Few pointers:
Vets and toughguys aren't tough just because they have a lot of SP.
They are tough because they have
- Dedication
- Connections (ever heard those threads translatable as "teamwork is op" threads?)
- Mentality and adaptive ability
- Experiece in shooters and tactical shooters
- Knowledge on previous things and mechanics (and maybe maps)
not that I didn't even have to resort to using the controversial word 'skill'.
The point is you'd still be fighting the same people, maybe just with new character names. Except for those who would quit the game altogether.
Also, as you know, your post is on very theoretical level.
CCP was forced to make a promise on Fanfest 2014 that if Legion comes real there WILL be character transfer from Dust.
They really made that promise.
Of course, they can do the dousche move of calling the game "Leg-10N" and then they slither away from the promisive given to dust community,...

Aur refund could possibly be a thing, but CCP won't be giving any money back. As was covered a little over a year ago in the exciting EULA/ToS debates/threads anybody wanting any form of cash refund must take it up with Sony, CCP has a pretty iron clad setup in that regard. |

You don't listen very well so I shall state one last time.
The idea of Legion was what they wished Dust 514 to be. By doing so they abondon what the players have put into this game via time and money, both of which are important to me as a gamer. If they moved to Legion and player progress did not transfer I as a player would no longer partake in such a game because I would feel that what I put into Dust would have been wasted. I also would not purchase Aurum which is pumping money into CCP to keep the lights on so to speak even though in comparison Eve does that fully well. |

They already ran away with the money and spent it all on hookers and coke. There's no way you're getting it back now.
