That must be a crazy-tanked assault.
It's a highly logical nerf meant to normalize the ratio of speed to eHP on all dropsuits. I believe they'll have the same sprint speed, however.

Ironically, all of my Ferroscale fits will be slaughtered when I lose base movement speed. I'll have to switch back to brick tanking.

Did you look at the graphs?
They wouldn't be even comperable unless you tanked your assault with plates and your sentinel with KCs...

I'm beginning to think they should remove feroscale (and perhaps even reactive) plates and leave movement speed alone. This would give shield tankers back the advantage they had before these mods were introduced, give gal and amarr assaults the choice between speed or tank or utility for their lows instead of being stacked out with feroscales or reactives and strafing as fast as caldari and minmatar. |

Every Assault is getting hit in head but Caldari are the weakest ones to begin with.

Assault is the area between commandos and Logis. Less HP than Coms but more speed, More HP than logis but less speed. You can pick the suit that matches the HP/Speed ratio you want. |

Overall if assaults will be as i/we predict, there's gonna be way more scouts, commandos and logis.
Since strafing is very important in Dust i guess scouts and logis will take the slayer role.

While I think that the changes bring the Mobility to Defense ratios much more into line, and I support this notion, I will 100% agree that the Assault's very good Mobility/Defense Ratio is what set it apart. If that is going away, we need to come up with something else that makes them unique and interesting.

Lower hp also indicates higher regen over a defined time period in most circumstances. That's why ranged fights are usually encouraged, or close range dampend fits with many damage mods, the natural base shield regen helps a lot inbetween fights. |

Have you guys actually looked at the numbers or are you just kneejerking that wigglewiggle will be hurt? In most cases its less than a 0.5m loss of walk speed. The minmatar will be hit the hardest... but that's because their movement speed has long been out of line.

They want to keep their OP suits. When assaults were garbarge they were all asking for balance at the cost of everything else, now that they're over the other suits they can't stand to be toned down to the same level. Moreover most of them don't even try to understand what Rattati says. It's a strafing speed nerf basically, sprint speed will remain the same. For logis it's a strafe speed buff, but sprint speed remains the same so they will still be less good at slaying than assaults. |

Assaults are losing a bunch of speed and they weren't even the best suits roaming about the field. Assaults are now no different than Frames given they will start 'to pay for their HP' by losing speed. This is a nerf to all Assaults and one of them is in a terrible place already.
I may be wrong but I don't think I need to see the current proposal in action to see that my Minmatar Logistics is likely going to be an even better suit compared to my Caldari Assault.

I do not understand the need to buff things by nerfing other things.
It would probably be fine if assaults had a meaningful bonus but yet again almost every suit is going to out shine the assault at killing. |

We are keeping in mind that it is only walk speed affected right? sprint speeds will not be? Also, all suits should have to sacrifice speed for armor based hp. Assaults should be no different.
