I don't care about this BS trade system it seems not even half way put together. so no way in heck I am trading. 1 of the 2 has to send the isk or item and HOPE the other holds their end of the deal. WHAT THE FREAK? who would trade like that? skins can be nice but who cares what skin is what color. I use the colors now to tell one suit from another. basic or proto to bpo to apex. besides I wanted the Hotfix first not this junk. tanks needed fixing. ei SHAV having 3 turrets? armor hardners needing to be dropped to 30% not 40%, oh my favorite right here an ARMOR LAV (132)has a higher shield recharge rate than a shield tank (126) what good as a shield regulator since it is a highslot instead of low slot, cpu/pg higher than an adv damage mods, and no way to increase a vehicles shield recharge? a basic light shield booster is far better that a shield regulator right now. it give 900 shield and helps auto shield recharging. the equipment needs fixing as well. some hives I can carry 6 from basic to adv while proto I can only carry 3-4? what the? uplinks & proximity explosives are the same as the hives. |

Welcome to New Eden where scamming is perfectly legal. Eve Online may have a more secure trade system in place, but there is nothing about that system that makes it scam proof. Scammers will figure out ways around the system even if it becomes more secure in Dust. The only difference between now and the future is that scammers need to be clever in the future.
In the end, CCP will not be answering any petitions on scams unless the scam happens to involve a code from the code bazaar.

There all most likely be third parties that will hold both items/ISK and swap, ensuring a clean trade (eg Chribba). These third parties are bound by their reputation and the prospect of making more ISK through third-partying than through a one-time scam.
The risk is all part of the fun. You don't have to trade anything.

Welcome to New Eden indeed. And finally!
Congrats for establishing trading in the game. There are several very simple security methods that have been employed throughout history in the real-life bartering systems. It NEVER needs to be on the faith-n-trust system. I would suggest even using the simple 1/3-method used by, err um, illegal dealers. Break your consignment into threes. Trade simply for 1/3 of the consignment at a time. First trade allows each party to CONFIRM the item is correct. Second and third transactions eventually complete the trade. If you get deceived anywhere along the way, you only lose 1/3 your consignment. And you remember the player who scammed you.
No, I won't be trading with you all for quite a few months yet,GǪ But I already know exactly what I want to obtain, and I know it will be out there sitting on a few people's shelves, gathering dust bunnies (because you may not realize just how powerful the item is, when used in the right context), until I arrange to take it off you hands.
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...

read what I put. you could scam 10-20% of the people (ei one side of the parties and get away with it) besides WHY would you trust a third party anyways? better yet why pay another party to hold the items/isk when there is a trade fee on all trades? so again half together trade system. I WANT THE MATCH MAKING FIXED. sick of these 5-10 against 10-16 teams! |

Possibly even farcical.
An explanation would be nice. The issue from the other side is considering the horribly slow progression from the lower levels to the vaulted #4 the effort required is just another massive hurdle to overcome. So why do it? There are other games to play. We are actually trying to convince new players to give Dust a try. Yet a significant new feature is blocked from the new. For a very, very long time.
Is there some spreadsheet or a posting that explains exactly how points are accrued? The explanation in game is odd considering that a brand new character/toon in my third slot gets my level, even if it does nothing. I would really like to know what the points are for buying and spending AUR.
My favorite tank is a Lightning. Just sayin.

This point is very valid indeed. I feel the rank limit is a little too high, level 2 would probably be a good spot I feel. Make new characters want to work or spend aurum to get there but dont make the goal seem unachievable.

From the Patch Notes
This feature will roll out two weeks after the deployment of Warlords 1.1 due to server changes we have to perform in order for this to be fully functional.

If you have a spare character slot, create a CEO. Create a corp. Have your toons donate to the corp.
Now the hard part. Either you need a level 4+ director to redistribute the wealth. For any good salvage items, you're skewed*. Any good items the low level toons acquire are either sold for a pittance (or a pittance +15%) or just waste space in a cluttered inventory screen.
The other option is to join a corp that you trust. Which is essentially impossible as they can tax at 100% arbitrarily, abuse those in the corp and it is all sanctioned activity by CCP, cause getting stabbed in the back is 'ANEB', Approved New Eden Behavior. They even insult you for disliking same; HTFU and all that. The only good news related to Dust in New Eden is the NPC corps don't tax like the EVE Online ones do. Very rude to say the least.
Have a nice day, just don't expect to have it down in the dust. Until you're loyal punted to 4.

Level 4 is perfect as is. If the level were lower people would be more willing to invest a little time to scam people. With it being higher, it makes people more reluctant to want to do stuff and risk repurcussion of any sort. Though I'm sure SOME will, not many are going to invest all those hours, weeks, months, whatever or real cash to make an account just to scam people and send it to their main.
