My issue with the min assault is it's ability to tank and have the speed
Increased speed is the Minmatar thing, so I wouldn't touch that even though a .5 speed reduction may not be that noticible
The 4/4 layout is very cool and should stay as well
I would suggest reducing initial armor before shields (less armor - less mass = more speed)
I would also suggest reducing the CPU capacity of the suit (maybe 20% per tier- not sure what a fair amount would be before seriously gimping the suit)

There is nothing wrong with the suit and it's a matter of the other assault suits receiving specific buffs that set them further apart and make them more viable (For example: a much improved cal assault bonus and buff to shield recharge and depleted delay reduction )

I tried turning the Cal Assault into a proxy Min Assault with shield stacking and kinkats and my PG just laughed at me. A reduction in PG would seem more viable.

Min Assault is fine tbh. It's the only assault suit that is really empowered to do what it was designed to do with a level of magnificence.
Gal and Amarr play the same way. Amarr is supposed to be brick tank but nobody runs brick tank plates anymore due to strafe penalty so that playstyle is busted unless you have a logi cheerleading squad. It's all minor buffer and repair, with amarr being slower overall. Ultimately comes down to which weapon bonus suits your playstyle better.
Cal is just... I don't even know. That suit isn't broken exactly, but it sure as hell isn't standing out as something to fear.

If you want it to be a low HP fast assault, make it have better regen than the cal assault.
Don't slow it down. Speed is actually what defines the Min Assault. Its ability to quickly maneuver the battlefield is half the reason why I love the suit (And all other minmatar suits)

It doesn't need a nerf, it needs a tweak, there is a huge difference. Lets take movement speed for starters.
Amm = 4,8 Cal & Gal = 5 Min = 5,3 This should be 5.2 to put it in line with the general progression.
Next I would reduce the stamina regen from 50 ish to 30 ish.
I would start with the 2 changes mentioned above, if this would be "not enough", then a slight HP nerf is in order, maye around 30...
As it is now, the Ammar and Minmatar suits are as good as equal in terms of "general viability". This has a lot to do with their bonuses and how good the various guns perform.
Ideally, I would like to cange the racial bonuses of the Cal and maybe even the Gal assault and testing the new meta before even thouching the Min suit.
There are many good suggestions:
For Cal: reduction to ADS kick, reduction of charge up time, increased clip size like the Min has of today.
For Gal: Reload bonus, (Yeah its not a joke, a reload bonus would go well with a speed and rep tanked Gal assault designed to shred multiple opponents in CQC), A range buff, though that should be kept at 2% max 3% per level, there have been plenty of good suggestions in various threads...

Yes Himiko, theoretically you are correct in the above statements, yet the oh so bleak reality, that is gameplay begs to differ. The MinAssault can strafe faster, be adaptable enough to complement almost any racial weapon and boast an even amount of shield/armor to take on anyone and anything.
As for the Cal Assault...it is a sad suit for a sad race.

Don't touch their speed. They are supposed to be speedy.
What needs to be tweaked is the stamina. Something that fast should not recover even faster. Reduce their stamina regen to 30-isj and maybe they will get fixed.

I'm not sure the Min assault really needs a nerf. It does exactly what it is supposed to do; act as a versatile light assault. Similarly, the Amarr assault functions well in a tanky front line role. The Gal fills a similar role, and could use a small buff to help differentiate it from the Amarr and bring it to a similar place. Right now it is viable, but there are better options for the same task. An offensive buff in the form of a small increase in range or a defensive buff in the form of a little extra armor regen would probably do the trick. Better passive scanning at short range could be interesting too. The Cal isn't broken but could use a bit of love. It has a unique niche as a shield regen tanker that plays at range and can be used effectively. Socket/objective design hampers it a bit as CQC seems to be favored under more circumstances than mid/long range play. Some combination of offensive/defensive buffs to improve it's performance may be in order. Less kick on rails, a small amount of energy resistance or some sort of buff to shield buffer/regen/delay come to mind.

noooooo. Noooooo. The Min assault is the only balanced suit in the game. Sure they can move pretty quickly but considering the fact that a sentinel ak.o could theoretically move faster it isn't an issue. If you can hit a scout then you can hit a min assault. The ability to tank doesn't mean much bc it slows you down. If you can deal with heavies you can deal with the min assault. A Ammar assault could have more hp. If its tanked and fast its only and issue if your not good. I run min assault all the time and I don't find that its excessively fast If you armor tank a min assault is slower than a cal assault. |

Min Ass doesn't need nerf, lolstrafing needs to be nerfed. Add to that a sliight buff to commandos and a change to Cal assault bonus and the game seems pretty balanced |

You guys do realize that the only reason the min assault got buffed was because it was lacking WAY TOO MUCH EHP and it was brought up to par reasonably with the others while still having the lowest Ehp.
And FFS can we please balance things lore wise or race vs race wise, eg. MinVamarr and calVgal. Instead of comparing to all of everyone

Number 1. A .5 nerf to speed is ridiculous, and will completely screw MinAss users over. Number 2. All of the assaults are balanced, the Amarr rapes the MinAss all the time, and vice versa.
