Probably worth outlining my character here and keeping track of them.
Name: Eddie Chambers
S-X P-5 E-6 C-5 I-7 A-6 L-4 [More or less how I imagine them IC not in terms of a legitimate FNV build]
T.A.G.S
Melee Weapons Medicine Survival
Regular Perks [chosen for RP purposes that I'll slowly accrue during the RP] Light Touch GêÜ Travel Light GêÜ Intense Training x Toughness x Living Anatomy x Stone Wall x Piercing Strike x Weapons Handling x Silent Running x Walker Instinct x Ninja x Slayer x Tunnel Runner x Better Criticals x Just Lucky I'm Alive x
Companion Perk [ What my character adds to the party ] Way of the Road -
Other Perks [Chose 2 for the purposes of fairness] Tribal Wisdom GêÜ Melee Hacker x
I shall also update this post with information about Eddie as you guys learn it.
Backstory:
In the brief time the company had spent together they members had learned very little about one another. That being said it was reasonably safe to assume that it was common knowledge that the companions understood that Eddie had come out of the East from a small secluded cloister of Missionaries known as the Abbey of the Road, though for what reason few understood.
Knowledge of Eddie's Tribal heritage was of little surprise to the group. Few enough wasteland travellers made use of the iconic spears known to be used by the small and scattered Tribal groupings.
It was also common knowledge that Eddie was a trained and fairly skilled surgeon having practical experience in tending to wounded wastelanders under horrific conditions though fortunately few of the group had yet to have him minister to their wounds.

OR
For history's sake
Backstory: Max was born in the Mojave at the followers. Never knowing his parents, Max looked to Joshua Graham for guidance while he was at the followers. After events transpired and Caesar's Legion began, Max joined and trained to become a Centurion. He was given his name of Maximus Arelius and taught latin Cato by Edward, A.K.A Caesar.
After seeing what was occuring in Arizona and the amount of brutality and lack of humanity, Max left and disappeared into the west to the Mojave. While he was there, he ran in with the Desert rangers and joined them ever since. But after a while, things changed. Caesar's Legion came to the Mojave, Desert Rangers joined the NCR and innocent people started to get involved and attacked.
Max began to defend those he could from both Caesar's Legion and NCR but Max started to genuinely despise the Legion after they Killed everyone and took over Nelson and detonated a radioactive bomb in Searchlight. Having a grudge and disdain for both NCR and Legion, he kills both indiscriminately.
Being on his lonesome though, Max learned about survival, tracking, makeshift reparations and how to make his own bullets. Became acclimated to harsh conditions and how to carry heavy loads single handedly over time. He also learned how to prepare wasteland food and how to ration out water. Max learned all about survival as a whole.

As with True, this will be updated as you learn about it. Background:
A man in his late thirties to early forties, Lucas' profession was no secret to his companions, he was a mercenary. The nature of the jobs he took was less well known. It is assumed he murdered for caps, and while it was true he had done work as an assassin, there was also much more to his work. Caravan protection and clearing radscorpion nests were two such examples.
He hailed from the west and was well travelled, from as far north as Vault City to the southern reaches of the Boneyard. He had a particular connection with Junktown, though what that was only he knew
From his line of work he became skilled in utilising explosives, using energy weapons and keeping himself hidden. He also possesses a limited knowledge in science from before he became a mercenary.
What're you looking at me like that for? I'll shank you I will.

Name: Jason Carter Race: African American
S: 4 P: 8 (6 without glasses) E:4 C:6 I: 8 A:5 L: 6
Traits: Good Natured, Four Eyes.
Tagged Skills: Medicine Science Repair
Current perks: Comprehension Retention ??? - Your characters don't directly know this one
Known backstory: Jason was clearly a member of the Followers of the Apocalypse with a variety of the skills often associated with the group - medicine, research and mechanical maintenance abilities. A pacifist at heart Jason tries his best to avoid direct confrontation if he can, even having a Stealth Boy on his person so that he can slip away if trouble arises, though his lack of experience can cause him to simply abandon the memory of it occasionally.
Jason clearly suffers from an addiction to Mentats, which he claims he takes for a more medical reason. He is an avid reader of pre-war books and often would read any he can get his hands on, travelling with what can almost be described as a small library of books to pass the time with gaining as much knowledge as he can.

