No wonder this game is nearly dead since all you people care about is your own stats.
If someone claims that noobs quit because they are put against proto stonpers, everyone rushes in to claim that noobs love getting raped in fights where they have little to no chance of even making an impact.
Matchmaking works great as I have said many times before. If you want to play savior and talk about problems why not try thinking about why people are so systemically leaving battles causing the lopsided bullshit. Protos are put against protos but tend to abandon the fight when they know they are actually going to have to risk something leaving behind only the low level filler against the team that was created to be against a proto team. You should go read a book or something you are only making yourself look bad. I have explained why people are leaving battles for weeks now... And your reasons routinely fail to hold up to scrutiny. Then do explain to me why people leave in droves when they see that they are put up against proto stompers or when they are red lined within the first minute, explain that to me
Zero incentive to fight proto versus proto. Generally speaking the loss of 2 proto suits guarantees you will go ISK negative for the battle even if you win. I have consistently proposed a keep what you kill system to award fighting against suits of an equal level and to seriously screw over proto stompers by giving them next to no money for killing a bunch of standard and bpo suits.
Stat padding. For some strange reason people seem to think that K/D is the ruler of this game. For this I have proposed a DNF leader board so that there is negative stat to offset their ability to brag on an arbitrarily inflated number.
No support from their team. See item 1.
See that is how you explain a problem with things that can be easily proven and even propose fixes to those solutions.

Logic must be seriously avoiding you.
If proto players are guaranteed to lose money thanks to getting paid pennies per MLT suit the risk of losing a pro suit far out weighs the reward.
In a keep what you kill system pulling out a proto suit is just the same as putting a giant bounty on yourself. Newbies will be fighting over who can get the lucky kill shot in to make a boat load of cash. This also drives team work which is something difficult to find among randoms.
Oh and I am not sure if you have checked out SP gain lately but a newbie can have a full proto suit in under 2 weeks with a bit of boosting. They don't run it and compete against proto because they can not afford to. With KWYK running proto versus proto will result in a profit as long as you display more skill than your opponent.

Your argument was "this happening in a facwar is evidence there is a problem in pubs."
You have provided no evidence that what you are claiming is happening in pubs with Q-syncs. Were it happening with the frequency you claim people would crap out screenshots of q-synced pub contracts. You would be able to easily get video of your vaunted Pub Q-sync scoreboards without a problem.
People leave, because the stomp squad on their team gets cold feet, they see four people instadrop, and they decide "Hey, um, I don't want to play a match with a squad on the other team and we have none anymore..." So they leave too.
This is a simple, observable cause and effect.

Protostompers will be less inclined to go proto if they don't receive as large a reward for it and they are basically marking themselves as shiny targets for doing so. Likewise it would be great to kill a proto using a lower tier suit because you would get paid out the ass for it. Are you even reading anything anymore or are you just jumping to defending yourself right away? |
