I'm hearing (and experienced) a bug where the entire squad disconnects and the game goes on.
Happened several times last night to us, but I only found out after the fact the rest of the match went on. |

Actually, it might not be -all- people ragequitting. Twice now I've been dropped from battle within the first minute since the new matchmaker was implemented. So while I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't like the idea of getting stomped in a 13 v 9 where the other side has a corp squad visible, there may be something else going on here as well.

I think there is definitely a huge ***** streak going on.
Just watch the right hand corner at the beginning of the match. You'll see KD/R padding slayers backing in and out.
Watched one guy (well known slayer) leave and enter our match three times.
I'm sure he was being dc'd .

Youd think thered be a line of code in the scotty logic that 'red flags' a battle that the player just left, recusing them from that particular battle.
and if theres not, there reallly should be.
Reading these forums will drive a man to drink. ...don't see how that's bad i guess

No joke I had my search set on all 3 modes and I got the train map, ambush, skirmish and dom 2 sets. I dont care that much but wow.

Dude we got the train map 4 times in a squad of 5 this past monday on skirmish. You can't call that a rotation. No Quits. Won 3 Lost 2.

If you get the train map it's a 100% chance you will be getting it again. |

Relative starter suit newberry here and at present I have to say that they are going great. There are a few issues with incomplete teams, people leaving and not being replaced etc but so far I've had two generally really good days in my starter suit. Close matches down to the last few clones and ticks on the MCC counter. There is more of a problem of people suiciding out of the MCC than leaving battle, although it does happen en masse occasionally. Probably still need to hear from some genuinely new new players though.
Other issues include the occasional proto bear showing up and going 65/0.
Other things I've noticed include; Really new players still being a bit out of their depth.... More tutorials in the academy needed eg hacking and drop uplinks. Most squads are two/three people at most but usually there are none. Without all the proto vets around more styles of play seem to develop in the match. More snipe, counter snipe More dropship transportation. Tanks are tough and can dominate but you can still get a few WP with militia swarms. Installations sometimes last the whole match, swap sides multiple times and are both useful and a threat. Encountering a proto suit is a 'woah sh@t' moment not a 'here we go again' one. Although without all proto modules on top they are tough but not invincible. People with APEX suits have probably made a good investment at this level.... Oh and I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Militia Assault Scrambler seems to wreck.
Maybe I've been lucky, and maybe it helps that I am currently no longer the squshiest thing on the battlefield, but it's been fun even if there are still a few issues to work through. Still needs more time to bed in and see what happens when people start going up down between the tiers but it seems pretty ok at the moment. |

What is happening is that map has become stigmatized, it has a bad rep now....
I know there are now tonnes of players that back out of that map immediately when they see it.
I suggest that you actually reduce it's rotation somewhere below that of the other maps.
It will take at least 2 months to get people out of the habit of backing out of that map now.
The additional players that replace those that leave may be skewing your stats if you haven't accounted for that already.
Meaning that the rotation may be the same, but the amount of players that see that map may be higher due to so many backing out and being replaced. (Just a guess)
Sadly the train map is one of the most stable as far as frame rate and lag goes.
However the map is hated for two reasons.
High rotation, (perceived or not)
Higher use of plasma cannon, remotes and mass drivers which are frustrate any attempts to clear out the Train Station objective.
Compare the amount of players backing out of the Train Map to the Lag Facility that you removed from PC rotation.
The Lag Facility is well known for heavy spam, mass drivers, remotes and plasma cannons and often horrible frame rates.
However, due to the lower rotation and ability to clear the underground objective with an orbital strike, players will suffer through it.
I guarantee the train map has a higher rate of players backing out.

For the noobs, there needs to be more explanation how things work in Dust!
You always have people shooting the MCC with a turret... because they might think that turrets are nullcannons. This needs to be clarified in academy! Turrets do no damage to MCCs! Also the name nullcannon is misleading, since they are actually missile launchers, and if you do not pay attention, and with the distance some of the launchers have to the corresponding terminal, it is very likely that the noobs don't get the connection betwheen the two.
It also needs to be clarified, that these Nulllaunchers are where the win comes from, and not hacking the installations. But if you see yourself higher on the board when you hack a lot of stuff, than you will do it anyway (at least that's what I did when I started this game).
Also the importance of uplinks for the momentum of your team and the amount of warpoints you get for dropping them should be spoken about in a tutorial. Also that spawn direction corelates to the direction you are facing when dropping ULs is an important thing to tell the newbs.
Finally, a basic course in loadout handling will help the new players. Especcially telling them, that shield, armour skills and scan precision are pretty much the base for success in Dust. A lot of frustration can be avoided if new players get the basic hints before they waste a lot of sp for non essential stuff. |

Haven't had the MCC construction site more than 3 times since it came out . I get the trainyard map 3/4 matches. Just makes it hard to play this game. I hate it , worst designed map ever. Switch its rarity with the Mcc construction site(my fave map) please. Everyone's calling for it.

