For Gal: Reload bonus, (Yeah its not a joke, a reload bonus would go well with a speed and rep tanked Gal assault designed to shred multiple opponents in CQC), A range buff, though that should be kept at 2% max 3% per level, there have been plenty of good suggestions in various threads...
How do I put this...? Don't tweak my Gal Assault. Its perfect as it is.
To the OP, the Min assault is fine. I honestly still think it sucks.

How else do we nerf it? Not the way to do it. I agree that it's recent popularity isn't a coincidence and some rebalance is needed but the speed is supposed to be big and hp is low enough.
I suggest -1 low slot for a 4/3 slot layout at proto. Should work great and make speed tanking more necessary instead of stacking HP mods.
EDIT: I have min assault too and think it needs a slight balance, but maybe not any. We'll see.

Strafing speed is just stupiditly insane on that suit. Trying to kill some 1 with that suit while hes using a keayboard/mouse is near impossible cause you are appearently aible to dodge bullets like neo with it.
I make the scrubs scream and the vets cry.

You can tweak these suits til you're out of ideas, but it's the games hit detection issues. Not the suit. The faster you move the worse it gets. That's why the min assault,and scouts don't die when shot at the way heavies do. I have an easier time killing heavies lol!

Speeds are normalized at -0.1 m/s base movement: Google Doc
MN Assault Base Movement: 5.30 ---> 5.20
* Sprint is a derived stat; it will follow automatically.

If Rattati can get us a few more frames it'll prolly be a moot point because the min Assault will go back to being average or marginally up. Would rather see Ratt focus on fps before nerfing the fast suits around framerate/hit detection.

The suit is actually garbage. As all Minmatar suits would be. It doesn't have any advantages... however the fact that it's hitbox is straight up broken may have something to do with people flocking to it

I hope everyone saying it is balanced realises that it loses 40hp to gain 0.3 m/s movement speed, sprint speed is nearly 0.4m/s more with biotics upgrades 5. It has similar Hp to all the other assaults and on top of that, it moves much faster.
How in the world is that balanced? It needs looking at, don't swing the hammer at it, but a slight tap won't hurt. |

Gal and Amarr play the same way. Amarr is supposed to be brick tank but nobody runs brick tank plates anymore due to strafe penalty so that playstyle is busted unless you have a logi cheerleading squad. Cal is just... I don't even know. That suit isn't broken exactly, but it sure as hell isn't standing out as something to fear. Yes Himiko, theoretically you are correct in the above statements, yet the oh so bleak reality, that is gameplay begs to differ. The MinAssault can strafe faster, be adaptable enough to complement almost any racial weapon and boast an even amount of shield/armor to take on anyone and anything. As for the Cal Assault...it is a sad suit for a sad race.
Min assault still loses to amarr assault with SCR, and any suit with a regular AR of equal skill. It's not invincible.
If by plot twist it is brick tanked, it ends up losing to other min assaults.
Not in theory, in practice.
Usually banned for being too awesome.

It might need a small tweak, but I think this issue has more to do with Caldari and Gallente assault bonuses being garbage. If those were stronger, I think we'd see more variety. The Min assault has a very strong bonus to a very good weapon. That combo makes it desirable.

Nerf it any lower and you'll have a suit with equal HP to a scout without E-war, extra equipment or hitbox benefits. Nobody would run it.
So you can either beat the scouts and the min assault down, or you can raise the other assaults up. It requires very little to make them desirable.
Amarr suit gets a movement penalty reduction to plates.
Gallente gets a % bonus to repairers.
Caldari gets a banjo and a backup singer.
Min Assault gets some harmless bonus that ends up just putting them where they are now in terms of efficiency after a stat nerf to compensate for it.
Usually banned for being too awesome.

Since i restarted my SP,i speced in AR and minmatar assaults are not the problem anymore.All I can see is that Minmatar assault is running from me and fails.Any antishield weapon can beat the **** out of them.

the same applies to combat rifles. I will spare you from making yourself look stupid and tell you right away, the paper RPM is only during the 3 round burst. it has a burst delay after each which brings it to 857 RPM in total.
the only real fix we need is some kind of movement acceleration to prevent wobbling left right. as for hit detection, I have no problem hitting a kin cat boosted sprinting minmatar light in the head with any single shot weapon. |

I agree with this. The HP and speed on the min is not the issue. It's super charged stamina regen is. The min can sprint and jump too too much like a scout.