How does this sounds for a Companion perk. Not useful in terms of game content but for an RP it might be useful.
Turnpiking - +2 to Perception while travelling across any marked roadway for the purpose of detecting hidden objects and enemies.
or
Way of the Road - Increased chance to find valuable oddities and acquire information from travellers.

So... a few things. Firstly I've started Fallout Shelter, and I'm loving it.
Secondly I just realised that Jason's Mentat addiction puts him at 10 perception and 10 intelligence most of the time.
Thirdly, Kador I love both those perks personally but if I had to choose for your character it would honestly probably be Way of the Road since interacting with people would be how you would come across most of your supplies, since medical supplies would be a little more difficult to just find.
Finally, I'm thinking of Follower's Expertise for my companion perk: Allows for the use of less resources for medical and maintenance related tasks - leaving this mildly open to interpretation. Looking at it from a more mechanical point of view efficiency of things like Stimpaks and repairing weapons from scrap parts are increased.

I agree with you on the companion perk for Eddie.
I take it your perk is like Arcade's Better Healing but in terms of raw materials. E.G - Jason is the McGuyver of the Wastes.
Also when considering Mentat Addiction if you fail to have any one you....... you get hit with a -1 PE and 1- INT penalty......aka a really lousy migraine.
PS: Using my characters actual name is awesome.

PS: Using my characters actual name is awesome Well honestly Jason suffers from migraines naturally especially as you may have noticed OOC during stressful situations so it's nothing new to him.
I was trying to avoid directly copying Arcade's perk. Jason is a jack of all trades so yes. Don't forget it works with both medical and maintenance stuff so better healing is a part of it as well in the sense of using less medical resources to get better results; a result of working with the tight resources of the Followers.
The thing with your name is such a habit now that whenever I see you I automatically translate it to Kador.
If it makes you feel any better Max the iPad I'm using isn't mine and the person who uses it has to take with them to work so... yeah.
PS: An OD on Mentats like what Jason is on now would be a horrible thing to come down off of especially given his uhh condition.

I already took the bullet out.
I put that part about the pain in because when pressure is applied to existing wounds on the body it can cause severe inflammation and in the case of Max who was shot in the leg, I established by the shin, potentially fractures if stressing damage to the bone.
Walking with shin splints is a bloody night mare let alone a fractured leg. Was actually going to suggest Jason mix up a Super Stimpack or some Hydra for you which would theoretically take care of limb damage.

Well that's about as close as you're gonna get Max.
I'd like to ask for your thoughts on the companion perk, I have it above but I'll also paste it here. It'll link in with an as of yet undisclosed event in Lucas' past.
Ain't gonna happen again With each enemy of the same type killed in a short time, gain a small damage bonus against that type.

Max I don't mean to be rude but you do understand the concept of 'Godmodding' right?
Please do not be that guy whose character can do everything well on his own. For example, you have encountered two effective, what we called in the old impromptu theatre sports club, 'blocks' from two characters trained in medicine. Keep in mind you have other RPers working with you, overruling them and making yourself incredibly powerful does not make an RP enjoyable for others.
Now in addition to being a crack shot, survival expert, medical expert, sneaking expert, repairs guru etc you are an unarmed master and melee weapons god with 2 points additional in your SPECIAL (not that that really matters a great deal).
What would make sense about Max was if he was
Skilled at now and can bring to the adventure.
1. A Crack Shot with Revolvers and Long Rifles. [GUNS skill T.A.G] 2. Skilled at weapons maintenance and other repairs [REPAIR skill T.A.G] 3. Skilled at surviving in the wastes and knowledgeable about improvised medicines [SURVIVAL skill T.A.G]
Passable which will improve over the narrative.
4. A Fair hand to hand combat. Strong yes but lost some of his practicals skills from the old days. 5. Proficient enough at stealth. However the heavier Ranger armour that he wears prevents him from being too good. 6. Rather good at hand to hand combat having been trained by the Praetorian but again rusty.

Max isn't as skilled in medicine as he is in survival. If there are necessary resouces at hand, he can make tribal recipes but needs to be near a campfire to do so. He also lacks viciously in energy and explosives, being at a near 0 and his speech and barter skills are also incredibly lacking. He has little interest in science and refrsins from using modern medicine as much as possible. He also learned only how to repair weaponry, not exactly anything else. Also he used to be legion in direct contrast with the other characters as having a slightly disturbed morality to himself. I tried to make a experienced character that is better off on his own than in groups.
