How about plate and double harderners? :P It can take the most amount of burst damage out of all tanks, and 90% of my deaths are from burst damage anyway. Sustained damage it can't take however.

it's actually twin hardener always, and then either twin rep or plate + rep
twin rep is god mode vs everything but the plate version means you dont have to run to the redline during hardener cooldown.
Rattati, you forgot that when armor hardeners were 40% back in the day... armor reps werent passive. they were only active and they didnt rep armor every second either.
now that armor hardeners are back where they used to be, the current armor reps are being effectively boosted by 40% more.
you need to make changes to armor reps. either reduce their rep rate, or make them so that they only rep every 5 seconds or so
something has to be done beause after speaking with other vet tankers, no one even bothers tanking really. the basic maddy's are so strong that you dont need the upper tier versions and because of the way isk is paid out now now one see's the benefit in running a proto tank especailly since av nades and swarms are so easy to use while jumping 40m in the air... |

Btw, i think we are all running injector, i couple it with MCRU and heat sink.

running double reps+double hardener is a extreme risky fit. If you get cought with no hardeners avaible you will die. The setup above offers firepower, decent HP and a GTFO button to get quickly out of nasty situations. You could replace the heatsink with a damage mod but the damage mod only affects one type of turret while the heatsink works with blasters and rails. And if you encounter a big group of infantry its better to be aible to keep dishing out damage as just have a short burst of higher damage.
Bright is the opposite of dark! Who would have thought of that?!

Well, with so much AV running in everygame there isn't much choice if you want to do something useful before you become scrap and bolts. There is a difference beetween being destroyed by helping your team and being torn apart only to give WP to AV scums  .

Uh, fuel injectors and heatsinks are in the high slots. Those double hardened tanks are exactly the fit you are talking about. So uh, i don't know who exactly your'e referring to as lame, your orignal fit is the same one your blasting.
Just for reference heat sink, fuel injector, double hardener and repper is my Soma fit.

Doesn't matter if its lame. Lame doesn't win you tank battles where you are risking 1 Million or more ISK.
I'd rather run a themed Amarrian fit over a top tier fit any day but I cannot afford to ISK wise when my opponents won't pander to my personal RP.
