We regular players players were very attuned to how the game really was, and what coulda shoulda been fixed.

No naming or shaming please, unless you work here. Most liked;) No not me, that other guy. CPM should have no remorse in at least trying to help this game. I gave money and feed back where I could afford. That's all I have.

Well, you do realize that that's what they were told up until a couple weeks before the announcement right? Can't fault someone for reporting what they had been told by the devs as fact.

It seemed to me that Judge bought into the general public's view of the CPM, and when he got in and found out what the job really was, he bailed.
The CPM did not have any real Power, but they did have access to the Devs, so if they were capable of making a convincing argument, they would at least have Influence. Judge had the persuasive skills to make a difference, if he had stuck it out. He had already convinced the Dev's of stuff before he got onto the CPM. But I think he ran for CPM with unreasonable expectations, and then bailed when he learned the truth.

Just to continue the trend, I hate Judge the most because he got the devs to unnerf the swarm launcher. But they never managed to fix it, so it just became a broken nightmare for all the Dust-Flies.
I actually think that's why he left... couldn't live with himself after that.
But apart from that he was alright... Absolutely hated me though, because I had no issues strategically hovering over other pilots... Knowing full well their first reaction to being shot was to hit the after-burner and fly straight up. lololol. |

You got to get mauled and surprise buttsex in the middle of the tundra, left for dead, come back somehow, and then murder people, in order to possibly get elected. Even though your older campaigns are miles better.

I wonder if Pokey would still be as active here if he was indeed elected as CPM. Being a CPM does seem to either burn a person out or possibly discourage them by finally letting them look behind the curtain. IDK for sure as I definitely wasn't even a potential candidate for CPM. I think that was for pissing the other CPMs off and continuously pointing out seeming missteps by CCP with DUST. Other than that, I wasn't really known because I am just a trouble making alt after all.

Haha a fair point! I can imagine that being constantly pestered by players for information because CCP is rarely forthcoming with it, probably gets exhausting over time.
I know that even not being on CPM, it can become exhausting trying to deal with all of the swirling bitterness and anger in the community, so who knows how I would have fared compared to the others.
I think at the very least, while Biomassed is certainly not CCP exclusive, it does keep me engaged on some level since we force ourselves to do an episode every week no matter what (save our one episode post-christmas where we take a break)

That was despicable.

IS SUPER SERIOUS BUSINESS
And for a while the running joke was that I was the 8th CPM member for all 3 council's. Sad part is that in many instances I did far more work than certain individuals who were on CPM, so any lingering confusion from others may actually be fairly justified.
In any case I'd still be interested in a real CPM position if they ever do something like that again, but I'll settle for the 8th seat a 4th time in a row if I must.

How can we be expected to have open and honest dialogue with CPM if they can pull strings so easily, exaggerating circumstances in order to ban people they don't agree with?
