Indeed, I'm cut from a finer cloth, where I don't hold my tongue because space gods get antsy. And no one said the game isn't in better shape with more choices - which should of enhanced the HTFU, instead, more tears for balance. You peasants will never be pleased, and the same groups, the same people, always winning in PC regardless of what is FOTM, as it has been since the beginning. I think it's obvious where the problem lies. Adapt or die, scrub. It's an age old saying that should of never left. The game's balance isn't the problem - you scrubs unable to HTFU or Adapt or Die is. GG didn't mean good game, it meant Git Gud.

Firstly. 4 vs 1 - it doesn't matter what weapon is shooting you, you're going to die. Try adapting by not being an idiot in where you're at, adapt mean more then just suits. And you have to be the only 1 adapting to the tank? You're playing solo, complaining you can't handle everything in front of you? You're a selfish prick, sir, and CCP isn't here to cater to your every desire, pick a role. And you counter heavy + logi with jihading? I think in your own rant here you confused two ideas. But again, it's a 2 v 1 situation, if you had two people gunning down the heavy at once the rep tool does less health per second then most guns do damage, so, uh, you're just being a fool. And CCP does have shady programming, has since day one. You adapt by learning where the bugs are an avoiding them, not bash your head constantly doing them. And there's no problem with people adapting a sentinel snipe suit, wtf kinda tears is that. Big hit box + easy to scan. You got problems with this, how? lol Jumpy suits have there disadvantages too, they sacrifice 3 highs to get that ability to be of any use, they will always lack health, or give up a lot of speed to gain that health. If you want to fight these guys head on - then by all means, just don't cry when you die. You're obviously not even attempting to adapt here with there limited range of fire and actual use. There's a reason you don't see this often in PC. I agree, why play this game anymore when its littered with bad players crying for CCP to make it easier for them? It'll just lead to more depressing updates.

The other side has every advantage and strategy you guys do, whose using it the best? Whose working better together? Look at PC - where one bad player can be the reason your team lost because a position got overwhelemed and lead to too many catch ups. Are you saying in your pub games you yourselves should be able to make up for bad players? You can't, that's the issue with pubs, that's why we've wanted full team deploy in FW rather then just PC. Look at the guy you're defending, what he had to say. I broke it all down and explained how it was his approach that lead to the problem, not the game design. There's more counter vs counter play, then ever. You can't spam vehicles or any 1 weapon and suit and expect to win like you could with Cal Logi's or Type-II's. You guys have it easy now with balance. But still, the tears, and PC is more stagnant then ever because none of you are able to compete - yet you talk tough on the forums. Peasants, the lot of you. HTFU died because none of you could do it yourselves to be able to utter to another. Bask in your shame as players, and be glad CCP even looks your way.

In a game that's main designed used to be don't bring onto the field what you can't afford - CCP has catered to these peasants, enough. Risk vs Reward is almost completely gone with Apex suits. And the issue is accepted widely. The same concept was once proposed back in closed beta - got smashed. The idea of ISK not having value was disheartening, it meant the only true value of your character is SP. We wanted more in our meta. But the casuals wouldn't stand for it, and didn't understand that system prevented a lot of players from constantly going all-out. A system that only fell a part with nothing to drop ISK into - but with officer gear + trade system, there's plenty of ways to spend it now. You're right that these scrubs can't handle a good forum fight. Our weakest argument would be seen as a vile demonstration of two humans seeping themselves into the depths of hell to these people.

It's not going to be fun for everyone but to those who enjoy it DUST offers something unique that no other Shooter has. It has a level of depth, customization, and spreadsheeting that you will not find in any FPS game on the market. If I want to I can legitimately spend hours on fine tuning fittings, maximizing numbers, and trying to tweak every suit to be -just- right. Other FPS games I've played I could probably get a fitting together in ... less than 5 min, 10 if I'm lazy and never feel like I missed anything. DUST is the only game on the market that offers actual depth in fittings as far as I have experienced. The other big draw to DUST (and just about every CCP game) is that it has unparalleled community feedback being incorporated into this game. The fact that we have groups like CPM / CSM is amazing, even if you do not agree with what they may say or do. Much of the tuning and numbers in this game has come out of hours and hours of community discussion as well as entire parts of the game are largely community driven. If Powercores ever make it into the game that will be a feature that was fully put forward by players, not to mention other parts of this game that are by and large by direct player input. You may not agree that such player driven design is a good thing, and there are arguments in favor of that. To many people however this game offers a level of depth and real ability to make a difference in the game balance that no other game on the market offers. The reason for statements like HTFU and the like is because DUST and EVE are brutal games, and in the end they will only give to you what you are willing to put in. Because this game really does work like a buyers market, with competitors trying to change stock to out-due to each other. A real balance can't be struck in a game that has this many variants, especially with how maps are designed. Range weapons have a huge edge as it is with how maps are vertically placed, and where range doesn't dominate the heavy does - there's very few middle ground area's for the other weapons to find a comfy spot to engage. if CCP doesn't flat-line shield/armor, then it confuses the weapon balance even further, since shield users have less health, weapons that do extra damage against shields would need over-all less DPS - but that means against armor users weapons strong vs shield are useless, while weapons that are vs armor with higher DPS would have an easier time shredding shield. This is why you need to learn to adapt or die, HTFU, and GG. Excuses like yours are for the defeated.

I'm an old guy - started in the E3 build - and have kept up. With respect to Sota's argument, the game did feel more brutal to me a year and a half / two years ago. A lot of that came from a lack of auto aim, a lack of active scanners, and other mechanics that offer very huge bonuses nowadays. Playing with PFBHz and against big corps (of the time) like the Imps or STB, I felt more in tune with the "high skill" environment of the time. That being said, I'm an old player, and old habits die hard. For example, I have not - now or ever - skilled into active scanners. The game is just different now, and there are really high skill players and tactics for this new environment. More QQ is obviously correlated with more options because there's just more to QQ about. I would say that the current proliferation of APEX suits and Officer tier weapons is disheartening. "Back in the day", someone bringing officer tier weapons to a CB (Thales, Balacs, Krins) meant that ** was real, and you had to push yourself that extra mile to 1v1 that guy. Now, it feels like Off. weapons are more of the norm. And because these weapons are purposely OP with rarity being the balancing factor, its proliferation is disheartening. With respect to new QQ vs. Old QQ: I don't spend any time in the war room, so I don't know how the tears flow. But I do know that a lot of people in GD would have an aneurysm reading Mr. / Omnipotent Zitro or Protoman23 posts. That really was a HTFU kind of environment. I was there when the Gallente were mocked, and that's all I ever used. I remember trying to build up a Corp when I was left as the sole active member after JUST being recruited into it. I remember spending weekends practicing and putting in time with players for many of them to leave and only a few would stay. I remember losing Corp battles back in Pre-PC/Seraphim Initative War. I remember finally getting into PC to only be smacked around. I remember taking a break to come back and be denied PC because "Cubs said so" and then getting our asses handed to us when we went up against them with the massive coalition. Four years of Dust and we had no district or much ISK, but we did have respect. If someone heard of us, they respected us. Even got props after the war from some of the players in the alliance. I. Never. EVER. QQ. If something needed to be fix, I spoke on it and even tried to push for it, but I never QQ. At this point, I know for damn sure QQ never works, yet I'm still seeing players QQ.