Only problem with the train map is the attacker is always doing the same thing, spamming explosives from above, and then taking the objective. Then the defender turns into the atacker, rinse repeat. The only thing that breaks this cycle is if enough people hold the roof, and prevent the attacker to drop on the walkways...
Ther should be an option, to get to the walkways from the node level.
Also the homespawns out of the redline are often camped, this is especcially a problem for noobs, but can be countered. I would prefer a passive scan in theese areas though, so that you see enemys camping those spawns. |

You work to hard and don't receive the credit you deserve from a majority of players. Veterans can see the difference in DUST and just looking at old game play compared to what we have today its come a hell of a long way. With Valkary and legion in the works I'm ippressed with the level of attention we still get as gamers and big kids. Thanks bro

I'll bet 100 million ISK that I get the train map on skirmish 50% of the time. Then about 20% of the time I get the old school map with the table top in the center. |

With the way the match maker is working and with people abandoning tough fights it makes plenty of sense to put you back in the same match.
Or if you repeatedly leave matchs get flagged and be unable to play for X minutes. Whether or not you like a particular map when you back out after the match maker has done it's thing you screw over both sides.

CCP im sorry but that map just sucks the spawn points are to close in to the point . calling in rdv,s is just messed up when your be in the open flat ground but the game said you cant call in there yet calling a rdv on a hill or cliff and that's ok to drop ! Da F....! spawn camping at start spawn is like a must in this map buildings and even the ground its self is like if it was made from Command and Conquer Generals World Builder buy a 6 yr old. ( you cant tell me and us players its not that bad when a lot of the buildings are ether sunk into the map or floating over the ground or closed box,s that you can put up links next to and inside so players cant get out when they spawn. the ground its self is so uneven that driving anything can kill you.
i can go on but i think you get my point the map and all the maps need to be FIXED be for you go saying you like anything about any of them when a lot of players most of them from beta want to put a foot up the devs that made the maps .... as well as the guys that said ok looks good add it !

It really is like 80 - 90% for some of us. I know that it is just bad luck but there is something in the rotation that once you sync up with it you can not play any other map. I have logged on and played 6 battles in a row on the train map before rage quitting after the 7th time I got it.
This is a perfect example of stats not representing the real world. I am glad to hear its being worked on tho.
In the mean time can you switch out the train map and the MCC construction map in the rotation? There has to be a way to like swap out their IDs or something. I am still running into people that have not played it a single time and I myself have only had the pleasure of playing it 3-4 times since its release. |

I've never played on the mcc map yet! I only play domination though, so that's probably why :P
But I get the train map over 50% of the time. Sometimes I can make loads of ISK from it, but sometimes it's a total stomp, and one side keeps the other at their home base for most of the match.
I miss the gal research facility - I've not seen it in over a week! |

^This! Jeez. The new MCC map is awesome once you get to know it, but it's hard when you only see it once a week. I have easily played the trainyard map an average of 10 times per session.

Just wanted to say that I for one have only played that map the once (the MCC construction map) and it confused the hell out of me! haha. Meanwhile, I have had days where I play the train map 3 or 4 times in a row!

I have played that MCC map about 6 times now, and it's much more varied in how to aproach the objectives then the Trainyard map. |

The gameplay that I have seen in my few experiences on that map was absolutely great.
It has lots of vertical gameplay that works in favor of everyone not just myofib scouts. It is also nearly impossible to redline a team or be redlined on it which may partly be because people do not know it well yet.
Also its size and ability to attack from different directions so easily makes it non stop action as oppose to the usual routine of well they took out our links so I have to spawn at the MCC and either call in a vehicle or run 2000 meters to get uplinks behind the enemy.
I for one think they need to stick this thing under special contracts and let us choose to play that map as many times as we want to both learn the map and give CCP a huge amount of data on how well that functions because I am looking forward to a lot more designs that work in a similar fashion. I would not care if there was any match making to it or not. It can work just like FW and start once 32 people have hit go.
