Still dont like it. It performs sub par as AV and that goes aswell the same for infantry gameplay.

I have mentioned in the forums before about discovering a truly evil suit fit a couple months back. Now it looks like the cat is out of the bag. (Well mostly) I will let people discover for themselves the different fittings for the playstyle they like. I have been putting the fear in tanks before the AHMG had it's changes. Rattati I am sure you can go through my gameplay logs and discover what I use. You should try it out. it is a blast.

I wouldn't mind so much... But since a HMG can now blow up my LAV quicker than it can down my heavy suit (while I'm sat on the turret) it can get a little annoying... |

Being immune to most of the game's weapons is often taken for granted I see.
Considering the fact that after a few kills half of the enemy team is coming at you with AV, and you're risking a hell of a lot more than anyone else on the field... well, yes. Good point. I've been there, pissing off 5+ people and wondering why the team isn't pushing. I'm just not a fan of that cycle even when it works. It's very rage inducing and has made both sides hate eachother. As an AVer, I'm still having PTSD from 1.7. I dislike the idea of someone killing without consequence and getting away with it. And when I tank, I resent the the angry mobsters that follow me endlessly and somehow still hold all the points. I have a vision for V/AV balance, and it involves small blasters being awesome. I might make a thread.
Assuming pubs were actually centered around people wanting to win, it would actually be working perfectly right now. Bringing out a tank is like kicking the hornets nest. A huge chunk of the pubstars will abandon everything relevant to come after you. If its 5+, then consider you just effectively nullified a major portion of the enemy team all by yourself. Especially if you sit back and simply deny them any action for as long as possible.
The problem is that winning via stretching the enemy team out in this manner is boring, slow, and largely unrewarding. Killing people is fun. So naturally, this particular part of the big picture isn't really seen as terribly attractive, even though by all rights it damn well should be.
Usually banned for being too awesome.

In this case it's just a database error that will lilely be corrected sooner or later. It's not like the MO-4 is horridly expensive until then fortunately.

I have added this thread to the list of links to current Sentinel topics in The Bastion thread.
The Bastion is a thread for Sentinels to discuss Sentinel topics as well as serving as a focus group for Sentinels, just as The Barbershop acts as a discussion and a focus group for Scouts.

The ahmg is an excellent LAV killer. It can make an ADS panic and back off. But it is not a primaary AV weapon. But I can't complain about that because it's fking fun to use. That sounds like it is just where it should be. We would not want it competing with the Forge Gun. The AHMG is still supposed to be primarily an anti infantry weapon, while the Forge is primarily AV. The crossover on both weapons make them fun though.

The AHMG is supposed to be sub par as AV. It is also supposed to be sub par in CQC. It seems to be effective at anti infantry at 30 to 40m though, which is its primary purpose. AV is its secondary role, and it is primarily meant for killing LAVs, not HAV's. That is why killing a HAV with it is so satisfying!

The crossover on both weapons make them fun though. Agreed but the minmatar need a dedicated AV weapon badly. I was hoping the AHMG would be it, but I'm happy with the direction Rattati took it in. Overall it's a definitive squad close support weapon. Buckets of killing power without the old boundless instablap.
Overall I find if my enemy is kitted to kill my primary tank type then the battle using the AHMG is far from stacked in my favor in my optimal. I have a clear advantage, but a good fighter can put my sentinel suits down 1v1. I'm liking my dynamic.
On the flip side, an assault kitted to kill the wrong tank has a very difficult time overcoming the AHMG within its optimal. Ie scramblers or plasma vs my amarr or gallente fits or rail and combat rifles vs my min/cal sents.
My calsent tears armor tanked sentinels to ribbons. Usually.
All in all I think the dynamic of the AHMG is far more useful to the game than the old HMG meta. It's also more fun to have to think a bit more than your average bulldozer.
But that's me. Your mileage may vary.
