It's a matter of efficaciousness in the delivery of the message. Ok. Anyone know what this means? Simple English please. I come from a convict country that was stolen land by Englands democracy. Efficaciou... what the entire flux? Suppose, that and completly disregarding any of the statements I made in regard of the OP and turning it straight around into an 'we might do our jobs but the chance is nil' remind sme of the binary Legion crap. Speaking of? How's that working out? oh it's binary. *SMACKS MY HEAD. again, you didnt say I was wrong, all you did was misdirection Didn't work, Won't work. New CPM motto right there. He's telling you that if you don't say things the way CPM wants to hear it they will ignore you outright, as they feel this is justified since CCP outright ignores them. Or so I'd assume. You should be easier on CPM, they do voice up a lot against CCP, but what can you do when CCP constantly replies with, 'Can't" No, but close? That particular part meant that CCP is more likely to listen to your cries if they are well thought out posts that eschew rage. It's not about saying things the way I want them to be said...lol otherwise I'd just have passed over this thread and ignored it. I don't mind looking through the emotion for the point, but you're going to turn a lot more heads if they take you seriously and rage filled "CCP **** YOU, CPM **** YOU" posts aren't really the best way the entice people to do what you want. I'm here trying to help him and he's telling me I have an ulterior agenda of misdirection.
Mate, let me get one thing clear.
Never, in your career, ever mis quote me.
If you didnt mind looking threw the emotion of what you presumed I was conveying, teo things would of happend, maybe three.
1. You would of done your job. Not mis qouted me as saying FK CCP FK CPM FK DEVS, and actually quoted me as saying DO YOUR FKN JOBS. See you missed the key part of that. DO YOUR JOB. The fact I have to explain that to you, is bizarre and strange.
2. Instead of biasing your own personal experience, investigated what I have said in depth to each point and if not timely, appropriated a thorough response.
3. AND A BIG MAYBE.
DONE YOUR JOB.
Instead you dodged everything I said and glazed it over as I can't comment so I'll smokescreen.
There is three parts to this OP, CCP, CPM AND DEV. Each with an experienced players concern of the joke that this game is to a particular player base.
Each and every critical team, CCP, CPM AND DEV, Have failed to do their job.
Simple.
Now, if you actually have any indepth response or input on the specific points brought up, I look foward to your favorable reply, if not, don't waste my fkn time.

Simple.
This is all you've really said so far. I've condensed it a bit.
Let's start at the beginning shall we? CCP Shanghai was given programming rights to create Dust 514 because China has laws requiring schematics, and core data mechanics to be shared with the country in order to sell within its borders. (Which is why China is the leading producer of counterfeit goods. It's actually promoted by law to an extent.)
Having never really had a console in their country prior to this because of that law, CCP Shanghai had very, very, very little knowledge of anything console related. They started out with a much more robust game engine, and tried to make a lot of things happen. However, they found out that it only worked on their test computers, while client consoles could not handle it, and many broke down. After that they changed the engine over to Unreal, and basically had to start all over again implementing and processing details.
Much of this experimental venture caused a lot of problems, and over the years they began to realize how much work it would be just to maintain a live shooter, because no one in CCP had actually run a live server before. You may say "EvE", but that is a falsehood made to look like it's "live". The reality is that the game is slowed down whenever players interact with an area, and they called it "Time Dilation" as a result. So in Dust... all these bullet, item, and player calculations were causing problems that they had to actually start sorting out, because no one want to play a shooter, where everything slows down matrix style just so that the server can run a bunch of unneeded calculations.
As those systems were going in play, the money for supporting the servers was hit because they were now forced to spend it on training and fixing errors. Eventually the Oceanic servers population seemed to be plummeting, and participation was being reported at an all time low. They began to see monetary strain from keeping so many servers open at once, that they started looking at what they could cut back. The Oceanic server took a hit.
It's only been just a few months back, that asset optimization was something that CCP began to take seriously, and learn about. Hence now we are in a period where all our digital assets such as suits and vehicles, are being reduced to a basic set of models with skins. Once this data compression finally gets underway, they may start seeing improvements with the connections, and a reduction to the cost of operation.
-- As for the other things such as tanks? The names and frames were changed out because isolationist (only played one side and did not care about the other) AV or Tank users were complaining a lot, and CCP were reacting to their unstable complaints. It wasn't until they started talking to people who play BOTH Tank and AV that they began to get real balance, and as a result, there was a large discussion in these forums that happened to rework the layout of Tank and AV systems.
As for constantly telling someone to "Do their job." You could probably Dowload the Unreal engine for yourself and see what it takes to make and align assets. Seriously, it's free to use. Go apeshit on it.
I prefer using Blender + GIMP + Unity, but hey, first hand experience is always useful.

