With no mention of the Dust 514 community I refuse to play either game any longer. We are utterly alienated from the larger playerbase in this and the Citadels that will replace the pos bonuses no one really uses will be the complete divorce altogether. Many in both communities agree sov should end on the ground. To the current Dev team good job with doing so much but yes the Lack of funding, and lack of a solid answer to the next gen... I understand that ya gotta pay the bills but no one likes it. To the community you sprung out in the NPC war in the recent Amarr event was nice but of little significance. Many here are awesome and I will always value our friendships and rivalry. Big CCP has spoken and said we aren't important. 6 years of being a loyal customer. July 29th 2012 I bought a ps3 just to activate my closed beta invite. Hundreds of dollars spent. CCP you no longer deserve my money. Tl;Dr leaving due to Big CCP not our devs or the community. I too have spent hundreds of dollars on this game and thousands of hours as well, I even went so far as to give my money away and start biomassing. But then I thought about the everything I gambled on this game, my real life money and time. I'm not going to throw away my investment just yet, and I suggest you don't either. Take a break if you must but don't count Dust 514 out of the equation just yet. CCP is working on something, I can't tell you what, but I know deep down they are working on something that will change the future of Dust 514 and the fps game industry. We're not dead yet. I strongly doubt CCP is investing in this games future, as they're currently gambling their time and resources on Valk and mobile games. However, you never know. Better to have an account you never use until this game bites the dust then to biomass and have CCP actually do their jobs and bring the game up to speed.

The Amarr event we JUST had was focused around the same lore events that the later Amarr tournament is going to focus on. Meanwhile EVE players as a whole are not getting any player-wide gifts / items for the event of the empress dying. They get to experience the story line in space, but we have to accept that DUST in it's current form has no real ability to let players run the story segment of a singular event without it being a much larger "war". We also have no idea if there -will- be anything relating DUST side once the tournament comes around, or if there will be other events to compare that we get. If you want my unsolicited advice on this... Don't biomass. I can't stress this enough. Even if CCP doesn't get around to porting Dust for years, you don't want to lose the SP and name you have created for yourself. Uninstalling isn't a bad idea if Dust put a bad taste in your mouth. You don't want to play a game that you don't enjoy playing. You definitely should not want to play a game without a future. Keep in touch on the forums, on /r/Dust514, and the Dust twitter accounts. If nothing else you can see what is up with the community every now and then. Maybe reinstall in a few patches just to see what has changed. Everything went wrong and CCP had to simplify the game, imagine if they told us from the start that's a shooter based in NE universe, i'm sure that nobody would have complained about it, but they told it was a MMO FPS and expectation raised. I would highly recommend players go to the channel Imperial OOC or talk with guys like True Adamance or Thal Vadam. Items are awarded in EvE for significant events like game anniversaries or participation in Alliance tournaments. The EvE news 24 announcement is the OFFICIAL guidelines. Preach! I think the most telling thing about Valkyrie is that it's not directly connected to EVE. It's a standalone thing in the EVE universe. It seems like CCP has really given up on bringing a more connected experience to New Eden.

And I hope it doesn't the skin event felt alot like the original Drifters vs Amarr concept idea I had promoted first but I now think that killing off Dust with Drifters would put an end to how it was started lore wise in the first place. EvE killed Sarum who basically is the Mom of Dust. It's bittersweet leaving. If we had some semblance of the meta coordination the communities (EvE included) back in 2013 the Rouge Wedding could of been seen in a different light. Let's face it the Goon vs CVA conflict killed Sarum in CCPs new take on players influencing the games story mode but I'd rather root against John Cena with my 8 year old son. I don't care if you have spent $10 or $10,000, if you have stopped having fun and disappointed with the complete lack of communication from CCP then just walk away. Perceived value we are talking about indeed. And as such, we are discussing the utility derived from whatever monetary or time investment a person makes into Dust or it's perceived value. I haven't spent money on the game in quite some time, let alone played it in months, but I still derive utility from lurking the forums and seeing what is updated from time to time. I perceive it to be more valuable, in the long run, than other games, so here I am without a biomassed character. Others may not see it as such and they can leave on a whim or biomass, but that may not be a smart or rational choice to make given the future is ultimately always uncertain. A great refresher is to either find some kids or have your kids play this game. You'll laugh at how big a lol this game is. My son goes into a match and says, "What am I supposed to do?" I tell him, "See that red letter A? You have to get to that and hack it." He says, "Through all those red guys?" Yep. Then he says, "Heck with that" and proceeds to screw around by just running and shooting and exploring.
