This weapon feels closest to the chromosome HMG. Actually has some range to it.
Thats not a bad thing.

Shouldn't it just have it's usual 85/115 efficiency and have proficiency apply? Having it at 100% all the time makes Gunnlogis even weaker, and Madrugars shrugging it off as usual.
Either way, it's a solid weapon. Honestly I do better with it vs. infantry than the regular HMG.
The profile is the way it is because if it wasn't, it couldn't stop shield regen.
Simply increasing the damage further would make it ridiculous against infantry.
This was a good compromise, and truthfully an AHMG still shouldnt be wrecking tanks all that much. It happens to bad tankers im sure but it requires all of half a second for a tank to back out of its effective range.

God's wrath upon HAVs if it could kill both infantry and vehicles effectively. Being immune to most of the game's weapons is often taken for granted I see.
Considering the fact that after a few kills half of the enemy team is coming at you with AV, and you're risking a hell of a lot more than anyone else on the field... well, yes.

I've been there, pissing off 5+ people and wondering why the team isn't pushing. I'm just not a fan of that cycle even when it works. It's very rage inducing and has made both sides hate eachother. As an AVer, I'm still having PTSD from 1.7. I dislike the idea of someone killing without consequence and getting away with it. And when I tank, I resent the the angry mobsters that follow me endlessly and somehow still hold all the points. I have a vision for V/AV balance, and it involves small blasters being awesome. I might make a thread.
Assuming pubs were actually centered around people wanting to win, it would actually be working perfectly right now. Bringing out a tank is like kicking the hornets nest. A huge chunk of the pubstars will abandon everything relevant to come after you. If its 5+, then consider you just effectively nullified a major portion of the enemy team all by yourself. Especially if you sit back and simply deny them any action for as long as possible.
The problem is that winning via stretching the enemy team out in this manner is boring, slow, and largely unrewarding. Killing people is fun. So naturally, this particular part of the big picture isn't really seen as terribly attractive, even though by all rights it damn well should be.
