PS4 is more like PC in terms of architecture than it is the PS3. If they port to PC, there is little reason to think they won't try and put it on PS4, as that change won't take as much work. Plenty of games are on both PS4 and PC, why can't Dust be one of them? Former CEO of the Land of the BIind. Any double entendre is unintended I assure you.

It doesn't matter how large the library is, if the great majority of the games are crap, there will always be room on the PS4 for Dust (assuming that the move eliminates many of the bugs/glitches/imbalance, which is admittedly a large assumption). Mouse and Keyboard is far more precise than a controller, it's just their nature. So either you gimp M/K to a ridiculous amount making it be considered unplayable by most shooter fans on PC, or you segregate the two. If you segregate the two, that closes off and/or massively complicates any interaction with EVE, which is one of the few trump cards DUST has over other shooters, and it needs every card it can get to have a chance. There's also the problem of splitting resources, and figuring out UI and controls that work for both versions, and sometimes balance works on one platform but completely fails on another (DMR's from Battlefield 4 come to mind), etc' There's a whole lot of issues that I don't see CCP being able to tackle smoothly. Well for me then, if it is only PS4 I will not be able to play for quite some time, as I do not have disposable income at the moment...and won't for some time unfortunately, but maintaining a decent PC is a requirement of my major.... Given CCP's track record with dust, it isnt very reassuring. Please dont misunderstand me, i want the best for this game. Ive just become very jaded with CCP as a whole when it comes to dusts treatment. I am sure Rattati is doing his best with what he has available to him. The person i really question what he is doing is CCP Rouge. Where the hell has he been in all this lately? Isnt he the creative director or something? Where is there more money located? Thats right, console. You want more players? Again, console. CCP just has to be willing to spend a bit to see more money flow in. Where is there more money located? Thats right, console. You want more players? Again, console. CCP just has to be willing to spend a bit to see more money flow in. But we all know the higher ups just arent willing to do that. Show us all where pc has higher numbers than any console. 485000 +/- subscriptions for EVE per month as of last October. Did not bother to hunt down newer numbers, but you get the picture. So in what dreams do you believe that the console players are willing to spend almost $8 a month to support DUST or that there is more money on console than PC? Because its not. Initial purchase money for titles is over 95% of console revenues, and this is split between all producers of gaming titles not one company. So unless you want to pay $2000 to have dust as a title on your PS4 and convince everyone who currently owns a PS4 to do the same you are not even going to get close to the revenue PC generates for this one company alone. So no the money has not been located on the console for many years, that's why you don't see any new competitors in that market. Its an outdated concept and not a main business line any more for a reason.

Your gaming experience sounds like it was tainted by recent console releases that have been half-finished rush jobs pushed into the market to meet deadlines that were too early to begin with. I've been gaming on consoles and PC for a long time, and I remember when console games were far more stable and I only encountered bugs on PC. The fact is that if you do the job right you get stable software regardless of platform. That being said, however, you also can't deny that many bugs arise from the wide variation of hardware that PCs represent, whereas a console is a single un-changing hardware set to program for with no issues of OS-related driver errors, draw-calls getting backed up in CPU bottlenecks, or any of the other myriad issues that most of us who grew up on PCs take for granted, but more and more people don't want to waste time on. I'll always come back to CCP's original vision of a console game that brought the two sides of the "platform war" together, though.
