I don't know where you got that quote from the CPM but it seems false and I'd love to see proof because that's not how the CPM should be speaking to the community.

I can't even begin to understand how frustrating it might have been to have the Oceanic server shut down.

My only comparison would be when red wedding happened and I was at fanfest and I came back and my corp and many others I had friends in all packed up and left the game en masse over the next 2 weeks.

I lost almost all my closest advisors and directors in a sweep of change i was unprepared for.

It hurt a lot to log on for the next few weeks, and some of those people I had no other way to contact because stupid PSN limiting the friends list :(

I can't pretend to tell you that we can bring back the Oceanic server.

But I can tell you that if there's a lot of support for it, our job is to push that common agenda to CCP, even if we know the chances are slim to nil.

So if there are many others out there that would like the Oceanic server back please try to rally support around threads like this and make noise.

The squeaky wheel get the grease and I wouldn't be here if you hadn't made this thread.

Sure, it may have been more efficacious in rallying support for your cause if it wasn't poorly written emotion, but that's why I advise you to go find whoever you can, and get people to support the change.

Well I'm calling out the whole lot. CCP,the DevTeam and lolCPM for not doing their fkn job.


I'm in Australia, which is currently an 'unsupported region' this is because who ever made the call, was lazy. Simple as that.
Oceanic was shut what near a year ago now? Why? you may ask... it was shut for the simple reason of laziness.

Oceanic was proliferated by cheaters, CCP are well, well aware of this because I was the only one constantly reporting all killboosters. It was terrible, aside from PC locking and 'stun lock' (which no one believed me about for 16 months) Oceanic and the cheating there was game breaking. So instead of stopping the mechanics, they shut the region.

At the time I had 2IC of an Australian based corp and had direct tactical command of over 600 players, 900 players in affiliated corps. The day Oceanic shut, it all disappeared. That day.
8 premier Australain based corps closed that week, and never recovered. Australian player base disintergrated.

lolCPM has done absolutly nothing positive for this game. Nothing. I litterally quote here 'We could NOT be bothered fixing the lag'. Seriously?
The one thing that the community has been screaming for is smooth gameplay. 3 years later, and 90% of the player base has left, we still put up with this shite? Not me.
Playing from Australia, I need to talk to Tokyo, *because apparently that is just north of Sydney* then talk to the region I deploy into, then to Iceland, back to deployed region, back to Tokyo and then to my region, then to console. This is NOT acceptable. If you look at how many Australians that there were and how many there is now in the DUST 514 playerbase you would realise that we got absoultly shat upon. Fk That. You know what is even worse? Asian killboosters that used to decimate Oceanic STILL do it on Tokyo Automatic and Asian region, when it runs, if ever. Asian region has not had a connectable and live match apart from domination for what 2 months now? I litterally just spent 6 hours testing this. Not a single match on Asia region. Guess that happens when you don't do your job.

The majority of CPM doesnt even play Dust. So why should CCP take on board their views.

CCP failed in their efforts with CPM, good ideal didnt work, and the now extreamly limited payroll Dust has is broken into split shifts of EvE and Dust.

The majority of Dust work that is actually under way has, and is BREAKFIX.
If it is broken, fix it. Like the squad problem the other day, that was possibly two if not one tech working on it. Not a team.