There's an awful lot of tender feelings being displayed in this thread, tender feeling of CCP, tender feelings of CPM, along with the message that tender feelings trump the data/facts in the OP's message.
There were a lot of quality points in the OP's message, and questions that the entire community has wanted answers to for a long time, and the OP's frustration is more than a little understandable. Furthermore there were no personal attacks in the OP.
Everybody has their own take on this based on culture and life experience, but from my own personal point of view i don't expect tender feelings to do much for the game. Tbh i expect them to do less than nothing.

I don't know where you got that quote from the CPM but it seems false and I'd love to see proof because that's not how the CPM should be speaking to the community.
I can't even begin to understand how frustrating it might have been to have the Oceanic server shut down.
My only comparison would be when red wedding happened and I was at fanfest and I came back and my corp and many others I had friends in all packed up and left the game en masse over the next 2 weeks.
I lost almost all my closest advisors and directors in a sweep of change i was unprepared for.
It hurt a lot to log on for the next few weeks, and some of those people I had no other way to contact because stupid PSN limiting the friends list :(
I can't pretend to tell you that we can bring back the Oceanic server.
But I can tell you that if there's a lot of support for it, our job is to push that common agenda to CCP, even if we know the chances are slim to nil.
So if there are many others out there that would like the Oceanic server back please try to rally support around threads like this and make noise.
The squeaky wheel get the grease and I wouldn't be here if you hadn't made this thread.
Sure, it may have been more efficacious in rallying support for your cause if it wasn't poorly written emotion, but that's why I advise you to go find whoever you can, and get people to support the change.
Have a good one man. I will remind you of something? ALL Australian based players, from the day OCEANIC was dropped as a supported region have suffered rolling disconnects in their Merc querters standing there doing nothing, in the middle of matches that they just dumped a million into the fight we get rolling disconnects, we can't even connect to voice communications without rolling disconnects, let alone engage in PC Battles. I run RAZORWORK, a now 12 year old EvE side channel that I still can't administer DUST side for lack of UI tools, no matter, I still ran for 2 years 'PayDirt' the only DUST RADIO channel thay offered fittings advice, a weekly talkback programme, tactics and deployment techniques, squad mechanic overvies for infantry and vehical Squad leads, basic tutorials etc. This was my community contribution. On top of Tactical Command of 900 affiliated players. RAZORWORK rarely, rarely came out of Delayed (aka local, where everyone is invisable until they type) because it was the go to place for vets and new players alike to X up and kill stuff. Now I can't even transmit voice communications to my own corp members in squad let alone anything else. So tell me, how should I engage with the community when I like the rest of my regions plaayer base, litterally can't talk to each other? That was sarcastic by the way. Asking a CPM how to engage with other players starts by actually playing this game. At least you didnt tell me I was wrong. Emotional, fk yes, I've had enough of this bullshite. Wrong? No. I probably have the most time in this game as any australian player, not even joking before studying i was jobless and played close to 16 hours a day, i have never once had these "rolling disconnects" nor have I ever had an issue with coms (only when everyone else is as well), PC lags and sucks for everyone so youre not special in that department, i also find it hard to believe there was 900 australian players in a single alliance/coalition, maybe 100 each with 8 alts. It sounds like a few things, youve probably spilt a few too many VBs on your PS3/Mic and your net probably just sucks... is australian internet after-all, and once again, never had a problem talking to people on any other server, from any other region, all over the world

Even if you had a point to be made about the Oceanic server being shut down, you choose to vent your frustration with a ranty badpost rather than appeal to reason. If you had even spent a moment reading Rattati's posts or Cross Atu's 'Feedback in a Crowd Source Environment' you would know that rants and emotional diarrhea won't get you anywhere. In fact, since OP is a rant you might get banned or at the very least the OP will get locked.
First, delete this thread. Quickly, before it gets you in trouble.
Second, take the same general concept of the thread but remove the swearing, exaggeration, and useless emotional nonsense.
Now you are ready to post.

We present community sentiment on an issue.
So if I say hey there's a lot of community support for "X" and that community support is one dude's sperging making unsubstantiated attacks on the CPM among other accusations...then they aren't likely to listen.
They aren't likely to listen now because there's been aussie players that came in and contested the rolling disconnects..meaning it's not a pervasive issue that affects all players in that area until more opinions are gathered.
As I said from the beginning...if this is an issue then you need to rally a bunch of aussie players who experience this and I suggest getting a lot of people together to demonstrate large group support for this grievance/issue/etc.
But I've made my point and I'll let the thread take it's course.
Cheers

This post really goes to show how someone feels out of ignorance from how corporate works. I can definitely say that most people in the player community know how to play the game but have no idea the full extent of what it has taken to make it. I'm not gonna tell anyone how to do their jobs or to do them. If this game was my baby if go insane trying to make it perfect. That's probably where everyone is at top to bottom.

Fanfest 2014 - I think it's pretty clear how often we're honestly heard, so what does it really matter if his input is frustrated or not, CCP will do what it wants when it wants because it wanted.

You can see some people here who are out right in agreement with the OP but just have a issue with how he said it(though, tbh, it's not that bad and I can easily understand why he is frustrated)
